Just a small historical note: The memorial in N.C. was dedicated on Memorial Day 1987. The memorial in Washington D.C. known as "The Three Servicemen", also depicting an African American US soldier, was dedicated 2 1/2 years earlier, on November 11th, 1984.
ReplyDeleteBoth memorials provoke much emotion. They are both beautiful and both capture the essence of the American Soldier in Vietnam.
Thanks. Wonder how that got that wrong?
DeleteOutstanding post Brock!
ReplyDeleteThe 7-oz House Sirloin as well as others stand out.
