Yes, still is at times, but he was playing then if you noticed his tail, and they play rough, snapping at your legs and shoulders, but without harm. I have felt his teeth though.:) I think in a few more months (already 6.5) he will bond. The only problem now, is when I go to pet him, he shakes and quivers which I imagine is a show of servitude to one you aren't sure of. An amazing breed.
"Shakes and quivers" - strange. Sure he wasn't abused by the breeders? He is beautiful. Glad you have him, finally. I knew his name wasn't Fox Tail; just funnying.
No, fortunately and what I thought at first, so I contacted several of those who show these dogs and they said that was a definite trait of them. Now, the time it has taken to bond is longer than usual, but one person said, "they all do sooner or later!" I was thinking the other day if I went to someone's place and saw that I would immediately think what you did....Brilliant minds.....:) A girl who bought two of his litter mates now has 8! The feed they all use is twice the amount of a good one and some even feed only a meat diet as that it what they eat in the wild. I think I'll film what I mentioned and post.
Yes, I was out of town but he reacts to my helper Susan the same way, and she came every day twice to feed/exercise him. He's a case, I tell you!:)I haven't been to town for a long time but the helper here takes him when she goes to the vet. He dug completely under the wall of the wall in the barn a few days ago maybe smelling something to eat. :)
I remember his digging tactics from a pic you posted previously. When he dug under the barn wall, did he take off running or keep digging. He's got some great hunting instincts. You probably won't have any moles to speak of. Any critters come into your yard, like possums, raccoons ( raccoons are some fearsome critters to physically battle ) So glad you are pleased with him.

Susan was on the other side of the wall getting tools when she heard him whine and thought he missed her, and when she turned to the left, there he was poking his face out from the hole! :)
Leary but brave. He looks great. Thank you for the viewing.

DeleteYou were gone for a while so I would think this delayed
Deletethe bonding. Look forward to the film.
Do you take him with you when you go into town?
