NC: The Americanization of James Iredell

James Iredell was born at Lewes, Sussex County, England. He was the eldest of the five sons of Francis Iredell, a Bristol merchant, and Margaret McCulloh Iredell, originally of Dublin. Young James came to the New World in 1768 because, after his father suffered a stroke in the mid-1760’s, it was necessary for the boy to leave school and accept an appointment arranged for him by his Irish cousins who owned a considerable property in North Carolina. James’ salary of £30 as Comptroller of the Customs in Port Roanoke (Edenton) went directly to his parents. The boy himself lived off port fees (about £100 per annum). After presenting his credentials to the Board of Customs
Commissioners in Boston, this ambitious stripling journeyed southward swiftly. There, if he had no fortune, he soon began to make one, moving in a circle of gifted friends to whom he was soon firmly attached. This circle stood behind him for the remainder of his life and defined his place in Southern society, the political life of his state and (finally) American politics at large.

Rand Paul: The Only Person We Know Colluded With The Russians Is Hillary Clinton & Waterboards Brennan For Calling Trump Treasonous

“The president sees the Mueller investigation. He sees all these accusations from partisan Democrats, Hillary Clinton, saying ‘Oh, he colluded with the Russians,” Rand said. “The only people who we actually know colluded with the Russians were Hillary Clinton who paid a British agent who paid Russians for information for the dossier.”

“[Trump] feels like the intelligence community cooked up a political and partisan investigation,” Rand continued, “but also, part of the Mueller investigation is something that should have investigated, and that is: Who hacked into Hillary Clinton’s emails?”

“John Brennan started out his adulthood by voting for the communist party presidential candidate and showing himself to be the most bias, bigoted, hyperbolic unhinged director of the C.I.A. that we’ve ever had,” Paul stated.

“He called the president treasonous because he doesn’t like him,” Paul continued. “Brennan and [James Clapper] are known for wanting to expand the authority of the intelligence agencies to grab up everyone’s information including Americans and so I don’t have a lot of respect for these people before they decided to go on hating the president.”

First Win for Trump-Putin Summit: Agreement to Restrain Iran in Syria

HELSINKI, FINLAND - JULY 16: U.S. President Donald Trump smiles as he arrives to a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin after their summit on July 16, 2018 in Helsinki, Finland. The two leaders met one-on-one and discussed a range of issues including the 2016 U.S Election collusion. …

President Donald Trump has been criticized by the media and by Beltway politicians of both parties for his meeting with Russian president Vladimir Putin in Helsinki on Monday. But the summit has already produced a very significant win: namely, agreement to avoid a war in the Middle East by restraining Iran in Syria.

As Breitbart News columnist Caroline Glick noted last month, it was crucial that Trump confront Putin over Syria, because Russia  was about to allow Iranian and Hezbollah soldiers, dressed in Syrian uniforms, to move into southwestern Syria along the border with Israel and Jordan.

That was not a situation that the U.S. or Israel could accept.

As Glick explained:

Second Amendment supporters and gun owners are expected to stand together on the Old County Courthouse lawn Saturday morning. The Orange County Second Amendment Rally is being held to advocate for gun rights and create discussion within the community.

Rally organizers Ashley Campbell and Daniel Johnson are Orange County residents who were inspired to create the event due to a Facebook poll of local residents on gun rights.

Johnson says the purpose is to educate and spark more conversation between those who support gun rights and those who support gun reform.

Helsinki Talks - How Trump Tries To Rebalance The Global Triangle

 Image result for democrats imbeciles
These imbeciles do not understand the realism behind Trump's grand policy. Trump knows the heartland theory of Halford John Mackinder.  He understands that Russia is the core of the Eurasian landmass. That landmass, when politically united, can rule the world. A naval power, the U.S. now as the UK before it, can never defeat it. Trump's opponents do not get what Zbigniew Brzezinski, the National Security Advisor of President Carter, said in his book The Grant Chessboard (pdf) about a Chinese-Russian alliance. They do not understand why Henry Kissinger advised Trump to let go of Crimea.
The reactions of the U.S. polite to yesterday's press conference of President Trump and President Putin are highly amusing. The media are losing their mind. Apparently it was Pearl Harbor, Gulf of Tonkin and 9/11 all in one day. War will commence tomorrow. But against whom?
Behind the panic lie competing views of Grand Strategy.

Rereading the transcript of the 45 minutes long press conference (vid) I find it rather boring. Trump did not say anything that he had not said before. There was little mention of what the two presidents had really talked about and what they agreed upon. Later on Putin said that the meeting was more substantive than he expected. As the two spoke alone there will be few if any leaks. To understand what happened we will have to wait and see how the situations in the various conflict areas, in Syria, Ukraine and elsewhere, will now develop.

Amid continued backlash over her description of Israel as an occupier of Palestinian land, another comment from Democratic "rising star" and self-described socialist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez from her much-maligned PBS interview is causing a stir online.

Victims of 'Trump Derangement Syndrome' land in ICU after Putin freakout -- Here's my prescription

It's time for the hyperventilating over the Trump-Putin summit to stop and for cooler heads to prevail.

As soon as President Trump concluded his successful summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Finland on Monday, the Washington swamp and liberal media launched a concerted effort to falsely portray our president’s positive foreign policy achievement in the most negative light possible.

The rabidly anti-Trump reporters covering the summit were single-mindedly obsessed by the collusion myth – determined to prove that the Trump presidential campaign colluded with Russia to help Donald Trump win the 2016 presidential race, despite no real evidence to support this cockamamie theory.

Sadly, the media had little interest in delving into important issues that Presidents Trump and Putin discussed, including nuclear nonproliferation, destroying ISIS, ending the civil war in Syria, preventing Iran from building atomic bombs, and the security of Israel. Reporters could barely acknowledge the positive sight of former Cold War adversaries talking about peace and areas of agreement.

Is President Trump A Traitor Because He Wants Peace With Russia?

The Democrats say he is

Paul Craig Roberts

The US Democratic Party is determined to take the world to thermo-nuclear war rather than to admit that Hillary Clinton lost the presidential election fair and square. The Democratic Party was totally corrupted by the Clinton Regime, and now it is totally insane. Leaders of the Democratic Party, such as Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, my former co-author in the New York Times, have responded in a non-Democratic way to the first step President Trump has taken to reduce the extremely dangerous tensions with Russia that the Clinton, George W. Bush, and Obama regimes created between the two superpowers.

Yes, Russia is a superpower. Russian weapons are so superior to the junk produced by the waste-filled US military/security complex that lives high off the hog on the insouciant American taxpayer that it is questionable if the US is even a second class military power. If the insane neoconservatives, such as Max Boot, William Kristol, and the rest of the neocon scum get their way, the US, the UK, and Europe will be a radioactive ruin for thousands of years.

Trump Calls Off Cold War II

Beginning his joint press conference with Vladimir Putin, President Trump declared that U.S. relations with Russia have “never been worse.”

He then added pointedly, that just changed “about four hours ago.”

It certainly did. With his remarks in Helsinki and at the NATO summit in Brussels, Trump has signaled a historic shift in U.S. foreign policy that may determine the future of this nation and the fate of his presidency.

The battle record of the Vietnamese Airborne Division and the associated US Army Advisors and Air Force Forward Air Controllers is a tale of courage, self-sacrifice, and honor which stands out in the history of warfare. The ARVN Airborne was the most highly decorated of all the South Vietnamese Army units. Thousands of these brave Vietnamese paratroopers were killed, maimed. or became missing during their 25 years of nearly continuous combat service as an airborne force, from 1951 until 1975.

Eight of the nine Vietnamese parachute infantry battalions and all three brigade headquarters were awarded the United States President Unit Citation during their years of ferocious combat white fighting alongside the US 1st Cavalry, 1st. 4th, and 25th Infantry Divisions; and the 101st Airborne Division as well as the 173rd Airborne Brigade. The Vietnamese Paratroopers also fought valiantly in support of the heroic US and Vietnamese Marine counterattack which successfully recaptured the city of Hue during the Tet Offensive of 1968.

Russia has agreed to help improve relations with North Korea, President Trump said in a tweet Wednesday.

Trump made the comments in a series of early morning tweets after his highly criticized meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Finland and his visit with NATO countries.

“…Russia has agreed to help with North Korea, where relationships with us are very good and the process is moving along,” Trump wrote. “There is no rush, the sanctions remain! Big benefits and exciting future for North Korea at end of process!”
