Trump lawyer sends cease-and-desist letter to Bannon

Trump lawyer sends cease-and-desist letter to Bannon: report

President Trump’s lawyers sent a cease-and-desist letter to former White House chief strategist Stephe Bannon Wednesday ordering him to refrain from making “disparaging statement” about Trump and his family, according to a new report.

ABC News reports the letter, from Trump attorney Charles Harder, accuses Bannon of breaching a non-disclosure agreement signed as part of working on Trump’s campaign.

“You have breached the Agreement by, among other things, communicating with author Michael Wolff about Mr. Trump, his family members, and the Company [the Trump campaign], disclosing Confidential Information to Mr. Wolff, and making disparaging statements and in some cases outright defamatory statements to Mr. Wolff about Mr. Trump, his family members,”

Keith Ellison Poses With Antifa Handbook

Democratic National Committee Deputy Chair Keith Ellison endorsed Antifa on Wednesday, tweeting a picture of himself smiling with an Antifa handbook.

Ellison posted a picture with “Antifa: The Anti-Fascist Handbook” and asserted that the book would “strike fear in the heart” of President Donald Trump.

Does Hot Water Freeze Faster Than Cold Water?

Yup and I found that out for the first time today.  I remember a quote from General Lee which stated."You will learn something new everyday until you die."  I haven't been able to trace that though.

Good deal.

The Trump administration is considering rules for the H-1B visa program for high-tech workers that would prevent the visas from being extended.

The change is apparently intended to force the recipients, which number in the hundreds of thousands, to return to their country of origin before they could complete green card applications to stay in the U.S.

The proposed change was reported by the McClatchy newspaper chain, citing two anonymous sources briefed on the plan, which is being prepared by officials at the Department of Homeland Security. "The idea is to create a sort of 'self-deportation' of hundreds of thousands of Indian tech workers in the United States to open up those jobs for Americans," one source told McClatchy.

Socialized medicine update: Britain cancels 50,000 surgeries as NHS hospitals face winter crisis

American liberals such as Sen. Bernie Sanders like to tout socialized healthcare systems such as Britain's for spending less and covering everybody, but here's a reality check you shouldn't expect to hear in any of his fiery speeches: the British government-run National Health Service has abruptly canceled 50,000 nonemergency surgeries due to overcrowding at hospitals this winter.

Sanders, I-Vt., has lamented that the United States "ends up spending almost three times per capita what they do in the UK," which is "guaranteeing healthcare to all people." Yet here is what life is like for those living in the supposedly more humane system, as reported by the Telegraph:

FBI director, Justice Department deputy huddle with Paul Ryan amid contempt of Congress threat

The FBI director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein met with House Speaker Paul Ryan late Wednesday afternoon, the same day lawmakers were demanding that they turn over documents to the House Intelligence panel about the Trump-Russia collusion probe.

A Ryan spokeswoman declined to discuss the purpose for the meeting other than that it came at the request of Wray and Rosenstein.

The meeting comes as the House Intelligence Committee weighs possible contempt of Congress charges against the two officials. Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., has accused the men of withholding information about the handling of the Trump-Russia collusion probe.

The panel gave the two a Jan. 3 deadline to comply with their request for additional documents.

Labor Department Plans Drug Test Regulation for Unemployment Benefits

The Donald Trump administration hopes to unveil a new Labor Department regulation in June requiring drug testing for unemployment benefits.

Republicans used the Congressional Review Act (CRA) to repeal an Obama-era regulation that limited states’ ability to limit drug testing for people who apply for unemployment benefits.

After President Trump signed the CRA repealing the Obama-era regulation, House Ways and Means chairman Kevin Brady (R-TX) said:
President Trump just signed into law my bill that abolishes an Obama-era rule. After five years of battling with the Obama Department of Labor, states like Texas will now be allowed to drug test folks on unemployment to ensure they are job-ready from day one. This is a win for families, workers, job creators, and local economies.
Chairman Brady proposed the bill with Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), who sponsored the Senate version of the CRA.

Insane Liberals 0n Photo Ivanka Trump Shared

Via Bill

On the morning after Christmas, first daughter Ivanka Trump shared family photos on Twitter of her husband Jared Kushner and son on a fishing boat, but liberals were more interested in the background than the actual family bonding.

To the naked eye, one could see a father and son sharing a special moment together, but if you look far into the background of the photo you can see a boat with a Confederate flag.

And so, the flood gates were opened and leftist idiots had their fun attacking Ivanka for being “racist.”

The Swedish chaos - SD's new election video

It is a dark and gloomy picture of Sweden the Swedish Democrats' party leader Jimmie Åkesson paints in the party's first election film ahead of the parliamentary elections in 2018. And the criticism is harsh against those who Åkesson claims to be responsible for the current situation. The Social Democrats, the Moderates and the fake news mainstream media are specifically pointed out.

The Swedish Democrats has been excluded by the rest of the parties in the Swedish Parliament due to its restrictive stance on the disastrous immigration policies, and has on several occasions been called "Nazis" and "racists," by both the fake news mainstream media and by the PM, Stefan Löfven himself.

"Our country is ill. The social democrats and liberals are doing everything they can to cover up the problems that their own policies have created in our society. Their reckless decisions, their unwillingness to evaluate the results of their policies and foremost, their lies, has created the society that we now are forced to live in. Right now preparations are being made for our largest electoral campaign ever. The elections are less than a year away!," reads the description.

What No One Is Telling You About Iran

It’s true that CNN and the New York Times, among other liberal outlets, have rightly been called out for their failure to report accurately on the protests in Iran. But there’s something that not even the conservative media is telling you today, an important backstory that might be playing a role in this rising protest movement.

As for the leftwing media, Caroline Glick noted in her article in the Jerusalem Post that, “Given the earth shattering potential of the protests it is extraordinary to see the liberal media in the US and Europe struggle to downplay their significance.” And here in the US, “the US, former members of the Obama administration and the liberal media have determinedly downplayed the importance of the protests.”

Manafort sues Mueller, Justice Department

Manafort sues Mueller, Justice Department

President Trump's former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort, has filed a lawsuit challenging the authority of special counsel Robert Mueller.

In a court filing, lawyers for Manafort argue that the order establishing Mueller's investigation is overly broad and not permitted under Justice Department regulations.

“The investigation of Mr. Manafort is completely unmoored from the Special Counsel’s original jurisdiction to investigate ‘any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump,’ ” the complaint reads.

“It has instead focused on unrelated, decade-old business dealings—specifically, Ukraine political campaign consulting activities of Mr. Manafort.”

House expands Russia probe to FBI, Justice use of unconfirmed dossier to snare Trump

The House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence has expanded its 2016 election investigation from a starting point of Russian interference to an end-game that focuses on federal law enforcement and how it conducted a drive to snare President Trump and his people.

Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, California Republican, is accusing the Justice Department and the FBI of misleading him in “a pattern of behavior that can no longer be tolerated.” He charges that Justice claimed it possesses no documents related to the infamous Trump dossier, then, under pressure, produced “numerous” such papers.

Witness: Russian Probe Grand Jury Like Something Out of a ‘Black Lives Matter Rally’

A witness with knowledge of the Russian probe says participants in the grand jury look like a “Bernie Sanders rally” or something taken from a “Black Lives Matter rally in Berkeley.

According to Page Six, the witness noted that there are 20 jurors, 11 of which are black and two of which wore “peace T-shirts.” The witness said, “there was only one white male in the room, and he was a prosecutor.”

The grand jury meets every Friday, and the witness said, “That room isn’t a room where POTUS gets a fair shake.”

Robert Mueller’s grand jury charged former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort in October “with money laundering and failing to register as foreign agents.” Manafort’s partner Rick Gates was charged as well. Future charges against Manafort are anticipated.

In mid-December, the Chicago Tribune reported the White House legal team intended to meet with Mueller’s office for assurances that any focus on President Donald Trump in the seemingly unlimited investigation has run its course and will soon end. Trump has continued to cooperate with Mueller while simultaneously “[accusing] the Justice Department and FBI of bias and overreach.”

Sol Wachtler, Chief Judge of the New York Court of Appeals, derided grand juries, warning that they “would “indict a ham sandwich” with the right persuasion.

Drudge calls Steve Bannon 'schizophrenic' & Trump: Steve 'not only lost his job, he lost his mind'

Matt Drudge, the editor and founder of the Drudge Report, zinged Steve Bannon after a new report detailed the former White House strategist’s comments calling a meeting between Donald Trump Jr. and a group of Russians as “treasonous.”

“No wonder schizophrenic Steve Bannon has been walking around with a small army of bodyguards,” Drudge tweeted Wednesday.

President Trump slammed his former chief strategist just hours after excerpts of a forthcoming book about the presidency revealed Steve Bannon had made disparaging comments about Trump's family and personal habits.

"Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind," Trump said in a statement on Wednesday. "Steve was a staffer who worked for me after I had already won the nomination by defeating seventeen candidates, often described as the most talented field ever assembled in the Republican party."

Israel offers to pay African migrants to leave, threatens jail

Some 38,000 African migrants live in Israel. New Israeli plan offers them $3,500 to leave.

Israel said on Wednesday it would pay thousands of African migrants living illegally in the country to leave, threatening them with jail if they are caught after the end of March.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in public remarks at a cabinet meeting on the payment programme, said a barrier Israel completed in 2013 along its border with Egypt had effectively cut off a stream of "illegal infiltrators" from Africa after some 60,000 crossed the desert frontier.

From Truman to Trump: Presidential job approval ratings in the post WW-II era.

Via John

No this isn't an EKG; it shows the ups and downs of presidential approval fortunes and vicissitudes over the past 70-odd years.

Some points worth noting:

1) We're always hearing about Trump's "record low" ratings. As you can see above, there is clearly NOT true, just more "fake news" from Fake News.

2) The two most popular presidents, at least at their high points, were Father/Son Bush. Dad hit 87% and son hit an astronomical 89% approval.

3) Barack Obama was generally, much as Trump is now, an unpopular president but throughout his 8 years in office.

4) The all-time low points of these post-war presidents were:

    Truman: 22%
    Nixon: 24%
    G.W. Bush: 25%

5) Trump is the only president to have been sworn in with a less than 50 rating according to Gallup, Trump's approval was only 45% on the day of his inauguration. His approval rating has been relatively flat compared to other presidents; at least, thus far, He hasn't slipped much despite the undeniably negative effects of incessant media and institutional hostility

NOTE: Rasmussen has Trump's approval rating at 45%, not the 39% reported today
by Gallup. Gallup polls "all adults" and Rasmussen polls "likely voters."

99.8% Conviction Rate In U.S. Federal Courts & FBI faked forensic science which sentenced some to death

The presumption of innocence is often touted in the United States as the fundamental principle shielding an accused person from being unjustly convicted of a crime. The basis of that claim is that to overcome the presumption of innocence the government is required to present substantial evidence that proves beyond a reasonable doubt the defendant’s guilt of every essential element of his or her accused crime(s).

There is, however, a sharp disconnect between the reality of how the legal system actually works, and the theory that the presumption of innocence provides a protective shield to a defendant.

The FBI engaged in a massive science-based conspiracy to alter and distort forensic evidence for over two decades, the agency has now publicly admitted. "The Justice Department and FBI have formally acknowledged that nearly every examiner in an elite FBI forensic unit gave flawed testimony in almost all trials in which they offered evidence against criminal defendants over more than a two-decade period before 2000," reports the Washington Post in a rare moment of truth-telling.

By nearly a 2-to-1 margin, likely voters voters agree with Trump -- END Chain Migration, REDUCE overall immigration

Every time Pres. Trump tweets that any DACA deal has to include the elimination of Chain Migration and the Visa Lottery, he's speaking the mind of most Americans who say they are likely to vote in this fall's midterm elections, according to a new poll.

By nearly a 2-to-1 margin, likely voters said any legalization of young-adult illegal immigrants should include an end to Chain Migration of extended family members beyond spouse and minor children.

Here was the question posed by Pulse Opinion Research (results had a margin of sampling error of 3 percentage points):
