I Like Ike! Washington and Lee University Must Keep Lee in Its Name

 https://genzconservative.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/10/dwight-eisenhower-on-robert-e-lee-1024x688.jpg

President Dwight D. Eisenhower was an American war hero and one of our best presidents. On April 23, 1954, during his first of two terms, he said, in a speech at Abraham Lincoln's birthplace of Hodgenville, Kentucky:

In my office in the White House, I have sketches of four great Americans on the wall: one is--and the oldest--Benjamin Franklin; George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Robert E. Lee.1

President Eisenhower loved and respected Robert E. Lee, and Eisenhower is a much better judge of Lee's character and place in history than today's racist, hate-filled, politically correct academia.

Academia is a sick place that often is anti-white and anti-free-speech, where a true debate with diverse opinions is impossible because academia is 100% liberal and increasingly hard left liberal.

The Postwar Lee at Washington College

Robert E. Lee’s tenure as President of Washington College (now Washington and Lee University) should be regarded as one of the most important events in American educational history, and it was for decades. He saved the struggling school, recruited young men from around the South, and instituted the honor code, a set of principles still used by students at the school today. But woke academics have worked to undermine Lee’s reputation, and as a result the school is considering removing Lee’s name from the University. This would not only be foolish, but ahistorical as Philip Leigh explains in this short video.

How to Eliminate the Drug Trade Overnight: Never Happen Since Too Many People Get Rich from It

 Traipsing Through Wonderland

As perhaps most now know, China is preparing a digital currency with which it intends to replace cash entirely, and other countries, including the US, are considering the idea. Conservatives and libertarians will shriek, pull their hair, and turn blue at the idea, perhaps with good reason—which doesn’t matter since it is going to happen anyway.

How would it work? Digital currencies have many interesting qualities, but here we will look only at a few relevant to this column. First, you download the app like any other. It gives you a QR code and requires a face scan and perhaps a fingerprint scan, so that only you can use your money. Second, details of every transaction are recorded: time, place, name, and amount of every payment., from whom to whom. Most people won’t care since most people don’t do anything illegal, which will facilitate acceptance.

Setting the record straight on Georgia's Election Law

 Georgia early voting

A new ad campaign aims to separate fact from fiction when it comes to Georgia's new election law.

A portion of a television ad from Heritage Action states, "President Biden is lying about Georgia's new election reform. Even The Washington Post caught him in in his lies" and goes on to explain that the new law expands and promotes early voting, kicks special interest groups out of polling places, and allows counties to provide water for people waiting in line.

Nearly two months after New Mexico State Police Officer Darian Jarrott was gunned down during a traffic stop, his widow is demanding answers. Gabriella Jarrott and her attorney Sam Bregman took the first steps in filing a wrongful death lawsuit against the State of New Mexico by sending a tort notice in March and plan to do the same against the Department of Homeland Security by the end of this week.

Cruz, Hawley, Lee Team Up On Bill To Strip MLB Of Monopoly Protections Over Georgia Boycott

A group of GOP senators introduced a bill Tuesday to strip Major League Baseball (MLB) of antitrust exemptions over its boycott of Georgia.

Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas, Josh Hawley of Missouri, and Mike Lee of Utah announced the bill targeting the MLB in a press conference. The senators slammed “woke corporations” that have pressured Georgia to roll back election reforms signed into law in March. The MLB took an additional step of relocating its 2021 all-star game and rookie draft out of Atlanta to protest the reforms.
