As the worst tyrant in American history and the man responsible for a war which killed over half a million Americans, snuffed out efforts at self-determination, and utterly destroyed half of the continent, Lincoln got what was coming to him on that Spring night in 1865. 'Sic Semper Tyrannis' were appropriate words indeed."
