The Hard Left Builds Nothing, Tears Down Everything Worthwhile

Silent Sam plaque inscription, right side (cropped).jpg

After watching the Leftists gorge themselves politically on a three-year binge to tear  down and destroy anything Southern and Confederate, the thought came to me, just today, that, the Leftists never really build or construct anything worthwhile. The Leftists spend their useless careers tearing down everything worthwhile that better people than they will ever  be have  built up. But, then, the Leftists are really nothing more than water carriers  for those that run the Deep State. I doubt that they are capable of building anything noble or worthwhile. They are little more than tools for destruction in the hands of those seeking  to destroy cultures or worldviews superior to their own.

And so it was, with a certain amount of anger, if not with surprise, I read the story about those “noble” Leftists in North Carolina that considered it their “patriotic” duty to tear down and destroy the Silent Sam monument  on the campus of the University of North Carolina while, so we are told, the police stood down and did nothing.

Sessions’ Latest Statement Rings Hollow

And the GOP is hardly fooled

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions is now saying that during his time as attorney general the Justice Department has not and will not be improperly influenced by political considerations. However, it’s hard to see how he could say this with a straight face given the plain reality that it appears emails related to the Hilary Clinton scandal still haven’t even been examined by the DOJ while in contrast a special prosecutor has been appointed to target Trump.

Some recent events:

President Trump (R-USA) appeared on Fox and Friends yesterday morning and criticized Sessions, saying that he “never took control” of the Justice Department:

Board of Governors Announces Silent Sam Is Going Back Up

Via Reborn

Thom Goolsby of the University of North Carolina Board of Governors announced in a message to the taxpayers that the Silent Sam statue honoring Confederate soldiers will be returned to its place on campus grounds.

Silent Sam was pulled down in a riot Monday night led by Antifa members and UNC professor Dwayne Dixon. While the media celebrates the destruction of property, many patriots and alumni and members of the Chapel Hill community have expressed outrage, and numerous complaints are being filed with police about assaults that occurred at the riot.

Goolsby announced that the Board will make sure “the perpetrators are punished, judgment is sought for their felonious criminal acts.”

On the night of 20 August, radical leftist students, including elements of Antifa and Black Lives Matter, tore down the statue of Silent Sam on the UNC-Chapel Hill campus. The statue was erected in honor of the Confederate soldiers from UNC a century ago by the United Daughters of the Confederacy as a memorial to their brave service and sacrifice for their country. Video shows law enforcement standing around watching as these terrorists demolished public property with impunity.

We expect there will be no prosecutions, as the young leftists will be viewed by the university administration with a high degree of sympathy. We condemn in the harshest manner possible those who tore down Silent Sam, those who abetted them, and those officials who stood by on the scene and did nothing to prevent it. You are all thugs and cowards.

Mueller's one-sided probe cannot be justified

U.S. Attorney Robert Khuzami took a few moments in his Tuesday statement about Michael Cohen’s plea deal to sing neutrality’s praise: “His day of reckoning serves as a reminder that we are a nation of laws, with one set of rules that applies equally to everyone.”

Noble words, and they used to mean something. But a disparity of justice is at the heart of our current crisis of faith in institutions. Americans aren’t outraged that the Federal Bureau of Investigation felt obliged to investigate allegations leveled at campaigns, or that a special counsel is looking at Russian electoral interference. They are instead furious that Lady Justice seems to have it in for only one side.

Cohen's plea deal is prosecutor's attempt to set up Trump

Here we go, from Russia with love, to campaign finance with love.

Why was Michael Cohen investigated? Because the “Steele dossier” had him making secret trips to meet with Russians that never happened, so his business dealings got a thorough scrubbing and, in the process, he fell into the Paul Manafort bin reserved by the special counsel for squeezing until the juice comes out. We are back to 1998 all over again, with presidents and candidates covering up their alleged marital misdeeds and prosecutors trying to turn legal acts into illegal ones by inventing new crimes.

A key player in the Russian collusion fake dossier has been found! Attorney Adam Waldman who represented both Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska and the creator of the fake Trump-Russia dossier, Christopher Steele, has been located on the East Coast.  Get him!

Steele, Deripaska and Waldman have all been tied to the fake dossier.

Despite Comey Assurances, Vast Bulk of Weiner Laptop Emails Were Never Examined

 Tom Fitton: "sham" investigation.
Trump at rally Nov. 7, 2016, in Manchester, N.H. : “You can’t review 650,000 emails in eight days.”

When then-FBI Director James Comey announced he was closing the Hillary Clinton email investigation for a second time just days before the 2016 election, he certified to Congress that his agency had “reviewed all of the communications” discovered on a personal laptop used by Clinton’s closest aide, Huma Abedin, and her husband, Anthony Weiner.

James Comey, above. Top photo: His certification to Congress just before Election Day clearing Hillary Clinton a second time. That certification is challenged by new reporting.

At the time, many wondered how investigators managed over the course of one week to read the “hundreds of thousands” of emails residing on the machine, which had been a focus of a sex-crimes investigation of Weiner, a former Congressman.

In the wake of Silent Sam

I studied history at a college with a Confederate soldier monument during the biggest progressive social upheaval since the 1960’s. I know just about every single way that old boy can be interpreted.

What those idealistic college kids and older antagonizers recently did in Chapel Hill will not fix racism, redeem the school of historical wrongs, or even do much to erase history. It was immature and will ultimately be a failure.

The history Silent Sam represents is flawed, but it belongs to all of us and is important. Knocking him down did not make you a better person or end the problems you perceive.

Why? Hundreds will rise in his place, and they’ll be flesh and blood, and loud. Not silent.

Louisiana Halts $600 Million Deal with Banks over Corporate Gun Control

The Louisiana State Bond Commission will not be working with Citigroup and Bank of America Merrill Lynch on a deal worth $600 million due to the companies’ position on gun sales. With a 7 to 6 vote the commission decided to walk away from the financial institutions on a planned highway project.

Both Citigroup and Bank of America recently announced new policies limiting their business with gun sellers and manufacturers. State Treasurer John Schroder took a stand against future deals with the companies, arguing that they were infringing on Louisianans’ constitutional right to buy and sell firearms.
