The Art of Warping Elections: Team Obama paved the way.

Via Billy

N o sooner were Democrats’ Trump-Russia collusion charges debunked than they began to claim that Trump will do again in 2020 what Robert Mueller found he did not do in 2016: rig the election.

After 22 months, nearly 500 subpoenas, and somewhere around $35 million in costs, special counsel Robert Mueller’s much praised progressive “all-star” team of lawyers and investigators found no evidence that Donald Trump had colluded with the Russians. Trump did not warp the 2016 election, and so he had not unfairly defeated the supposed sure-winner Hillary Clinton. But again those who have investigated and attacked Trump nonstop probably are seeking to do in 2020 what they falsely accused Trump of doing in 2016.

Two Visions of America

A review of Land of Hope: An Invitation to the Great American Story (Encounter Books, 2019) by Wilfred M. McClay.

Two Visions of America

What is America? If America is a place, then it will have a history like other places. People will do things, those things will have consequences, other people will be pleased or embittered or indifferent, and more things will subsequently be done, ad infinitum. The people and things will be different than in other places, to be sure, so that the history of America will not be transposable with the history of Norway or the history of the Irrawaddy basin. But if America is a place and its people are of and for that place, then “American history” will be just that, the record of things that happened in America, for as long and as far as you care to conceptually stretch the term. Siberians crossing the frozen Bering Strait would thus be entering into the history of America, a history that would also, eventually, have to reach up to include a few latter-day Americans jumping around on the surface of the moon. The Sea of Tranquility would be, in a way, a kind of American province, too.

NC: 'These rights are under attack.' Cheers and applause greet Rockingham vote to become 'Second Amendment Constitutional Protection County.'

 Gun Resolution
With a population of about 92,000, the rural county has already granted 7,800 conceal carry permits to gun owners and Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page told commissioners on Monday night that his goal is to reach 10,000 such permits.
24 out of 100 counties so far.

Rockingham County Board of Commissioners Chairman Kevin Berger consulted with his father, North Carolina Senate President Pro Tem Phil Berger, as he prepared a resolution to make the county a so-called Second Amendment Constitutional Protection County.

And on Monday night, before a packed room of supporters of the move, commissioners unanimously passed a resolution to adopt the largely symbolic title, joining at least 23 other N.C. counties that have adopted similar resolutions. The vote brought a crowded chamber to its feet with passionate cheers and applause.

Doctors Advise How to ‘Override’ Parents’ Refusal of Trans Medical Treatment for Children

"Gender-affirming" doctors authored an article in the Journal of Medical Ethics of the BMJ (British Medical Journal) in which they advise the trans industry how they can prevail over parents who are reluctant to allow their children to participate in treatments, such as puberty blocker, cross-sex hormones, and surgeries.

Video: Rand Paul Puts ‘Whistle-Blower’ Eric Ciaramella on Blast From the Senate Floor

Rand Paul

I’ve always liked Rand Paul. Unlike a lot of Republicans, I think his isolationist bent is a good counterbalance within a party that far too often falls into foreign miscalculations (and no one can really claim he was “wrong” about Syria and Iraq).

Paul has also been a long-term, consistent fighter against the machinations of government bureaucracies. That was on display today when he bucked all the Democrat and media teeth-gnashing to put Eric Ciaramella (the “whistle-blower”) on blast from the Senate floor.

Autopsy Doctor reveals Epstein injuries show fight and struggle before death

Via Jessica Hult

The images, which were obtained by 60 Minutes and shown publicly for the first time on Sunday, were taken by the New York City medical examiner's office after Jeffrey Epstein killed himself in his federal prison cell

truepundit reports:  Dr Michael Baden, who was hired by Epstein’s brother to investigate the death and was present during the autopsy, said there was no image taken of the 66-year-old inside his cell. He said that without that photo it was difficult to determine Epstein’s cause of death and said the official ruling was ‘premature judgment’.

Dr Baden believes the forensic evidence released so far in Epstein’s death points more to murder and strangulation rather than suicide.
Now months later. Baden points out the noose found in Epstein’s cell did not appear to have any blood on it despite the image from his autopsy showing a wound around his neck. Dr Baden said the wound across Epstein’s neck was more common with someone who has been strangled with a wire instead of a hanging. Epstein also suffered injuries to his hands, shoulders and had contusions — all injuries consistent with a physical, defensive struggle before his death.
