The spaghetti sauce I stockpile was on sale so I picked up a case. (And, yeah, I can make a dynamite sauce from scratch but when I can buy a jar of sauce for one dollar it makes doing it from scratch kinda pointless.) My eye caught something and, sure enough, the magic shrinking ray has been busy.
Right side is a jar purchased November ‘10. (Yes, I datestamp the food that goes into storage.) On the left, a jar purchased today. 23.9 vs. 26 ounces. Or, put another way, about 10% less. This stuff was on sale for $0.99….or was it? With a 10% reduction in size, compared to the previous size, this jar costs $1.10…ten percent more than the larger jar. Hidden inflation. I would say “coming to a supermarket near you” but, actually, its already there.

The Global Warming Hoax In Charts & The newest hockey stick
The remarkable thing about the anthropogenic global warming hoax is that it isn’t even a close call. Anyone who takes the trouble to investigate the science will quickly learn that the alarmist position is a fraudulent one, driven, I think, by the billions of dollars that are thrown at those who are willing to sell out scientific method in support of the statist line. Hiding the decline is way more lucrative than presenting objective, and unalarming, scientific findings. Joe Bastardi writes:
A few graphics make the position of the AGW people completely absurd. It’s why I am so confident as to my position on this matter, and by the way it does have something to do with the weather because if you know where the weather has been, you have a better chance to know where it’s going.
This chart shows how the Earth’s temperatures have correlated with changes in ocean conditions that are known to be relevant to atmospheric temperatures, the Pacific Decadal and Atlantic Multidecadal Oscillations:
Hmm. Seems like we may be onto something here. Now let’s add another line to the chart: atmospheric concentrations of CO2:====================================================

Black vs. Yellow
VERBATIM POST
===================
Both the NY Times and the Wall Street Journal have stories about the recent basketball brawl between Georgetown and a Chinese team playing in China. In all of their semi-learned analysis of the fight, the words "race", "black", and "African-American" make no appearance whatsoever. (Though obviously, "Chinese" does.) Take a look at the photo above, and tell yourself that the races of the participants aren't relevant to a story about a fight between two sports teams. That the words I noted aren't mentioned is testimony to the Orwellian unreality that the media tries to pass off as truth.
The media is only interested in race when it can blame white people for something, and in this case that wasn't possible. If the team opposing Georgetown had been all or mainly white, you can bet that charges of racism against that team would be flying. Regardless of who threw the first punch - a commenter on this blog thought it was a Georgetown player, but I couldn't see that on the video - it isn't terribly hard to imagine that the Chinese were more than happy to fight a black team, and in fact since PC has very little purchase in China, they would have had less incentive to pull their punches than a white team would. But the media won't say that. Only whites can be racist.
Besides all that, college sports have corrupted higher education through their lowering of standards, addiction to the money they bring in, and the diversion from the real purpose of universities.
Gunwalker and the Foundation of Liberty The lives of the individuals harmed by Gunwalker mean nothing to statists.
It all comes down to this: Is there an inalienable right to self-defense? If there is, each man has indisputable, inestimable value, value that he may rightly preserve even if the life of another man is forfeit. A man may kill another in lawful self-defense even if the policy preferences of the state would prefer his death. If a right to self-defense actually exists, it is in a very real sense the highest law of the land and all lesser laws must pay it deference. It fundamentally defines the social contract, the nature of the relationship between man and the state.
But if there is no such inalienable right, the entire nature of the social contract is changed. Each man’s worth is measured solely by his utility to the state, and as such the value of his life rides a roller coaster not unlike the stock market: dependent not only upon the preferences of the party in power but upon the whims of its political leaders and the permanent bureaucratic class. The proof of this analysis surrounds us.
Irony abounds in that England, the cradle of the common law and of our doctrine of self-defense, has utterly done away with even a government-condescended privilege to self-preservation. Not only have the English allowed themselves to be virtually stripped of firearms, British politicians have made attempts with varying degrees of success to ban knives. Attempting to protect the self or others from brutal criminal attack can and will lead to lengthy jail sentences in jolly old England — for the victims. Attacking criminals often go free, and often successfully sue their victims for daring to harm them in the process of depriving them of property or their very lives.
In the recent riots in Britain, we see America not far into the future if the progressive worldview is much further advanced. Contemporary England is a nation that spends a great deal of time and energy ostensibly caring for “the people,” yet cares not a whit for the life of any individual, particularly when that life is threatened or taken by a member of a favored political class or victim group, criminals included. This attitude and practice is a foundation of socialism.
At an earlier stage of glorious socialist evolution, we find the family of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, murdered by cartel gunmen wielding rifles walked across the border in the gunwalker scandal. As reported by Fox News, the family of Terry requested crime victim status in the case of Jamie Avila, charged with purchasing the guns that reportedly killed Terry. Victims with such an obvious and compelling connection to a criminal case are routinely granted this status by prosecutors, but not in a government fundamentally changing itself into a socialist state.
Ruby Ridge & more Nineteen Years on
VERBATIM POST
And I ask, whose paranoid are you?
On August 21st, 1992, US Marshals shot and murdered a dog and a 14-year old boy named Sammy Weaver. In self-defense, a family friend, Kevin Harris, who was staying with the Weavers, fired in response and killed one of the Marshals at Ruby Ridge, Idaho.
Over twelve days, Randy Weaver, Sammy's Father, was shot in the back while entering the shack, next to their home, to visit his murdered sons body and severely wounded by FBI HRT sniper Lon Horiuchi. The next round fired by this murderer blew Vicki Weavers (Sammy's Mother) head off while she cradled her 10-month baby girl Elisheba in her arms. The round continued on striking and wounding Kevin Harris in the chest.
Many of you reading this may think that the murderer Horiuchi was being fired upon, but you are wrong because the Rules of Engagement (ROE) had been changed to the following:1. If any adult male is observed with a weapon prior to the announcement, deadly force can and should be employed, if the shot can be taken without endangering any children.Standard FBI deadly force rules are this:
2. If any adult in the compound is observed with a weapon after the surrender announcement is made, and is not attempting to surrender, deadly force can and should be employed to neutralize the individual.
3. If compromised by any animal, particularly the dogs, that animal should be eliminated.
4. Any subjects other than Randall Weaver, Vicki Weaver, Kevin Harris, presenting threats of death or grievous bodily harm, the FBI rules of deadly force are in effect. Deadly force can be utilized to prevent the death or grievous bodily injury to oneself or that of another"Agents are not to use deadly force against any person except as necessary in self-defense or the defense of another, when they have reason to believe they or another are in danger of death or grievous bodily harm. Whenever feasible, verbal warning should be given before deadly force is applied."This license-to-kill was so obviously un-Constitutional and immoral, that members from Denver, Colorado SWAT, (assigned to the siege) agreed amongst themselves that they would NOT follow it. Obviously, the lessons taught by the Nuremberg and My-Lai Trials of "just following orders" were not lost to these men nor were the morals of our once proud Republic.
This started the first of the sieges on US Citizens that were public and subsequent wide spread discovery by the public of just how often the ATF, US Marshals, FBI and other such government funded JBT and their handlers lie.
Here is an example of lies pointed out about Randy Weaver, written by FBI Assistant Director Danny Coulson on August 24th, 1992 in a memo:OPR 004477Understand, this was written DURING the siege of Ruby Ridge- AFTER Vicki Weaver had been murdered.
Something to Consider
1. Charge against Weaver is Bull Shit.
2. No one saw Weaver do any shooting.
3. Vicki has no charges against her.
4. Weaver's defense. He ran down the hill to see what dog was barking at. Some guys in camys shot his dog. Started shooting at him. Killed his son. Harris did the shooting [of Degan]. He [Weaver] is in pretty strong legal position."
Since then, we had Lon Horiuchi also murder at Waco, another ATF/FBI war on the citizens of the Republic that would up burning alive 86 children, women and men after a 51-day siege upon their Church. Horiuchi was there to shoot those trying to flee the flames. For his reward, he was kept out of the spotlight, after the charges of manslaughter were stripped from the State of Idaho, and in 2008 made a spokesman for HS-Precision, a company once held in high esteem by the shooting public for their ultra high-quality stocks though used primarily, it seems, by Jack Booted Thugs (think US government letter agencies) now.
There have been other less well known instances, others with less than such horrible endings as Ruby Ridge and Waco, but there were others directly blamed on these two events. However, the most troubling aspect of Ruby Ridge, beyond the event itself, the immoral murders of Sammy and Vicky, the lies perpetrated upon Randy and his family is the militarization of police forces across the Republic. This was denied for many years, but even Soldier of Fortune, in a full cover of their March 1999 issue had a lengthy article detailing this. Unfortunately, I can no longer find it on SOF's site, even the cover PDF, but did find the complete article at FOX News and you can read it here. From near the end of the article:Made-For-TV NightmareOn June 1st, 2011 I posted TL IN EXILE - Hardcore in response to TL's just outrage over the murder of Jose Guerena but this was just one more on the march to the Republic's full oppression. So many others may be read about here, there, and just about everywhere- DAILY! It is so horrible, that the parents of murdered Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry have been told by the DOJ that they have no standing as victims!
None of the cop/soldier blur is a secret. Rather, it's what a blur is supposed to be confusing. Night-after-night, American TV audiences are treated to real-life cop shows in which SWAT teams, dressed in camouflage or black, break through doors and hold suspects to the floor with the aid of fully automatic weapons in order to confiscate cocaine, marijuana or heroine in varying amounts.
In local newspapers and on local TV, police departments show-off new programs in which Navy SEALS train local officers. Police chiefs and sheriffs brag of acquiring helicopters, armored personnel carriers and airplanes from the federal government's post-Cold War military surplus programs.
One World Wide Web site (www.policeguide.com/swat.htm) features links to 50 colorful home pages of local yokel SWAT teams throughout the United States, in Mayberry settings like Ames, Iowa, and Spartanburg, S.C.
"It's all being done out in the open, and many people don't see it as frightening," says defense lawyer Blewitt. "That's because Americans have been conditioned to think it will only affect criminals. They've been convinced society is being destroyed by crime, even though violent crime has steadily decreased in recent years, and these military-style police are our only hope. What they should worry about is an emerging police state that threatens the very fabric of free society."
For those that have no clue who murdered Border Patrol Agent Agent Brian Terry is, then get out from under your rock, turn the damn bread-and-circuses crap off and read about the latest ATF/FBI/DEA/CIA Politician controlled program to suppress the rights of the Republic in the next five links.

What I have presented here are facts, facts from some of the events over the past nineteen years of atrocities that have numbed most of the Republic- desensitized them to what is coming and that is a crash on a scale of proportions not seen before. Unlike "Global Warming", this is man-made, and we allowed it to occur.
Since 1913, the legislation and tools have been increased for the Republics destruction and the militarization of police is just one key aspect of it.
Near the top, in the right column of this blog is a set of cross-hairs on a bouncing hour-ball, has been there for a very long time and it is titled: How long before it is YOU?
There are so many things working for our destruction; plans, legislation, sown distrust, and simple ignorance created by a false sense of trust in our supposed leaders. How long indeed is the proper question.
Our Founding Fathers, new what tyranny is- they left us the tools to keep it at bay, we let those tools rust and squandered their wisdom but I will not forget these words:"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect everyone who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined." Patrick HenryWill you?

Ron Paul Takes New Hampshire Young Republicans Straw Poll With 45 percent of Vote
VERBATIM POST
=================
Soundly defeats rivals in Granite State GOP contest
LAKE JACKSON, Texas – It’s been a good week for Ron Paul: a statistical tie at the Ames Straw Poll in Iowa last Saturday, a thousand New Hampshire voters at the Concord, New Hampshire office opening Wednesday night, and today, a resounding victory in the New Hampshire Young Republicans Straw Poll in New Castle.
With 45% of the vote, Paul soundly beat his closest rivals at this traditional lobster bake, with Mitt Romney earning 10% of the vote, followed by Thaddeus McCotter and Rick Perry, tied at 8%.
“Ron Paul’s message of traditional conservatism — fiscal restraint, limited government, and strong national defense — is clearly the future of the Republican Party,” said NH Chairman and State Senator Jim Forsythe, who spoke on behalf of Congressman Paul at the Straw Poll. “The other candidates know that and sound more like him every day. But there are convenient copies, and there’s the real thing.
“It takes more than a sound bite and a flip-flop to fool New Hampshire voters. That’s why there’s real momentum here for Ron Paul.”

Why the Southern Cause rankles liberals[at least those who are Jacobins - whether they understand the distinction or not]
Ta-Nehisi Coates is the semi-literate senior editor of The Atlantic. His obsessive hatred of the South bubbles up in every, oh, two or three blog posts.
His latest post poses a question that only a befuddled liberal could ask: How can we admire men such as Lincoln and Grant when they held such racist views?
I'll pause here for the long, withering sigh from those regular readers who know the obvious answer: The WBTS wasn't about liberating anybody; it was about the consolidation of power. Ending slavery was a strategic move to reimpose that power over the agrarian South, which had long opposed the big-business/big-government coalition that had taken over the central government. Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation was a brilliant, though thoroughly unconstitutional and Machiavellian move. Not only did it prevent Britain and France from allying with the CSA, it aimed at inciting slave revolts. Achieving one out of two major aims ain't bad.
Coates' post begins with a link to an NPR piece on Marxist historian Eric Foner, whose new book on Lincoln pretties up the Great Centralizer's racial views as flawed, but "evolving." (Yes, it's okay to sigh again.) Foner, of course, admires Lincoln for centralizing power, a necessary step in creating socialism:
Indeed, Foner is such an apologist for Soviet communism that he opposed the breakup of the Soviet Union and, naturally, invoked Abraham Lincoln as his reason. He railed against the secession movements in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Georgia in the early 1990s and urged Gorbachev to deal with them in the same manner that Lincoln dealt with the Southern secessionists.
In an editorial in the February 11, 1991 issue of The Nation magazine entitled "Lincoln's Lesson," Foner called the breakup of the Soviet Union, which at the time was being wildly cheered by freedom lovers everywhere, as "a crisis" that threatened the "laudable goal" of creating a system that demanded "overarching loyalty to the Soviet Union" while at the same time allowing separate republics to exist. No "leader of a powerful nation," Foner wrote, should allow such a thing as "the dismemberment of the Soviet Union."
He concluded that "The Civil War was a central step in the consolidation of national authority in the United States," which he of course views as a great event. One cannot adopt socialism – in the United States or anywhere else – without a highly centralized, monopolistic government. "The Union, Lincoln passionately believed, was a permanent government . . . and . . . Gorbachev would surely agree.
Foner does have a point: Lincoln's USA and Lenin's USSR were built on the premise that bigger is better. Both also used egalitarianism to justify their power and their brutal denial of self-determination for millions. And just as the Soviet Union imploded from its unsustainable bulk, Lincoln's USA is undergoing the same process of internal collapse.
Know hope.
Old Rebel
Due to the situation in our early years, this Egalitarian claim of the French Revolution, that all restraints and oppressions should end on humans collectively, involved “race”. And again involves unobtainable goals – there will always be distinctions about particular humans and the societies they produce –
the great error of the Egalitarian claim is that human freedom can be obtained by concentrated power acquired to erase such distinctions – indeed the giving of such power in the name of producing what can’t be produced in fact nor with such means, has produced enormous slaughters in the last two hundred years- two of the greatest of which are the two bookends, the War for Southern
Independence and World War One.
Our world was produced from the foundations laid in between them. Since then, erected on that foundation, is, despite showing a modern face, that old hydra headed Ancient tyranny of which Ron Paul and so many others have spoken but now given the modern name, Fascism. ...That Egalitarian project is a very large part of why government has grown so large…and has helped enable our financial enslavement.

International: Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez nationalized the Venezuelan gold mining industry this week, and called home over 211 tons of gold held offshore on behalf of the nation. Even communists know that gold in the hand is better than gold in a European bank. And the fall wedding season is coming up in India. Gold is the number one gift at weddings. Watch gold skyrocket over the next 90 days, certainly for more reasons than just these.
International II: The Dagong Global Credit Rating Company in China, which lowered the United States to A+ last November after the U.S. Federal Reserve decided to continue loosening its monetary policy, announced a further downgrade to A this week. Anyone out there remember seeing THIS story in the American news? Our biggest creditor doesn’t believe that America will pay its debts.
The Nation: In a breath-taking display of Cluelessness and Hubris, the Secret Service paid $2.19 million for TWO Prevost luxury top-of-the-online custom motor coaches so that the President could take a three-day tour this week. Three. Days. And American taxpayers get thrown under those buses. If they had leased these buses…even for a week…it might have cost $50K tops. This president is going to pull those buses into Midwestern towns where unemployment is high and the economy is in the toilet…and talk about growing the economy and creating jobs. Curiously, his tour was not found in the “hood” of any major city. See the CBS story at: Obama’s Buses.
The Nation II: New jobless claims topped 408,000 this week. Remember, readers. This is the number that the Labor Department will ADMIT TO. This doesn’t include people that got fired or laid off that haven’t filed a new claim. I’m going to keep reporting new unemployment claims every week to show you that Washington is LYING about the national unemployment rate.
The Nation III: The twelve members appointed to the completely unconstitutional Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction (Super Congress) got nearly $64.5 million from special interests groups over the past decade. $11.2 million of that came from Wall Street firms and big banks. As Will Rogers said, “we have the best politicians money can buy.”
Economy: The stock market continues its volatility, lurching up and down with every tidbit of news. Gold traded above $1,880 at one point this week, silver is above $40. It’s a flight to safety. Don’t wait any longer. Gold is headed for $6,000/oz., silver for $120. Buy now.
Business: Standard & Poor dared to piss off the Obama Administration, and they are now going to pay for it. The Securities & Exchange Commission is now going to crawl up their arses with a magnifying glass. It won’t end well for S&P. Meanwhile, Fitch downgraded the debt of the State of New Jersey…the first of many.
Sports: The Georgetown Hoya basketball team played the Bayi Rockets professional basketball team in Beijing, China in a game to promote goodwill. The game ended in a fistfight between teams, and the Hoya coach pulled his team and left. I guess thuggishness in basketball knows no geographical boundaries.
Entertainment: Russell Armstrong, husband of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Taylor Armstrong, hung himself at his home this week. Perhaps he started actually watching the show before his demise.

Federal Judge Rules North Carolina Can’t Stop Funding Abortions
Another result of the Tyrant Lincoln's war. It's none of their business, period. All FEDS out of my state.
========================
Randy's Right
VERBATIM POST
==================
I hate the Feds. North Carolina citizens overwhelmingly passed this bill to stop funding of abortions with tax payers money.
Randy’s Right
RALEIGH, North Carolina (Reuters) – A federal judge in North Carolina halted enforcement on Friday of part of the state budget that blocks government funding to Planned Parenthood because it performs abortions.
Planned Parenthood, which called the ruling a victory for women, asked the court in July to stay the measure that denies it state and federal funds used to subsidize family planning services and to provide teen pregnancy prevention programs.
Judge James A. Beaty Jr. ruled that the budget measure appeared to be unconstitutional, writing that it seemed to have been “adopted specifically to penalize Planned Parenthood for its separate abortion-related activities.”
The North Carolina measure is part of a national effort by abortion foes to defund Planned Parenthood’s health and family planning operations in response to the organization’s abortion services. Under current federal law, Planned Parenthood already cannot use government funds to provide abortions.
“While the state is free to limit funding for particular projects, including limiting funding for abortion services, that does not leave the state free to restrict a particular grantee from receiving any funding for other eligible projects,” Judge Beaty wrote in his ruling.
Anti-abortion activists who supported the measure including North Carolina Right to Life could not be immediately reached for comment.
North Carolina is one of a handful of states that has cut funds for Planned Parenthood over abortions. But judges in both Indiana and Kansas have issued similar injunctions to Beaty’s in recent months blocking those states from cutting off federal funds to Planned Parenthood clinics.
North Carolina also passed a law last month requiring women in the state to wait 24 hours and be presented with an ultrasound image of their fetus before an abortion, overriding a veto by Democratic Governor Beverly Perdue.
A Planned Parenthood spokeswoman said Friday’s temporary ruling had lifted the group’s confidence that it would prevail in the budget case, but did not know when a final ruling might be issued.
“This is a tremendous win for women in North Carolina, and we feel confident we will win in the end and our patients will continue coming to us for basic health,” said Paige Johnson, spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood of Central North Carolina.
One of two Planned Parenthood affiliates operating in the state, the group received about $212,000 of state and federal funds in the year ended June 30 to fund programs at its clinics in Fayetteville, Chapel Hill and Raleigh.
During that year, the three Planned Parenthood clinics provided family planning and reproductive health exams to almost 7,000 women, Planned Parenthood said.
Planned Parenthood Health Systems, the other North Carolina affiliate, receives $32,000 of state funds to provide long-acting contraceptives to low-income women such as IUD’s and $60,000 in Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative funding.
