"The sculptor was inspired to create this beautiful work of art by the poem "Two Little Boys". The poem tells of two little boys who played soldiers together and one of their stick horses broke so the other little boy offered to "save" him by pulling him up behind him on his stick horse. Time passed and the Civil War broke out and the two happened to be on the same battlefield and the one who had previously offered the ride on the stick horse was wounded and horseless. The little boy who had been "saved" rode over as an adult to return the favor." — with Carol Alawine Sessums.
And this is "OFFENSIVE" why?????
ReplyDeleteThis p.c. bull*hit is completely ludicrous! Send it my way.... I will PROUDLY display it for all to see!!
I haven't seen any mention of where it went. I'd sure take it.
DeleteYou know, every time something like this happens, I am offended. WTF?? Why is it that everybody else that gets their knickers in a knot over anything gets catered to, and the "normal people", who are still the backbone of this country get spit at?? In the DC area the "Atheists" (The american humanist assn.. check the board of directors...)) are going after a WW1 memorial in the shape of a cross (Horrors!!!) that has been in place since the 20s It has been there so long that the area is called Peace Cross, and some douchebag is now offended, and wants it gone. The PC government in the Peoples Paradise of Maryland will no doubt fold to their wishes.
ReplyDeleteI have but one solution for these Marxists.
DeleteOur small South Alabama town would gladly display this awesome sculture on our City Square..
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful statue and I wasn't aware of it before.
