Silver Shadow has officially unveiled the double barreled AR-15. The Gilboa Snake has two barrels that are fired simultaneously, essentially double tapping on a single trigger pull. It will be available in both semi-automatic (two rounds per trigger pull) or full auto. The rifle, with its two 9.5″ barrels, weighs 9.4 lbs.

ReplyDeleteThanks, I just drooled on my keyboard. Now if only someone would make an AK.
ReplyDeleteDrool away!:)
ReplyDeleteSorry, but I've got to say "meh..."
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid I just don't see the point.
There's no way to zero both barrels and the BGs aren't likely to mass together enough for this to matter a whole lot.
Better off working on fast mag-changes and putting your bullets out one at a time.
It's a cute, expensive toy and will no doubt sell to those who value such things, but the reality is that it's nothing more than a novelty.
All that said, there are "kits" out there in which one mounts two AKs then fires them by cranking a handle. I think that would be the bee's knees... Add a couple of 100 round drums and some tracer ammo and you might just have yourself some drone-medicine...

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely, I'd go for that.
