A recent leaked audio of a New York Times employee town hall includes Editor-in-Chief Dean Baquet telling his staff of propagandists to ditch the Russian collusion nonsense and start focusing on President Trump’s “racism.”

The audio was leaked to Slate Magazine, which published a transcript Thursday.

During the town hall Baquet is heard congratulating his staff for winning two Pulitzer Prizes on the fake Russia collusion story. The Times obviously has no remorse for pushing the biggest media hoax on the country for the last three years.

We Are Fading Fast: Final Annual Meeting/Reunion of The Saigon Mission Association: The Last To Leave

Greetings to All.

You may remember that this is supposed to be Final Annual Meeting/Reunion. However a few of the faithful attendees want to continue. Hopefully the attendance in 2020 will be a large one. There will be a discussion on the possibility of continuing and a vote to see what the larger group want to do. Again I hope there will be a large turn out as I would not feel right if there where only a small group to make the determination to discontinue or continuing.

Please see the attached flyer for the information on 2020 Annual Meeting/Reunion. Please pay attention to all the required dates so all will go smoothly.

Thanks,

Lee

First California Town Declares Itself a Second Amendment Sanctuary

First California Town Declares Itself a Second Amendment Sanctuary

As the California state government slowly strips away the rights of law-abiding gun owners, the city council in the tiny desert town of Needles voted unanimously to declare itself a “Second Amendment Sanctuary” city.

“They want to pick and choose what they follow,” Tim Teral, city councilman and a sponsor of the initiative, told Fox News. “It’s ‘We’re going to shield this person, but we’re going to go after that person.’ And in our opinion, they have violated the Second Amendment of the Constitution in many ways.”

Contextualizing Southern Heritage

A semantic technique that has worked well for political types is renaming things to make them more acceptable to the public. This has occurred countless times in our society. Here are two examples from the past.

Beginning with our first President, we had a cabinet post called Secretary of War. But in the late 1940s, this designation was changed to Secretary of Defense, the implication being that the United States is not a warring nation, but it should defend itself. The name was made more amenable but the duties of the office didn’t change.

Trump's winning weapon: Time

In the presidential campaign, in his trade and diplomatic negotiations, and in domestic policy fights, President Trump’s personal circumstances and the unwitting American media have dealt him a huge advantage: Although he is an impatient person, he is in no hurry.

In the current trade war, China has found a formidable opponent. In conventional political dogma, China can wait America out. Trade disputes put tremendous pressure on American presidents.

Consumers complain about tariffs leading to rising prices. Businesses complain about higher costs and disrupted supply chains. Farmers bemoan lost markets. The stock market declines and there are dire forecasts from economic and financial experts.

Bystanders laugh and cheer as six officers are gunned down

Police officers were taunted laughed at by a crowd of bystanders during a tense standoff in which multiple Philadelphia police officers were shot during a hostage situation.

Now, six police officers have been treated for their wounds, but the intense events of the evening will be something they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.

Alexandria Hoff tweeted about the raucous group that laughed while officers fought to neutralize the threat and free the innocent hostages inside.

The Road to Hell Is Paved with Virtue-Signaling

Via John

Here in the decay phase of Imperial Pretensions, The best lack all conviction, while the worst are full of passionate intensity. It's a line from Yeats' poem The Second Coming, and it speaks to our current stumbling descent toward the abyss, where the worst invest their energies in virtue-signaling and the best retreat from the hopelessness of actually addressing our real-world problems.

The road to Hell is paved with virtue-signaling: rather than actually solve the knotty problems that are dragging us toward the abyss, we substitute self-righteousness for problem-solving. That is virtue-signaling in a nutshell.

Far left Portland and Multnomah County officials sent out the police on conservative dissidents before a rally on Saturday. Several pro-Trump activists have been arrested over the last week, with warrants out for others, as the state officially files criminal charges stemming from the brawl that took place at antifa clubhouse Cider Riot. None of the antifa people involved in the melee face any charges, despite them throwing beer bottles at the Trump crew, pepper -spraying media, assaulting a student filmmaker and vandalizing his camera, and even wacking one guy with a baton as he was retreating.

Concealed Carry Against A Mob: When To Draw

Editor’s Note: The following is a syndicated article by author Schuyler P. Robertson that first appeared in USCCA’s Concealed Carry Magazine Volume 15, Issue 1, January 2018 under the title, “Against A Mob.”

As a firearms instructor, one of the most common questions I hear is, “When can I use my gun and not go to jail?” In light of recent riots and other mass violence, many people want to know when displaying or using a firearm is legal when faced with a mob.

The fact remains that deadly force is only legally justified when it is employed to stop an immediate and otherwise unavoidable threat of death or grave bodily harm to the innocent.
