NC: A Battle for Western Civilization and the South

We must stand for—we must dwell within—our Citadel, our inheritance and culture, our very identity and being as a people representing 2,000 years of Western Christian heritage, or we shall disappear into the abyss of history.
On Monday night, August 20, 2018, approximately 200 to 250 raucous demonstrators gathered in a mob on the campus of the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and proceeded to tear down the century-old statue, “Silent Sam,” a monument memorializing the over 250 university students who fought and died during the War Between the States. University police, whose primary goal is to protect university property from vandals and destruction, stood down and did nothing to protect the monument, apparently acting on orders from university administrators.

All across the nation—and not just in the states below the Mason-Dixon Line—there is an insistent effort to take down, remove, and, at times, destroy the monuments that represent our history and heritage. Certainly, it has been the statues honoring Robert E. Lee, P. G. T. de Beauregard, Jefferson Davis, and Confederate veterans that have been highlighted most specifically as targets by this movement and featured in the Mainstream Media. Indeed, very likely a majority of American citizens not that familiar with this advancing campaign probably believe that it is only those Confederate symbols which are the object of this frenzied attack, and that once those monuments are disposed of, further demands for “cultural cleansing” can be blunted and contained, or will just go away.

THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON

by Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood,
It came to them very late,
With long arrears to make good,
When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved,
They were icy -- willing to wait
Till every count should be proved,
Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low.
Their eyes were level and straight.
There was neither sign nor show
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd.
It was not taught by the state.
No man spoke it aloud
When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred.
It will not swiftly abate.
Through the chilled years ahead,
When Time shall count from the date
That the Saxon began to hate.

Alan Dershowitz: Michael Cohen ‘Pleading Guilty to a Crime that Doesn’t Exist’ so Democrats Will Target Trump

Michael Cohen, Donald Trump's personal attorney, is under criminal investigation

Harvard Law School Professor Emeritus Alan Dershowitz said Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s former attorney, is “pleading guilty to a crime that doesn’t exist” to further Democrats’ plans to impeach the president. He offered his analysis during a Wednesday interview with Breitbart Senior Editors-at-Large Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight.

“I don’t think there’s an impeachable offense,” said Dershowitz. “I believe you need to have a specific crime — treason, bribery, or other high crimes and misdemeanors — and none of the things that [Michael] Cohen pleaded guilty to would rise to that level or even come close to it. What Cohen pleaded guilty to may not even be a crime, the part about the election campaign laws.”

Dershowitz continued, “Even if it’s true that President Trump contributed $280,000 for the explicit purpose of paying hush money in order to prevent the public from knowing that he had these alleged affairs with these two women, that would simply not be a crime. It might be a political sin, but it would not be a crime.”

Professor to students: Drop class immediately if you’re ‘triggered’ by opinions that offend you

Via Billy

Please drop the class immediately if you feel entitled to censor the thoughts or words of others or insist they tailor their language or attitudes to your preferences.

A professor of English at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, fed up with the push to protect college students from ideas they don’t like or disagree with, has decided to take matters into his own hands, at least where his classroom is concerned.

Professor Duke Pesta has his students sign a contract at the beginning of class that asks them to “please drop the class immediately” if they are “triggered” by ideas that offend them.

Far Left Watch: Violent Antifa Group Plans “Red Army” To “Annihilate” Conservatives

Via John

Red Guards Austin, a self-proclaimed Marxist-Leninist-Maoist violent antifa group, has called for the formation of a “Red Army.” The group itself is based out of Austin, Texas, but works in tandem with Red Guards Kansas City, Red Guards Pittsburgh, Red Guards Los-Angeles, and Red Guards Charlotte to “annihilate” those they believe are “collaborators” or “fascist.”

Basics of Resistance

 Lies of Omission

Since I stopped writing here, nothing has changed.  The rabid left continues to target conservatives with hatred, especially white, Christian conservatives. The reasons for this is not as stated by the left. They cloak it in some sort of retroactive justice, as if by punishing current white, Christian conservatives, they are righting the wrongs of all the injustices of previous white, Christian conservatives and do not recognize that in the future their behavior will have to be atoned for by their descendants.

There is a lot of talk of CW2, okay, when, where, how? There is already plenty of justification for it. There is the dual justice system of liberals and conservatives, or should I say communists and republicans? (not Republicans who are the same as communists).

Remembering Silent Sam Until He Is Restored - Citizens Leave Flowers As Remembrance

Some folks are wondering what they can do RIGHT NOW about Silent Sam. On top of contacting university officials, law enforcement, and elected officials, here’s something else ANYONE can do.

If you are in the vicinity, pick up a small bouquet of flowers or even a single stem and take it and leave it at the base. Yes, it may disappear soon, but so what? For however long it remains, it will be a reminder that there are those who still remember those 1800+ students and aren’t going to forget their courage and sacrifice, no matter what.

Top GOP Senators Back POTUS – Clear Path For Trump to Fire AG Sessions After 2018 Midterm Elections

Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) both backed President Trump on Thursday and said he deserves an Attorney General he has faith in.

The top key GOP Senators said they will both back President Trump if he fires AG Sessions after the 2018 midterm elections.

Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) said in an interview with Bloomberg Thursday that he will make time for hearings to confirm a new Attorney General. This is a 180 degree turn from Grassley’s previous statements wherein he had made it clear he wouldn’t confirm a new AG if Trump were to fire Sessions.

Senator Graham told reporters on Thursday President Trump deserves an Attorney General he has faith in, reported Bloomberg.

Where Are the Crimes?

 Where Are the Crimes?

It was Christmas in August for liberals on Tuesday when Paul Manafort was convicted on 8 of 18 charges and Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to tax, bank, and campaign finance violations. Suits were soiled with glee at all the left wing activist organizations – the DNC, DSCC, DCCC, CNN, MSNBC, etc. They all collectively thought they’d “nailed Trump” because the two men were associated with the president. One thing no one seems to understand, or more importantly hope their audiences don’t understand, is that none of what transpired Tuesday actually implicates Donald Trump in a crime of any sor.t

Self-Hating Whites

Via SHNV

 Image result for Self-Hating Whites

Last night on the main campus of the University of North Carolina a mob of ignorant fools overflowing with hate and self-righteousness overturned a statue of a Confederate soldier as a protest against “white supremacy.” From the available photos it appears that a large percentage of those protesting “white supremacy” are themselves white. I wonder if any of these whites have ever experienced the supremacy that they are protesting?

White supremacy cannot be found in university or work place speech codes where anything goes with regard to what can be said about white people, but if said about non-whites would result in “sensitivity training,” disciplinary action, denial of tenue, or firing as at Google where a senior male engineer was fired for stating the obvious fact that men and women have different capabilities and excell at different things.

CNN suffered another ratings embarrassment last week, once again losing a significant amount of viewers in comparison to the same week last year.

AdWeek reports that in the week of August 13-19, CNN experienced a 23 percent drop in total viewer average during primetime in comparison to the same week in 2017. During the daytime, there was another drop in ratings of 24 percent since last year.

MSNBC only experienced a drop of 8 percent in primetime and 5 percent in daytime since last year.

Fox News Channel, on the other hand, actually increased their viewership by 4 percent all around.

In case you forgot: Congress paid millions in hush money to protect politicians

Via comment by Gleason Long on Mark Levin: ‘Donald Trump Is in the Clear’ — ‘Lann...

For all those Democrats and the MSM seeking to use Michael Cohen's plea deal to implicate President Trump in the alleged crime confessed to by Cohen, don't forget to use the precedent set by the highly respected institution we call the Congress of the United States of America when you make arguments that Donald Trump was trying to influence an election with a payment to silence his accusers.

The following is a list of articles from major news outlets with short excerpts written about members of Congress paying "secret settlements" for everything from sexual harassment to who knows what else – because we really don't know "what else" they did.  It's a secret.

The secrecy, or can we say cover-up, is meant to protect the identity of the elected officials involved who need to silence their accusers.  You know, just in case the information might become public and affect their positions in Congress or – wait for it – the outcomes of their next elections.

Critical Questions Regarding "Silent Sam" Desecration

Thom Goolsby's Profile Photo, Image may contain: 1 person, eyeglasses

As a member of the UNC System Board of Governors, a former NC Senate Judiciary Chair and a graduate of UNC Law School, I am appalled by the recent toppling and desecration of the Soldiers’ Memorial Monument at UNC-Chapel Hill. All North Carolinians deserve a full disclosure of all the facts relating to these criminal acts. I believe the following questions should immediately be addressed:

1. Did the campus police stand down and allow the destruction of this property and if so, why and on whose authority?

2. If the police presence was inadequate to control the crowd, why was sufficient action not taken to have adequate law-enforcement personnel available?

3. Is a full investigation underway to identify all the participants via videos and photographs at the scene of these illegal activities?

4. Will criminal charges be filed against the perpetrators and will they be banned from all UNC campus properties for the foreseeable future?

5. Will criminal and civil restitution be sought from the perpetrators who willfully participated in the destruction of the monument.

6. What steps are being taken to repair, reinstall and protect the monument in the future?

The citizens of North Carolina deserve answers to these critical questions. I support the preservation of historical monuments. However, people who disagree with the current state of the law should be reminded that Dr. King and Mahatma Gandhi succeeded, where others failed, by their peaceful and civil disobedience. The lawless acts committed at UNC-Chapel Hill cannot go unpunished. The criminals who committed these willful acts deserve to be held accountable for their crimes and the harm they caused. If we do not demand justice, we invite a state of anarchy on all of our university campuses.
