Secession? Nullification? A second Civil War in the presently not-so United States of America?
According to a historic and highly fascinating Abbeville Institute event that took place November 9 and 10, 2018 in Dallas, Texas, a number of influential American thinkers, political figures and activists gathered to discuss how peaceful secession and nullification could very well be one of the most important ways that Americans in the near future could potentially thrive. And despite the efforts of some, like Think Progress (who had a supposed reporter by the name of Casey Michel visiting the event to lend their own predictable spin of distortions and omissions regarding the discussion), modern-day peaceful secession efforts could very well truly represent one of the ways to preserve our unique cultures and defuse the hostility and violence amongst different people groups.

that goal of peaceful secession is just as doable as enforcing immigration law is. first you have to build the wall, either a physical wall or a wall of people willing to enforce existing laws. peaceful secession can happen only if the People Trust the Election Process.secret physical ballots with a voter ID number that only the voter can track. not e-mail ballots. not electronic ballots. no hanging chads. want to vote? get an ID. with a picture on it. it's free. mail in ballots need to be registered mail with ID required for delivery. because voting is something special. and something trackable only the voter can identify as the ballot the voter turned in. and the voter themselves must be identified as a lawful citizen voter. nothing less will work.
ReplyDeleteExcellent points! Now run for office. :)
DeleteThe commies on the left intend to rule....ALL OF US. Some will promise to rule benevolently but make no mistake about it.....THEY INTEND TO RULE. Allowing their intended slaves to secede thwarts that goal so secession will be opposed....by force if necessary, just as it was in 1860. It's about power...plain and simple, the most addictive thing EVER.
