Historian ties Dems to Marxist plan to collapse U.S. from inside
Via John
“We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America,” declared Barack Obama during a campaign stop on Oct. 30, 2008, five days before the election that would make him the most powerful man in the world.
The concept of “fundamental transformation” has been discussed vigorously since then, especially in light of the many sweeping changes Obama brought to the country over his eight years in office.
Historian Charles Sasser sees Obama’s “fundamental transformation” in the context of an older and more sinister plan articulated by a pair of Marxist activists nearly 50 years ago.
“What we’re seeing now is this fundamental transformation, and it goes all the way back to [Herbert] Marcuse,” Sasser said during a recent appearance on the “Prophecy Hour” radio program. “In the 1960s when he [Marcuse] was talking about the ‘long march through the institutions,’ this is what Obama was talking about – the fundamental transformation of America.”

Ex-Sheriff David Clarke to join pro-Trump super PAC
Via Billy
“It’s truly an honor to join the America First Action
team, most importantly because we share the same values that most
hard-working, law-abiding Americans do,” Clarke, who resigned last week
from his post as sheriff, said in a statement Tuesday. “It gives me the
chance to do what I love most—promote President Trump’s agenda,
including his fierce support for the American law enforcement officer,
and ensure the will of the American people who got President Trump
elected is not derailed by the left or the self-serving Washington
establishment.”
Former Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke Jr. announced
Tuesday he will join the super PAC devoted to electing candidates who
support the Trump-Pence administration.
Both the super PAC, America First
Action, and a spokesperson for Clarke announced that he would join the
team as a senior advisor and spokesman.

Robert E. Lee descendant resigns as pastor over racial justice comment
Via Billy
"It is to me simply incredible, that a people so shrewd and practical as those of the United States, should expect us to have discarded, through the logic of the sword merely, the convictions of a lifetime; or that they could be deceived by us, should we be base enough to assert it of ourselves. They know that the people of the South were conquered, and not convinced; and that the authority of the United States was accepted by us from necessity, and not from preference. [snip] The people of the South went to war, because they sincerely believed (what their political fathers had taught them, with one voice, for two generations) that the doctrine of State-sovereignty for which they fought, was absolutely essential as the bulwark of the liberties of the people."

The Brave Samaritan
A Review of The Angel of Marye’s Heights, by Les Carroll, Columbia, SC: Palmetto Bookworks, 1994.
The famed G.K. Chesterton once wrote: “The Bible tells us to love our neighbors, and also to love our enemies; probably because they are generally the same people.” No quote better sums up the actions of one brave Confederate soldier on the field at Fredericksburg who, when moved by the pitiful cries of wounded and dying Union soldiers, risked his life to bring some comfort to an enemy that was also his neighbor as an American.
The Angel of Marye’s Heights by Les Carroll describes the extraordinary scene of Sgt. Richard Rowland Kirkland (Company G, 2nd South Carolina Volunteers) bounding over the wall from where the Confederate forces held the high ground at Fredericksburg on to the battlefield where Union soldiers lay dead and dying. Onlookers in blue and gray would watch in amazement as this one young Confederate soldier gave a few moments of comfort to the men he had been firing at not that long before. The battle would resume when he went back over the wall and stop when he returned to his mission of mercy with more water for those he was ministering to. The canteens he carried were those of his fellow Confederate soldiers who were moved to help their blue clad enemy. He carried no gun because of the number of canteens and carried no white flag because of concerns the Union troops would misunderstand his appearance on the battlefield as a desire by the Confederates to talk.
Once his mission was over, he resumed his post ready for the battle to resume.

Republicans eye legislative fix as Trump ends DACA

“The Congress is going to have to up its game,”
Graham said, urging congressional colleagues to work with them – and the
president to “get involved personally” by working the phones.
Durbin said the "countdown to deportation" sets a clear timetable for lawmakers to act.
Congressional Republicans indicated
Tuesday they will take up the Trump administration's call to consider
legislation to replace the Obama-era DACA program, though condemnation
from Democrats over the decision to end it points to a heated battle
ahead.
In a show of unity, Sens. Lindsey
Graham, R-S.C., and Dick Durbin, D-Ill., spoke to reporters about their
push for a bipartisan "Dream Act"-style bill Tuesday afternoon.
Durbin said the "countdown to deportation" sets a clear timetable for lawmakers to act.

INTRODUCTION BY DAVID HOROWITZ: And I wanted to say that Robert Spencer is a very special person. He created Jihad Watch, which is part of our arsenal to defend our civilization against its enemies without and within who are very numerous.
I want to thank Joyce for bringing Robert to us and for supporting him while he’s part of our universe.
The reason you don’t see a lot of Robert is he lives on the East Coast. So this is a special day. Robert is special in two ways. First of all, he’s one of the most courageous individuals on the right.

Top 10 leftist groups wreaking havoc across U.S., sabotaging Trump
Via Billy
So America elected Donald Trump as president and you thought it was finished with the likes of Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, leftist billionaire George Soros and radical socialists hellbent on destroying the U.S.?
Not so fast! The nation is now seeing an explosion of coordinated anti-Trump “resistance” in a fierce, multi-front war on President Trump and America. And a WND investigation has found many groups leading the “Trump resistance movement” have the fingerprints of Soros, Clinton and Obama all over them.
The left has mobilized in a new surge of activism since Trump’s presidential campaign and election. “Resistance” groups – many with the help of Soros and Clinton – are flooding Democratic candidates with volunteers, financial aid and new energy. They’re mobilizing in opposition to President Trump and organizing to help Democrats take control of the U.S. House of Representatives in 2018.
Activists are launching vicious “hate” campaigns and boycotts against conservatives, loudly disrupting GOP town-hall events and even stalking Republican congressmen by showing up at their homes.

North Korea: Putin warns of planetary catastrophe/ further sanctions would be ‘useless’
Via Billy
The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has warned that the escalating North Korean crisis could cause a “planetary catastrophe” and huge loss of life, and described US proposals for further sanctions on Pyongyang as “useless”.
“Ramping up military hysteria in such conditions is senseless; it’s a dead end,” he told reporters in China. “It could lead to a global, planetary catastrophe and a huge loss of human life. There is no other way to solve the North Korean nuclear issue, save that of peaceful dialogue.”

Heroes and What They Do
Via Mike "This is the best description of Harvey’s aftermath I’ve read. It came from Facebook forwards and is perhaps as good a response as any to the Asheville Citizen Times' historically ignorant and morally arrogant editorial recommending taking down Asheville's statue of Governor Vance and other Confederate monuments. In their zealous enthusiasm for stirring up destructive historical ignorance and misinformed malice, they have lost touch with honor. It is time we restored our sense of honor and appreciation for forgotten past heroism and the remarkable heroism now being shown by ordinary folks just doing what heroes do.The Author of this timely insight on heroism is unknown. but deserves public gratitude"
"Hundreds and hundreds of small boats pulled by countless pickups and SUVs from across the South are headed for Houston. Almost all of them driven by men. They're using their own property, sacrificing their own time, spending their own money, and risking their own lives for one reason: to help total strangers in desperate need.
Most of them are by themselves. Most are dressed like the redneck duck hunters and bass fisherman they are. Many are veterans. Most are wearing well-used gimme-hats, t-shirts, and jeans; and there's a preponderance of camo. Most are probably gun owners, and most probably voted for Trump.
These are the people the Left loves to hate, the ones Maddow mocks. The ones Maher and Olbermann just *know* they're so much better than.
These are The Quiet Ones. They don't wear masks and tear down statues. They don't, as a rule, march and demonstrate. And most have probably never been in a Whole Foods.
But they'll spend the next several days wading in cold, dirty water; dodging gators and water moccasins and fire ants; eating whatever meager rations are available; and sleeping wherever they can in dirty, damp clothes. Their reward is the tears and the hugs and the smiles from the terrified people they help. They'll deliver one boatload, and then go back for more.
When disaster strikes, it's what men do. Real men. Heroic men. American men. And then they'll knock back a few shots, or a few beers with like-minded men they've never met before, and talk about fish, or ten-point bucks, or the benefits of hollow-point ammo, or their F-150.
And the next time they hear someone talk about "the patriarchy", or "male privilege", they'll snort, turn off the TV and go to bed.
In the meantime, they'll likely be up again before dawn. To do it again. Until the helpless are rescued. And the work's done.
They're unlikely to be reimbursed. There won't be medals. They won't care. They're heroes. And it's what heroes do."
