My nephew's son, Will Overman, walked the Appalachian Trial, then wrote and sang this song.

 Will Overman, of the Will Overman Band, took the stage at Fridays After Five Friday night. He's young, only a third-year at UVa, but he has a maturity to his sound and drive that is nothing short of impressive.

Overman is a musician but he's also clear that he's a Virginian. His music is rooted in the Commonwealth, and he says he draws inspiration from a state he says is second to none.
"I'm a Virginian, and all that we do and write and sing and pull from emotionally is very rooted in Virginia and rural Virginia and the mountains of this beautiful state," Overman says.
