“Whose Hand Shall Write It, Whose Tongue Shall Utter It?”

Southern Secession & Northern Coercion - Confederate Shop
I used to recite a part of his speech The New South: in front of the Marshall, VA UDC. Starting with "Dr. Talmage has drawn for you, with a master’s hand, the picture of your returning armies"

Senator Benjamin H. Hill of Georgia, one of the last to accept the secession of his State in 1861, proved himself to be the last to give up the hope of establishing that secession. After Lincoln’s election in November 1860, Hill pleaded that the Union not be abandoned to its enemies by withdrawing. He asked: “Is this Union good? If so, why should we surrender its blessings because Massachusetts violates the laws of that Union? Drive Massachusetts to the duties of the Constitution or from its benefits . . . Let us defend the Union from its enemies – not abandon it to them.”

On March 11, 1865, he delivered what has been designated “the last speech made by any Southern man in behalf of the Confederacy.”

Peter Navarro: Dems Want USPS to Be ‘Ballot-Harvesting Service’

Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends Weekend,” White House trade and manufacturing adviser Peter Navarro accused Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of trying to turn the U.S. Postal Service into a “ballot harvesting service.”

Navarro said, “Let’s think about it. First, the irony of what’s getting Chuck and Nancy back to Washington; it’s not concern about the working men and women of America, who really need our help right now. They want to come back so they can rename the post office the United States ballot harvesting service. So it’s unfortunate we get these – in the middle of the election – we get all these new cycle things going on that they seize upon.”

Why Is It So Difficult To Make A Clench Fist Right After Waking Up?

Recently, I learned from family, friends, and neighbors what happened when Antifa, seeking to cause havoc, came to an Italian-, Irish-, and now Albanian-American Bronx neighborhood and another almost exclusively Italian-American Bronx neighborhood nearby.

Apparently, when confronted by an organized and motivated opposition, they decided that discretion was the better part of valor and retired from the field of battle.

How unexpected.  When their cowardice was exposed, they took their ball and went home — or, perhaps, to another area where they knew they would not face resistance to their riotous depredations.

Is Biden-Harris on Tom Dewey's Path?

Undeniably, Trump has his problems. But it is not certain that Biden's sheltering in his basement and issuing his milquetoast responses to Portland, Seattle, and the shootings, lootings, and killings in Chicago, will prevail on Nov. 3 over Trump's boisterous campaign call to crack down on criminals, go back to school, get back to work, and "play ball."
Biden-Harris looks like a ticket content to sit on its lead and ride to victory in November, the way Governor Dewey did in 1948.

Accused of being a serial harasser in 2019, Joe Biden did what comes naturally. He apologized for perceived past misbehavior, and, to appease his accusers, pledged to choose a woman for a Biden ticket. Reacting to the racial rage that erupted after the death of George Floyd under the knee of a white Minneapolis cop, Biden reacted again. He put out word he would be looking closely for a black woman to run with.
