Newt Gingrich: Why the Mueller probe is really five scandals, not one
The current Robert Mueller-Justice
Department-Russia mess is almost impossible to understand because it is
made up of five parallel scandals.
For months, as I wrote my new book, “Trump’s America,”
I tried to better understand news as it emerged from the Justice
Department – and I still am trying. There are so many moving parts,
personalities and dates that it is difficult to track. However, as a
trained historian, I began creating an orderly outline for people, dates
and events.
Finally, it hit me that the real problem is that there are five parallel and often interlocked scandals going on in concert:

The Confederate Origins of Memorial Day
Many Americans will pause today to honor the men and women who have given their lives in the United States armed forces. What most probably don’t know is that this holiday originated in the South after the War for Southern Independence. It was originally called “Decoration Day.”
Don’t tell the social justice warriors.
The monuments that these modern day Leninists believe represent “white supremacy” were a byproduct of a movement that began one year after the conclusion of hostilities to remember the over two hundred thousand men who died defending the Southern fight for independence.

Dan Gainor: Journalism continues to shrink, right before our eyes
"They still don’t grasp that he’s (Trump) trolling them."
Journalism got a lot smaller last week. The media
lost two of their biggest names – author and journalist Tom Wolfe and
Interview Magazine.
Wolfe, who wrote “The Right Stuff,” spent decades making people appear larger than life. Interview, founded by pop culture icon Andy Warhol, used its larger-than-normal format to make its subjects grow in stature.
That is part of their larger anti-Trump crusade, but it’s also tied to how negatively the press is viewed generally.

Donald Trump Jr: Tommy Robinson’s Imprisonment is Reason #1776 for the Original Brexi
Via Billy
Donald Trump Jr. tweeted about the imprisonment of activist and independent journalist Tommy Robinson on Sunday, referring to it as “reason #1776 for the original Brexit.”
The son of the president warned not to let America follow in the UK’s footsteps.
Robinson, 35, was arrested on Friday for suspicion of breaching the peace while livestreaming to report on the trial of a child grooming gang and is now serving 13 months in prison due to a previous suspended sentence in a similar offense.
Trump Jr. was quoting a tweet from Kurt Schlichter in which he warned that there are people who want the UK’s Orwellian political persecution to be happening in the United States.
Man arrested and imprisoned in England for reporting on a court case. Reporting on his case is also illegal. The US media doesn't care. Why? Because they support it, because they disapprove of his politics. They want the same thing here.

Learning from America’s Forgotten Default

One of the most pervasive myths about the United States is that the federal government has never defaulted on its debts. Every time the debt ceiling is debated in Congress, politicians and journalists dust off a common trope: the US doesn’t stiff its creditors
There’s just one problem: it’s not true. There was a time, decades ago, when the US behaved more like a “banana republic” than an advanced economy, restructuring debts unilaterally and retroactively. And, while few people remember this critical period in economic history, it holds valuable lessons for leaders today.

The Guns that Won Florida’s Only Major Civil War Battle
Via Billy
In February 1864, more than 10,000 Union and Confederate troops fought for over five hours in Florida’s Battle of Olustee. At the end, 2,807 troops lay dead.
The Battle of “Olustee,” meaning “Ocean Pond,” happened in Baker County. Olustee comes from the nearby creek derived from the Muscogee (Creek) language meaning “Blackwater.” The fight was a victory for Confederate forces and would end up being the only major battle to take place in Florida during the Civil War. The Union defeat would help keep Florida in the hands of the Confederacy until the end of the war.

The FBI Used Its Secret Spy Program To Protect Killers, Jail Innocents, And Screw Victims
Via David
Following reports that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) used at least one spy to secretly surveil members of the Trump campaign, fired former FBI director James Comey lashed out at critics of his agency’s activities during the 2016 election.
“Facts matter. The FBI’s use of Confidential Human Sources (the actual term) is tightly regulated and essential to protecting the country,” Comey tweeted on May 23. “Attacks on the FBI and lying about its work will do lasting damage to our country.”
While Comey’s record on truth-telling is decidedly mixed, he is correct that facts matter and that the FBI’s use of informants is governed by strict guidelines. How and why many of those guidelines came to be are important facts that the American public deserves to know as it considers revelations that the FBI used wiretaps and spies to surveil Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, his transition, and perhaps even his presidential administration.

Giuliani suggests Obama, top intelligence officials knew of 'spygate'
President Trump's lawyer Rudy Giuliani suggested on Sunday that former President Obama and his top intelligence officials "knew" the FBI had used a top-secret informant to allegedly spy on Trump's 2016 campaign. In an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis, Giuliani insisted that former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper were aware of the informant.
Giuliani: Basis for Mueller probe was not legitimate
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani on Sunday said the basis for special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is not legitimate.
"I'm not saying Mueller is illegitimate, I'm saying the basis on which he was appointed was illegitimate," he said on CNN's "State of the Union."
Deep State Confession: 2017 UK Article Indicates Obama’s Spygate Started in 2015 – Much Earlier than Currently Reported

1) British spies played a crucial role in the Trump – Russia conspiracy
2) Trump – Russia scandal began in at least 2015
3) The UK was involved
4) The UK and US worked together for the next six months
Via The Guardian:
Another Internet sleuth (REX) put together some more pieces to Spygate over the weekend. The sleuth’s analysis shows that Obama’s Spygate scandal started much earlier than expected and Deep State leaks support this claim.
On April 13, 2017, the far left Guardian posted an article about Trump and Russia collusion that began by making a couple now key assertions,
1) British spies played a crucial role in the Trump – Russia conspiracy
2) Trump – Russia scandal began in at least 2015
3) The UK was involved
4) The UK and US worked together for the next six months

“I’m terrified”: Katie Hopkins visits America's largest mosque, in Dearborn, Michigan
Via David
I take you inside America's largest mosque, the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn, Michigan.
Wait until you hear what my tour guide told me about women in Islam.
This is the kind of sentiment that reminds me exactly how fortunate I am to live in the West, to live in an open society that treats women as equals. All women in Islam are sexual objects — one-dimensional non-persons who are forced to drape themselves in cloth to prevent men from thinking proscribed thoughts.
