Church Shooter: Church members seemed to have known the perpetrator, whom some call a convert to Islam

Via comment by Anonymous on At least 27 people killed' at a Texas church and ...

The shooter walked into the church in Southerland Springs Texas at 11:45 am Sunday morning. Churchgoers knew the shooter who carried automatic weapons.

The shooter is dead. He has been officially identified as Devon Patrick Kelly, but Mustachio Tweeted: "#texaschurchshooting shooter is 29 year old US Airman turned Muslim convert, Samir Al-Hajeed. His manifesto is making its rounds on the web."

Donna Brazile Says She "Feared For Her Life" After Seth Rich Was Killed

Perhaps the most shocking revelation contained in the excerpts from former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile’s book was, unsurprisingly, buried in a Washington Post overview of the various allegations (and frankly, we’re surprised the Post, given its status as a protector of the Washington establishment, deigned to publish it).

In the aftermath of Wikileaks’ decision to publish a cache of emails stolen from the DNC’s servers, Donna Brazile says she became increasingly paranoid about both possible Russian efforts to sway the election. Surprisingly, she says top Democrats initially instructed her not to discuss her concerns with others.

But even more than the Russians, Brazile says she feared possible retribution from shadowy elements within the campaign and the Democratic Party who might blame her for the leak. Her fears only intensified, she says, after the mysterious shooting of former campaign staffer Seth Rich, who the authorities said was killed during a robbery, though many so-called conspiracy theorists have speculated about a possible Democratic plot to kill Rich for his role in leaking the stash of DNC emails to Wikileaks. Brazile's anxiety eventuallyspiraled out of control, to the point where she feared for her own life while serving as interim chairwoman of the DNC.

City of Charlottesville Blamed for August Violence

Via Billy

Amazing that they published the truth

“The City of Charlottesville was responsible for the events on August 12,” a preliminary report of the Governor’s Civil Unrest Task Force has concluded. The report was compiled by first responders from around Virginia in response to the tragic and violent events in Charlottesville, Virginia, in which neo-Nazis and members of the Ku Klux Klan clashed with Antifa demonstrators. Antifa is an organization of radical leftists associated with communism and anarchism.

The incident turned deadly when a white nationalist ran his car into a crowd of Antifa demonstrators, killing 32-year-old Heather Heyer. Several others were injured.

When President Donald Trump reacted to the violent and tragic events by denouncing the violence “on all sides,” he was immediately and repeatedly castigated by the liberal media as somehow defending the neo-Nazis and Klansmen. On the other hand, Antifa was portrayed by the anti-Trump media as peaceful counter-demonstrators.

The report, however, placed much of the blame for the demonstration erupting into violence on the response of the Charlottesville government officials. “The City of Charlottesville placed minimal/no restrictions on the demonstrators,” the report charged.

In fact, the report noted, “Many recommendations communicated by the state to the City of Charlottesville were not accepted, including industry best practices for handling violent events.”

Decades after a devastating war, trailblazing Mormon mission president delights in his return to Vietnam, armed with a gospel of peace

It was 1974, and a lanky young Mormon missionary from Salt Lake City was sent into the heart of what had been America’s biggest nightmare: Vietnam.

For decades, an unpopular war in Southeast Asia had taken the lives of tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers and hundreds of thousands of Vietnamese, while protests against continued U.S. involvement raged on college campuses and city streets.

By the time 19-year-old Lewis Hassell arrived in Saigon, the war was winding down. The U.S. military had withdrawn, leaving behind mostly American expatriates and contractors. Still, he recalls hearing — and feeling — pops of artillery nearby.

Hassell, who at 6-foot-5 towered over the locals, was called to serve in a tiny Vietnamese district of the LDS Church’s Hong Kong Mission. With his missionary partner, or companion, he spent his first two months being schooled in the language by a non-Mormon tutor, then walking the streets to seek converts.

Women’s March leader helped NYC terror attacker

Via John

What do the Women’s March, Glamour magazine, and the radical Islamic terrorist who killed 8 New Yorkers this week have in common?

The Left’s favorite Muslim activist is at the center of a twisted puzzle that literally let terrorist Sayfullo Saipov get away with murder.

Linda Sarsour – one of the chairs of the Trump-trashing Women’s March – helped get the cops off his trail.

Let’s start with the attack and work backwards.

As soon as someone notified her that the killer yelled the Muslim prayer “Allahu akhbar!” during his attack, Sarsour tried to deny it.

'At least 27 people killed' at a Texas church and multiple people injured

The shooting happened at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, where around 50 people usually attend service, according to local reports

At least 27 people have been killed inside a Texas church - including a two-year-old child - after a gunman dressed in full combat gear opened fire during the morning service before cops shot him dead.

The shooting happened at the First Baptist Church of Sutherland Springs, where around 50 people usually attend service, according to local reports.

Wilson County Commissioner Albert Gamez Jr told CNN that at least 27 people have been killed in the shooting, but the death toll is expected to climb.

'My heart is broken,' Gamez said. 'We never think where it can happen, and it does happen. It doesn't matter where you're at. In a small community, real quiet and everything, and look at this, what can happen.'

At least 24 others were injured in the horrific shooting. Witnesses said a man 'in full gear' walked inside the church and opened fire just before 11.30am.

First Baptist Church Pastor Frank Pomeroy told ABC that his 14-year-old daughter is among the dead.  She 'was one very beautiful, special child,' the pastor said.

Catalan ex-president Carles Puigdemont, 4 others in Belgian police custody

Via Billy

Ousted Catalan President Carles Puigdemont reportedly turned himself in to police in Brussels on Sunday.

Brussels prosecutors said Sunday that ousted Catalan president Carles Puigdemont and four ex-regional ministers were taken into custody to start the process of their possible extradition to Spain.
The five presented themselves to federal police at around 9 a.m. local time, Brussels prosecutor's office spokesman Gilles Dejemeppe said. He said that they haven't been arrested and that Puigdemont and the four members of his disbanded Cabinet will be heard by an investigative judge later in the day.

The Belgian judge will have to decide within 24 hours what comes next for the five separatist politicians wanted in Spain on suspicion of rebellion for pushing through a declaration of independence for the northeastern Catalonia in violation of Spain's Constitution.

Hillary Clinton's scheme in 'rigging' the nomination may have been criminal

Via Billy

http://www.teapartytribune.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/11/Hillary-crying.jpg

Hillary Clinton has spent a year crying about how the presidency was stolen from her. Turns out, she stole the Democratic nomination from Bernie Sanders.

The stunning revelation from former Democratic National Committee interim chairperson Donna Brazile that Clinton secretly rigged the primary process by commandeering the DNC should come as no surprise to anyone. Clinton is nothing, if not unethical and corrupt. She always has been. This is precisely why pre-election polls consistently showed that a majority of Americans found her dishonest and untrustworthy.

The critical question now is whether she committed crimes in her theft of the nomination.

Trump hands American small businesses and workers a win

Trump hands American small businesses and workers a win

The Trump tax plan that has now been drafted in the House includes the biggest small business tax cut in at least 15 years. We believe the small business employers who hire well over half of American workers are big winners here, and kudos to President Trump and House Republicans for giving them long overdue relief. Anything that benefits small businesses by allowing them to succeed and expand is unquestionably good news for American workers.

Tom Tancredo Makes His Comeback as the GOP Comes Back to Him

Via Billy

The former Colorado congressman made his name as an immigration hawk before restrictionism was fashionable on the right. He’s chosen what might be the perfect moment to return. Tom Tancredo is back. As Colorado’s gubernatorial primary fills with an ever-larger set of ambitious Republican chancers, the logic of a Tancredo comeback based on name recognition becomes obvious. Especially when the GOP seems to have moved in his direction since he left.

It's an outlier, but a late poll hints at a GOP sweep in Virginia

https://edforvirginia.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/7339-094-1200x630.jpg

"The Polling Company" is Kellyanne Conway's polling firm. And so when its latest poll shows an advantage for Republicans — and other polls don't — you should be skeptical.

That should be your first reaction when you hear that their latest release ahead of next week's election in Virginia shows that a Republican sweep is on the cards for governor (Ed Gillespie up by two points), lieutenant governor (Jill Vogel by three points) and attorney general (John Adams by one point).

But this poll is not a total outlier. Two other firms (Monmouth and Hampton) show Gillespie in the lead, and a third (Rasmussen) shows a tie. But the more traditionally trusted pollsters, such as Quinnipiac, Fox News, and the Washington Post poll, point to a Democratic win by Ralph Northam.

Then again, you should probably be skeptical of "traditionally reliable" polling by now. A year ago on this day, Quinnipiac had Hillary Clinton easily winning Ohio and Pennsylvania (five points each), narrowly winning Florida (one point) and North Carolina (three points). She lost every one of those states — including Ohio by eight. And right now, Quinnipiac's most recent poll is the really big outlier in Virginia, showing a 17-point Northam victory.

Donna Brazile fires back at Hillary Clinton staffers: 'I'm not Patsy the slave'

Via Billy

In a new book, Donna Brazile, former interim chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee, reveals there was not just informal collusion, but a formal cash-for-power agreement that made the DNC a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. (AP Photo/Mark J. Terrill)

Former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Donna Brazile said she’s frustrated by the reaction of Hillary Clinton’s campaign staffers who have criticized her opinions on what the Clinton campaign got wrong in the 2016 election.

Brazile said on ABC’s “This Week” the Clinton campaign hamstrung the party during the election by basically taking over the Democratic National Convention. She said the 100-plus staffers who criticized her remarks in her new book don’t get how they hurt the party.

“Here's what they don't know. What it was like to be over at the DNC during the hacking. What it's like to bury a child. I did, Seth Rich. They don't know what it's like to protect a staff from further harassment,” she said.

A Hard Fate

City Hall, April 28, 1862.

To Flag-Officer D. G. Farragut, U. S. Flag-Ship Hartford:

Your communication of this morning is the first intimation I ever had that it was by your strict orders that the United States flag was attempted to be hoisted upon certain of our public edifices by officers sent or there to communicate with the authorities. The officers who approached me in your name disclosed no such orders and intimated no such design on your part, not would I have for a moment entertained the remotest suspicion that they could have been invested with power to enter such an errand while the negotiations for a surrender between you and the city authorities were pending. The interference of any force under your command, as long as those negotiations were not brought to a close, could not be viewed by us otherwise than as a flagrant violation of those courtesies, if not of the absolute rights, which prevail between belligerents under such circumstances. My views and sentiments with reference to such conduct remain unchanged. You now review the demands made in your former communication, and you insist on their being complied with unconditionally, under a threat of bombardment within forty-eight hours; and you notify me to remove the women and children from the city that they may be protected from your shells.

Sir, you can but know that there is no possible exit from this city for a population which still exceeds in number one hundred and forty thousand, and you must therefore be aware of the utter inanity of such a notification. Our women and children cannot escape from your shells, if it be your pleasure to murder them on a question of etiquette. But if they could, there are few among them who would consent to desert their families and their homes, and the graves of their relatives in so awful a moment. They would bravely stand the sight of your shells tearing up the graves of those who are so dear to them, and would deem that they died not ingloriously by the side of the tombs erected by their piety to the memory of departed relatives.

You are not satisfied with the peaceful possession of an undefended city, opposing no resistance to your guns, because of its bearing its hard fate with something of manliness and dignity, and you wish to humble and disgrace us by the performance of an act against which our nature rebels. This satisfaction you cannot expect to obtain at our hands.

We will stand your bombardment, unarmed and undefended as we are. The civilized world will consign to indelible infamy the heart that will conceive the dead and the hand that will dare to consummate it.

Respectfully,
John T. Monroe,
Mayor of New Orleans.
