The Communists Won

 Via Προστάτης Καντονεζικός

Who won the Cold War? The Communists or the Capitalists?  Actually, they both have won it.  There was never that much difference between them to begin with, which was a central message of the Southern Agrarians almost a century ago. The Communist/Capitalists now are the U.S. regime.  They have been converging for many years and are now completely consolidated and completely in control.

The capitalists (the bankers and stockjobbers, to use the terminology of early Americans) now control a vast and ever increasing share of the wealth while the workers get poorer and poorer. Capitalists serve the purposes of the Communists and even bankroll them.

Summer Vacation Hotspots Say They’ll Shut Down Rather Than Hire Young Americans

 Hotel customers on summer vacations

Many of the businesses that used to provide employment to American teenagers are now so dependent on foreign workers that they say they’ll cut back on their business or shut down entirely this summer because of delays in getting visas.

That is a shocking choice given the fact that millions of Americans remain out of work. More than 17.4 million Americans are collecting some form of unemployment insurance right now. While many of those workers are arguably over-qualified for summer jobs at hotels, restaurants, and retail stores in popular summer destinations, there are plenty of Americans looking for jobs who would be good candidates—but employers act as if they cannot be hired.

Duong, called ``Nago' by his friends, and other South Vietnamese who fought with Dix were flown by the Army to an island off the coast of Vietnam to save them from execution by the Viet Cong. They were taken to Guam after the collapse of their country.

Fifteen years after fighting with the U.S. Army in Vietnam and leaving his family behind, Ngo Nhat Duong was reunited with his wife and youngest daughter in a tearful celebration this week.

``We've been trying for 15 years to reunite Nago with his family,' Fayetteville attorney Bobby Deaver said. ``But the Vietnamese government resisted all efforts until a few weeks ago, when they finally agreed to give (Duong's) wife and his youngest daughter travel visas.'The daughter, now 20, was 5 years old when her father left Vietnam to avoid being executed. The other daughter died while Duong was in the United States.

NYPD Officers Leaving In Droves, 75% Increase In Quitting Or Retirement In 2020: Over 830 officers have already left the NYPD this year

The members of the NYPD grew so disenchanted with their jobs in 2020 that over 5,300 uniformed officers either retired or quit, an astonishing 75% increase over the year before, amounting to 15% of the total number of officers on the force. The impetus for the officers quitting seemed to be the death of George Floyd and the unrest that followed; between May 25 and June 24, 2020, a whopping 272 officers left the force in one month.
