Bringing Down the Vengeance of Heaven
In 1620 a Dutch trading vessel entered Virginia’s James River with twenty Negroes aboard, and sold them to the settlers as laborers. But it was not in Virginia that a legal basis for slave ownership was first created, as Massachusett’s “Body of Liberties” promulgated in 1641, held that “There shall never be any bond slavery, villeinage, nor captivity among us, unless it be lawful captives taken in just wars, and such strangers as willingly sell themselves, or are sold, unto us.” And from this came New England’s domination of the transatlantic slave trade.

Mountain of spuds discarded by Idaho farmers saved in 'potato rescue'
Via Cousin John
Amid lockdowns and
stay-at-home orders, businesses and industries are suffering from
COVID-19 -- and potato farmers are no exception.
Despite
a growing demand in grocery stores, potato prices have plummeted in the
last few weeks due to social distancing guidelines and a lack of demand
in restaurants and the food industry. Just weeks prior, the industry
was looking at the best prices in recent memory and even projections for
a summer shortage, The Associated Press reported.
The
cost for a 50-pound carton of restaurant-grade potatoes in the Twin
Falls and Burley district hovered between $22 and $23 on March 13 but
had dropped to somewhere between $10 and $12 by April 16.

Gregg Allman: The Wild Times, Lost Years and Rebirth of a Southern-Rock Legend
The Allman Brothers singer survived nearly 50 years of epic shows and unimaginable disaster – but there was one death he could never get over.
When I met Gregg Allman, he seemed like a ghost on guard. It was 1990, in Miami. The Allman Brothers Band
had recently reunited for a second time. In the early Seventies, they
single-handedly invented Southern rock, but their hallmark was live
shows that mixed bedrock aggression and high-flown invention in ways no
other group did. Their first breakup, in 1976, had been ugly; a reunion a
few years later hadn’t taken. But here they were, nearly a decade
later, improbably kicking off a new phase of a career that time and
tragedy had not been able to kill off.
That day in Miami, the band was easygoing and talkative when
we met at producer Tom Dowd’s studio – but not Gregg. He wasn’t
unfriendly; he just seemed dazed, wary. He had rarely been an eager
interview subject since the band first became popular in 1971, and the
death that same year of his older brother, Duane – one of the most
brilliant guitarists in history – had left him stunned and heartsick.
For years Gregg narcotized himself, then entered daily into drunken
stupors.

However serious the
Coronavirus really is, there's no question the damage caused by the
lockdown is 1000x greater than the virus itself.
They're exaggerating the danger for a hidden political motive.
They're saying, "we're going to take away your freedom for your own good."
We'll decide what's in our best interest, thank you very much.
The Illuminati will press forward with their totalitarian agenda unless we resist.
Let's defy their diktats, and see if their "pandemic" is a hoax or not.
The evidence suggests it is actually the common flu.
In Canada 80% of the deaths are people in old age homes. Gimme a break.

Defining Communism
How to tell if you live in a communist nation:
Do you distrust everything you hear on the "news?"
Do you think that most reports from the government are skewed or misrepresented?
Do you spend time trying to decide which social, racial or ideological group will benefit from the latest law?
Do you have to use alternate definitions for certain words to understand what a government official is saying?
Do you risk fines or imprisonment for actions taken on your property that might be a marginal annoyance to a neighbor?
Here at 12 Round we are proud capitalists and there will never be enough freedom to satisfy us.
These attitudes built this nation and when I visit other websites and encounter the sort of soviet attitudes that are prevalent, it is a shocking reminder of what is going on behind the scenes, behind the flags and official city, county and state edifices. Just because a building claims to be represented by the United States flag, that does not suggest (though it tries hard to do just that) that it has retained any semblance to American governance.More @ 12 Round
C-SPAN posting inaccurate transcripts of Trump briefings
Via David
C-SPAN is publishing inaccurate transcripts of President Donald Trump's remarks during the vitally important national coronavirus task force daily briefings.
Yes, really.
So Trump is being falsely attacked for what Trump never said (again). The worst of it, lately, is Trump asking questions to scientists. Those questions have been transformed into statements that Trump never made. But as I endeavored to clear up the fog, I was shocked to discover that C-SPAN's textual transcripts are the source of the confusion. The quotes that Trump-haters are throwing around happen to be accurate reports of the inaccurate C-SPAN transcript.
Not everyone knows that www.C-SPAN.org preserves a repository of video records of newsworthy events. Not only can people watch events live on cable TV through C-SPAN, but if you missed it live, or want to study an event again, videos are available for viewing going back probably to 1995, searchable, of course.

Joe diGenova: Former FBI General Counsel James Baker Has Flipped and There’s a Mole Inside the FBI
Via Billy
Washington attorney Joe diGenova, a former U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, spoke to radio show host Howie Carr on Wednesday. Though the interview took place before Thursday night’s stunning release of FBI documents pertaining to Gen. Michael Flynn, he reported some fascinating new information about the Durham investigation.
DiGenova told Carr there is now a mole inside the FBI “who is leaking to the press about the current conduct of FBI Director Christopher Wray and his general counsel, Dana Boente.
“What’s very clear is according to two stories, one in The Federalist and one in The Daily Caller, diGenova
said, “is someone inside the FBI is now whistleblowing by leaking to
the press about what’s going on and boy, it is just fascinating to watch
the claim that Chris Wray and Dana Boente did everything they could to
prevent the stuff from the Missouri U.S. attorney from being given to
Flynn’s attorney. That is the beginning of a very ugly story.”

Yankee arrogance may be the most dangerous malady on the planet. “Communist engineering” is deadly, to be sure. Before Wuhan, there was Chernobyl, Sverdlovsk, and the Great Leap Forward. But whereas communism has a shelf life, Yankee arrogance never dies. Yankees grow stronger by the decade, more convinced of their superiority with every catastrophe they inflict on the world they’re “saving”.

Dr. Fauci Backed Controversial Wuhan Lab with Millions of U.S. Dollars for Risky Coronavirus Research

Dr. Anthony Fauci is an adviser to President Donald Trump and something of an American folk hero for his steady, calm leadership during the pandemic crisis. At least one poll shows that Americans trust Fauci more than Trump on the coronavirus pandemic—and few scientists are portrayed on TV by Brad Pitt.
But just last year, the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the organization led by Dr. Fauci, funded scientists at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and other institutions for work on gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses.
In 2019, with the backing of NIAID, the National Institutes of Health committed $3.7 million over six years for research that included some gain-of-function work. The program followed another $3.7 million, 5-year project for collecting and studying bat coronaviruses, which ended in 2019, bringing the total to $7.4 million.

Thuan Pham, who fled Vietnam as a child and became Uber's CTO in 2013, is leaving the company
Via Lê Bá Dzũng
His is an American success story. At age 12, Pham escaped Vietnam with his mother and brother in a fishing boat that was reportedly carrying dozens of other refugees. After first spending 10 months at camp in Indonesia that he has described as having no sanitation and offering only a tarp over their heads, his family later arrived in Maryland and Pham, an excellent student, wound up studying at MIT.
Thuan
Pham, hired as Uber’s chief technology officer by former CEO Travis
Kalanick back in 2013, is leaving the company in three weeks, the
ride-share giant revealed today in an SEC filing that came out just as The Information reported that massive layoffs at Uber are being proposed to preserve some of the company's dwindling capital reserves.
The
outlet suggests the discussed cuts could impact upwards of 20 percent
of Uber's 27,000 employees, roughly 800 of whom could theoretically come
from Pham's engineering team, which currently comprises 3,800 people.
Said
an Uber spokesman to The Information's Amir Efrati: "As you would
expect, the company is looking at every possible scenario to ensure we
get to the other side of this crisis in a stronger position than ever."

The media has been on a jihad against the drug since
President Trump first announced its amazing ability to treat coronavirus

Dr. Stephen Smith told “The Ingraham Angle” Monday night that a study published last week indicating the antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine showed no benefit for coronavirus patients in U.S. veterans hospitals was a “sham.”

Dear Friend,P.O. Box 1250, Cave Junction, OR
(541)499-7821
Our primary election campaign for the Oregon State Senate is turning out to be one of the most closely watched in Oregon. Our Senate District 2 is a generally safe Republican position, so the winner of the Republican primary nomination will likely be a Senator.
Yet, I am a very unusual candidate. I am an independent conservative and will bring truth to political issues. Career politicians and the lobbyists in our state capital do not. Many of these people do not want me to be a Senator and are working hard to defeat me.
In this primary, we have an advantage because one-fourth of my Senate district is in the Congressional district which we have won in five primary elections by wide margins. And, we have experience as a candidate and as former Chairman of the Oregon Republican Party.
Consider some of the issues.
The Southern Oregon lumber industry has been all but destroyed to “save the trees.” Yet there is 50% more standing timber than there was in 1950 – and more every year. Fires are worse because our lumber industry, which managed the forests, has been kicked out of the woods and the bureaucrats who replaced them like to let the forests burn “naturally.”
The Oregon legislature is close to passing cap-and-trade, which will raise fuel prices by a new 50 cent tax. The excuse is “human-caused global warming” – a false hypothesis easily disproved by definitive facts. Cap-and-trade is based on lies. I can prove this to the legislature. The voice of a state Senator on this issue will be heard far beyond Oregon and can significantly affect the state and national debate.
Oregon K-12 schools are rated 48 out of 50 – almost last in our nation. Rather than fix obvious problems, the politicians want more money, most of which flows to unionized bureaucrats and special interests instead of the teachers and classrooms. School financial statements prove this. Improvements that I cause in Oregon can spread to other states.
As a Senator, I will bring truth to the legislature, not politics. For the most part, it is not there now. Even conservative legislators debating key issues and are often completely uninformed about the underlying essential truth.
Oregon has no campaign donation limits. This primary election will be close. An increase in the funds we have available right now can make all of the difference.
Please help us if you can!
Donations can be made online at: https://artfororegon.com/donation-form/ or if you'd like to mail a contibution it can be sent to Art Robinson for Oregon Senate, PO Box 1250, Cave Junction, Oregon 97523.
Thank you for your consideration.
