We have long been in a post-constitutional democracy, one that recognizes no individual rights, but simply who has the most votes, or, more accurately, the most ballots. It is as destructive to the United States as it was to France, minus the guillotines, for now.

Driving home the fact of the stolen election is pointless. Everyone knows it was stolen, especially those who benefitted from the steal. They also understand the value of keeping up the illusion of legitimacy. Equal to that value is the importance of never conceding that point. To put a cap on it, two states that were NOT swing states in the 2020 election have had some very interesting findings, Mississippi and New Hampshire.

Dispatches from the New Cold War (China)

Today’s characteristically luminous insights will be disordered and structurally horrifying, the sort of essay that would have sent my high-school English teacher into anaphylactic shock. In exculpation I plead laziness.

Recently I wrote a column on China’s digital yuan, now in late-stage testing. Bare-bones explanation: You download a digital-wallet app with which you can then send payments to anybody in the world who also has the app, no forms, bureaucracy, or bank account needed. OK, that’s cute, you say. Then, with my phenomenally perceptive, pincer-like grasp of the inescapable, I thought, it sounds scalable. If you can do it with thirty bucks (in yuan) for a hat from some store, why not with fifty million dollars (in yuan) for a shipment of oil from Iran? Sure, with more security and so on, but same mechanism.

Interestingly, such payments would be completely independent of, and opaque to, Washington. And independent of…SWIFT, eeeeeeek! Do you suppose China has thought of this?

Republicans fight Democrat push to compromise voting rules

Republicans fight Democrat push to compromise voting rules

"I said this bill's title is a misnomer because I do not believe this bill has anything to do with the American people. It is a bill by the majority, for the majority, and is intended to entrench the majority in power for years to come.

"At each turn this bill is designed to rewrite the current rules of our elections in a way that benefits Democrats. It changes voting laws, election laws and campaign finance laws. It imposes from Washington, DC, a one-size-fits-all regulatory scheme on each state. And what's worse, it does this even though states have traditionally been allowed to generally run elections however they see fit."

(during a March 1 House Rules Committee hearing)

Despite unanimous Republican opposition, House Democrats have passed a bill which would make radical changes in state voting laws.

"I said this bill's title is a misnomer because I do not believe this bill has anything to do with the American people. It is a bill by the majority, for the majority, and is intended to entrench the majority in power for years to come.

Joe Biden Pentagon Nominee Colin Kahl: ‘Republicans the Party of Ethnic Cleansing’

WASHINGTON, DC - FEBRUARY 21: Former U.S. Deputy Assistant Defense Secretary for the Middle East Colin Kahl participates in a panel discussion about Iran's nuclear program sponsored by The National Iranian American Council in the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill February 21, 2012 in Washington, DC. Kahl said …

Colin Kahl, nominated for Under Secretary of Defense for Policy, described Republicans as “the party of ethnic cleansing” on Twitter. His Senate confirmation hearing is set for Thursday.

“The GOP used to pride itself as a party that put values front and center in US foreign policy,” wrote Kahl in one October 2019 tweet. “Now—as they debase themselves at the alter of Trump—they are the party of ethnic cleansing.”

Victimless Crimes Make Everyone a Victim

 Thick Red Line

Crime and punishment have been a fundamental concern for human beings since the beginning of civilization.  Similar struggles are also found in animal groups usually related to food, dominance, and procreation.  Man’s ability to communicate, act with motivation, and plan for the future adds significant additional layers of complexity.  In most ancient civilizations, rulers were usually considered to be “gods” themselves or to rule as a messenger of the “gods” with their permission.  Moral codes were a combination of religious beliefs and edicts of the monarch.

The Future

"For every Southern boy fourteen years old, not once but whenever he wants it is the instant when it is still not yet two o'clock on that July afternoon in 1863, the brigades are in position behind the rail fence, the guns are laid and ready in the woods and the furled flags are already loosened to break out and Pickett himself with his long oiled ringlets and his hat in one hand and his sword in the other looking up the hill waiting for Longstreet to give the word and it's all in the balance, it hasn't happened yet, it hasn't even begun yet, it not only hasn't begun yet but there is still time for it not to begin against that position and those circumstances which made more men than Garnett and Kemper and Armstead and Wilcox look grave yet it's going to begin, we all know that, we have come too far with too much at stake and that moment doesn't need even a fourteen year old boy to think this time.

Maybe this time with all this much to lose and all this much to gain: Pennsylvania, Maryland, the world, the golden dome of Washington itself to crown with desperate and unbelievable victory the desperate gamble, the cast made two years ago......"

William Faulkner

 ************************

Some have great difficulty in accepting the awesome, absolute finality of death.  Mostly they understand it's a natural conclusion to life, but emotionally, it's not what they 'want', so they begrudge the loss.  I think most people grieve over their own failings in their duty or responsibilities to the deceased, more so than the actual loss of Grannie.  A few never accept the fact, and try to keep alive the memory of the one departed in some way.

As it is with individuals, so it is with nations, states, tribes, institutions made by man, for man's purposes.  But Empires fall, states fail, societies collapse.  Life is finite, whether mine or that of the nation.  I will be forgotten in two weeks; The Confederacy is mourned yet,  but not much longer; ignorance will excise the glorious memory of that manful effort for independence.  I mourn the death of he Roman Catholic tradition and faith.  I suppose the lesson is that Ignorance Wins. Kind of negative, that.  I will say that Jefferson Davis prophesied that the military defeat of his cause, solved nothing, that the problem will re-emerge in the future.

In the case of the Church, we have Christ's Word that He will be with us to the end, and hell shall not prevail against it  So there's that.

So much for the introduction.

I am here this morning, to utter a black truth.  The Republic died a long time ago, in 1865.  The Corporate Nation known as the United States has finally expired this past year, in 2020.  A long slow decline, a cancer, finally brought low the noblest experiment of history.  It saddens me no end, to speak so, in this Eastertide, there is no resurrection of this corpse.  No saving that body, born of blood, baptized in blood, and confirmed in blood, some of it mine.

A reincarnation has occurred, however in which a new body is raised.  New only to this continent, as we see the spectre of the old Communist totalitarianism rear its ugly visage amongst the palms of California and the pines of New England.  Indeed, the cancer metastasized clear down to Virginia.  No Heroic Measures will restore what was, in that vessel of corruption.

So, our future . . .

I believe that only separation and segregation will save the Ideal, that was America.  Separate and segregate from the old body entire and form anew, in the States least infected, a new structure, based firmly on the original principles, but with the lessons learned from the failures of our fathers.

To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, "When government no longer suits the interests of the people, it is THEIR RIGHT AND DUTY,  to replace it with one more fitted to their purpose."  Sorry I am unable to quote with 100% exactitude. Age, y'know.

I leave the subject here, for your thoughts, consideration and comments.

PURE BS: Security tight at U.S. Capitol after police warn of possible militia attack

Via John "Ooh ! The boogey men are coming."

False flag anyone?  Or Chicken Little might be more appropriate.

Oh, more BS: Those arrested include members of armed militia groups such as the OatthKeepers and the ,Three Percenters.

Security was tight on Thursday at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, the scene of a deadly assault in January, after police warned that a militia group might try to attack it to mark a key date on the calendar of a baseless conspiracy theory.

A bulletin issued on Tuesday by the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Bureau of Investigation said an unidentified group of "militia violent extremists" discussed plans in February to "take control of the U.S. Capitol and remove Democratic lawmakers on or about March 4."
