Robert E. Lee considered reconciliation and education to be his highest duties after the War. While many other Confederate leaders left the United States, Lee remained in Virginia and worked to heal the wounds of the War. He turned down political positions and refused to capitalize on his name, and instead accepted a position as President of Washington College to revive the struggling school’s fortunes. As Philip Leigh explains, Lee should be remembered as one of the greatest Americans in history.

Abundantly Degenerate Liberals
Via Paul
The Anti-Defamation League has been in the news again. When, two years ago, the Southern Poverty Law Center (sic) was hit by a series of scandals concerning such matters as its dubious fundraising, amassed wealth, and deliciously ironic allegations of racial discrimination and sexual harassment leading to the firing of its founder Morris Dees and the resignation of its president Richard Levin, I hoped that some similar fate would befall the ADL. Sadly, this hope failed to materialize. Indeed, it might be said that in this period in which the SPLC’s reputation has sunk to an all-time low, the ADL’s influence has soared to new heights. Due, presumably, to its new director’s connections to Silicon Valley, the ADL has been working alongside Big Tech to censor online speech and purge the internet of opinions of which it disapproves, a campaign that has turned into a blitzkrieg of thought suppression in the course of the last year. It has now declared war on Tucker Carlson, the most popular talk show host on FOX News, basically for being the only mainstream television news persona with the stones to speak the unvarnished truth about immigration.

The Joe Biden Who Never Was
'No obligation': Joe Biden opposed helping South V...
Biden is proving the Biden he always was—as incompetent as Jimmy Carter, without the latter’s probity. He may prove as corrupt as Bill Clinton yet without his animal energy. His narcissism matches that of Al Gore and John Kerry, but without even their thin veneer of assumed authority. He is a greater racial divider than Barack Obama but without Obama’s smooth contextualizations.
These are the most radical first three months of a presidency since 1933, the most divisive—and certainly the most dangerous. And its catalyst is the myth of ol’ Joe from Scranton who has unleashed furies and hatreds never quite seen in modern American history.
“Woke” Joe Biden
At an age when most long ago embraced a consistent political belief, late septuagenarian Joe Biden suddenly reinvented himself as our first woke president. That is ironic in so many ways because Joe’s past is a wasteland of racialist condescension and prejudicial gaffes. For much of the 1980s and 1990s, he positioned himself as the workingman’s Democrat from Delaware (or, as Biden once beamed, “We [Delawareans] were on the South’s side in the Civil War.”). In truth, he exuded chauvinism well beyond that of his constituents.

[Photos] The Frenetic Energy of 1960s Chợ Lớn
Comic books and bread, cigarettes and rickshaw rides: Saigon has always reveled in the exchange of goods and services for money.
Modern-day Saigon is considered the nation's most globally influenced and commerce-focused city, and it's been that way for quite some time. In the 1960s, as these photos reveal, people were concerned with making and then spending a buck via traditional and emerging means. Everything from imported sodas to roasted ducks to fresh produce shipped up from the delta was on sale. The busy streets may not have been home to as many international outlets as today, but the spirit currently embodied by MUJI, GS25, Burger King and Uniqlo was very much thriving decades ago.
When you look at these photos taken by Anton Cistaro, a stationed American solder, you can practically hear people calling out prices. And one imagines that right after posing for the photos, many of the people followed up with "now I have to go, I have so much to do.

After Decades Under the Bed, a 1974 Vietnamese Film Finds an Audience Online
It's 2009 and I'm running a workshop for a large group of unemployed jobseekers in Sydney, Australia.
We are discussing our “greatest accomplishment in life” when a very reserved 60-year-old Vietnamese man says, “I made a feature film at a famous studio, it’s been under my bed for years and no one’s ever seen it.”
We would spend the next 11 years battling skepticism and technological disasters to bring this hidden film to an audience. But through all the hurdles and setbacks I formed the most unlikely friendship with Didi, as he is known, a man with a large heart living in a small flat crammed with filmmaking paraphernalia. I had the opportunity to hear his remarkable journey and make sense of what makes a person hide their greatest achievement under their bed and refer to it as their “never-born child.”

Biden offers grants to teach children U.S. 'inherently racist': Program 'gives the stamp of federal approval' to absurd 'sources'
Via Billy
Last October, two members of the 1776 Commission, Hillsdale College President Larry Arnn and Hoover Institution fellow Victor Davis Hanson, were among the professors, academics and historians who signed a letter urging the Pulitzer Prize Board to rescind its award to the author of the "1619 Project," Nikole Hannah-Jones.
Posted on the website of the National Association of Scholars, the letter asserts there is "simply no evidence" for her claim that "protecting the institution of slavery was a primary motive for the American Revolution."
The Biden administration plans to offer grants for K-12 history classes that use curriculum claiming the United States is inherently racist.
The funding will support the teaching of Marxist-based critical race theory and the "1619 Project," the New York Times series that contends the United States was founded on slavery, regarding it as the defining characteristic of the American experience, the Washington Times reported.

Arizona Gov. Declares State of Emergency Over Biden’s Immigration Crisis, Deploys National Guard to Border
“It’s become evidently clear that Arizona needs the National Guard, and the White House is aware of that. Yet, to this day, there has been no action from this administration, and it doesn’t look like they are going to act any time soon,” he added. “If this administration isn’t going to do anything, then we will.”
Arizona Republican Governor Doug Ducey announced Tuesday that he is declaring a state of emergency over the ongoing migrant crisis at the United States-Mexico border and that he is deploying the Arizona National Guard to help handle the hundreds of people, including dozens of unaccompanied minors, who are flowing across the border daily.

DeSantis Rips Biden: ‘An Aggressive Left-Wing Culture Warrior.....
.....‘Ultimately Going To Be Their Undoing in 2022’
"It feels like we're under siege from all the stuff coming out of Washington and the media and I get it, but I do think there's going to be a reaction to this."
Florida Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis pulled no punches describing President Biden when discussing the visceral anger and hatred emanating from the political Left in America after the 2020 election, calling Biden an “aggressive left-wing culture warrior.”
DeSantis spoke with Tucker Carlson this week, who asked about the Left, “Why did they get angrier when they won?”

The New Normal: A “Justice System” Ruled By The Mob
“Conservative” courts and judges mean nothing if our justice system is ruled by a mob of domestic terrorists. The rule of law means nothing if there are one set of rules for half of the country and a different set of rules for the other. Nothing about what we are seeing unfold right now is “justice” in any sense of the word and it certainly is not “normal.”
It’s anarcho-tyranny.
How long are we going to put up with it?
Everything about the Chauvin trial and the media coverage of it showcases the subversion and transformation of our justice system into one of a third-world banana republic.
We can’t have a justice system that is ruled by threats of violence, doxxing, and harassment from the domestic terrorists in the mainstream media, on the streets, and in the Democratic party.
That’s not how civilized societies function, it’s how third-world countries function. If you import the third-world, don’t be surprised when your country becomes the third-world.

Despite former officer Derek Chauvin being found guilty on all three charges in the death of George Floyd case, Black Lives Matter activists are still not satisfied and want white people to pay, even threatening a civil war.
Journalist Ami Horowitz was on the ground in Minneapolis as the jury announced their final verdict interviewing left-wing extremists.

Black Lives Matter activists fumed on Tuesday afternoon after a Minneapolis jury returned a verdict convicting former Minneapolis police Derek Chauvin on all counts, manslaughter and murder, in the death of George Floyd last May.
The jury took less than a day to deliver the verdict, a move that surprised many who were expecting deliberations to take at least a few days. Chauvin now faces up to 75 years in prison when he is sentenced in several weeks.

Website Will Allow Parents and Teachers to Expose Classroom Radicalism: North Carolina group encourages whistleblowers to come forward
Via David
A North Carolina education advocacy group launched a website this week to help whistleblowers expose radicalism in K-12 schools.
Education First Alliance launched its Schoolhouse Shock watchdog site on Monday to help parents and teachers call attention to radicalism in the classroom. Users can anonymously upload videos, photos, and documents from their child’s class to catalog critical race theory-based lessons being taught in schools.
"Our new statewide whistleblower program, Schoolhouse Shock, will add to our toolbox in the fight against the onslaught of racially inflammatory and sexualized curriculums that children are being immersed in all over North Carolina," Sloan Rachmuth, Education First Alliance president, said in a statement.
