Democrat Sheriff Refuses to Enforce Gretchen Whitmer’s Shutdown Order: Businesses Are ‘Dying’
A Democrat county sheriff is the latest to say he is not going to enforce Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s shutdown order.

about a third of the reported coronavirus cases and a quarter to a third
of reported death worldwide. What accounts for these amazing numbers?
By any measure, the US has a much better healthcare system than the Philippines (PI). The country has about a third of the US population, at 106.7 million. Just to pick a date, on May 12, 2020 the PI reported 11,086 cases and 726 deaths, according to Worldometer. This represents 213 cases per million residents, and 7 per million deaths. The US reported 4,187 cases per million, and 247 deaths per million, 20 and 30 times higher than the PI. The PI also had variable lockdowns, as did the US, with Manila reportedly facing the strictest measures, similar to some areas in the US.

During the 10th and final early-voting state Democratic primary debate, held in South Carolina on Feb. 25, 2020, candidate and former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden made a remark that raised eyebrows. Readers turned to Snopes to verify whether Biden shared a statistic that would have meant roughly half of the American population had been killed since 2007 by guns.
Biden did indeed make the comment. Below is a transcript of the remark,

World of Speed Museum to Close Permanently
Sadly, The World of Speed motorsport museum will be permanently closing its doors due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Their board of directors announced Tuesday to shut down museum operations after Gov. Kate Brown released a phased plan to restart the state economy. The museum’s board of directors couldn’t see a light at the end of the tunnel, the museum has been closed for 2 months amidst the pandemic.
“Voting to close the museum permanently was an extremely difficult decision for the board,” said Sally Bany, co-founder of World of Speed, in a statement.

A couple of things to notice in the chart below:
1) To "juice" the death numbers they publish, the folks at the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) are now lumping Covid-19 deaths with 'ordinary' flu and pneumonia deaths. "PIC," in the chart below, means "pneumonia, influenza, Covid"
2) What you see plotted is the % of ALL deaths that are assigned to Covid, flu and pneumonia.
3) This is a 3 year "look back" and the rising and falling lines you see is a visualization of 3 years of flu seasons.
4) As you can see, we had a big surge and now we're on a track that looks like this is pretty much over in the next few weeks.
....but will the media and Democrats allow it to go away when it has been so useful to them this far?

NY State's policy of forcing superannuated Covid patients back to their nursing homes to infect others. That number is close to twice the number of deaths which occurred in 9/11.

is still held up as the paragon of how a governor handled the Covid crisis.

Dr. Russell Blaylock wrote for Technocracy
that people who aren't sick should not wear a face mask. The
publication of his opinion piece comes as more businesses and locales
make masks a requirement, such as in Los Angeles where residents are now
required to wear a mask when they leave their homes.
Blaylock noted that people wearing the most effective masks, N95 respirators, are at risk of negative effects of having their oxygen intake limited for extended periods of time.A former neurosurgeon wrote an op-ed published Thursday warning that face masks are not only ineffective against the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19, but they can be potentially dangerous in some circumstances.

California Sheriff: I’m Not Enforcing Lockdown, We’re Too Busy ‘Re-Arresting’ Criminals
On Tuesday, Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims of California said she is not enforcing Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom’s lockdown order, noting that her team has their “hands full trying to re-arrest” criminals who are out on “zero-dollar bail,” a policy implemented in 2019.
“I’ve heard multiple sheriffs around the nation state they will not enforce their governors’ shelter-in-place orders. Is that your position?” asked Trevor Carey, host of the Trevor Carey Show.
“That is my position,” the sheriff answered in the affirmative. “We do not stop the public to find out what they’re doing when they’re not sheltering in place. We don’t ask those questions, we don’t ask if they’re ‘essential’.”

He’s leaving the military with an other-than-honorable discharge.
Army officials condemned the cadet last year and opened an investigation into his social media activity. “Second Lieutenant Rapone’s actions in no way reflect the values of the U.S. Military Academy or the U.S. Army,” an Army statement read.

My militry school clasmate was in charge of the 10th until his retirement.
