The Sound of Silence

Nordine Amrani

Our Dutch correspondent H. Numan has some thoughts on this week’s massacre in Liège, and its aftermath.

The Sound of Silence
by H. Numan

A few days ago Nordine Amrani decided he wanted to have an eternal sex party with 72 virgins (or a virgin of 72, remember the Muslims read from right to left). So he bombed and shot himself into paradise, taking as many infidels with him as possible. According to the ‘religion of peace’, all infidels killed during a jihad are forever the slaves of their killer in paradise. Just don’t say it out loud, that is not politically correct.

Have you ever heard of a Christian, Shintoist or Buddhist going on a killing spree to earn himself a place in paradise? I haven’t. Mohammedans are always very keen to point out extremist Christians attacking an abortion clinic. It shows Christianity has blood on its hands. True enough, this happens. Fortunately, rarely. For each Christian attack there are at least a couple of hundred Mohammedan attacks. Two wrongs doesn’t make something right, however it seems that having a tiny drop of blood on your finger is far worse than having blood dripping of your entire body. Or so Mohammedans seem to believe.

We are all very much aware of the many attacks by politically correct people. So many that newspapers all over the Western world stop describing who actually committed a serious crime. They normally leave out any detail giving you a clue to the ethnicity or the religion. A “citizen of Liège” or a “Belgian national” would normally suffice. People might get the wrong idea, otherwise.

Suppose all you read in the newspapers was: ‘Muslim assaulted Belgian’; ‘Muslim rapist’; ‘Muslims gang-bangers’; ‘Muslims offended’. People would likely, and rightly, vote for parties who would do something about that. Such as the PVV in The Netherlands or N-VA or Vlaams Belang in Belgium.

By not referring to the ethnicity or religion you can only guess. Something you’d rather not, due to lack of evidence. Of course you know for 99.9% certain the article is talking about Mohammedans. If only because the newspapers do occasionally slip up: if a non-politically correct person commits a crime, all details are given. As if the newspapers are proud to say: See? Not all rapes, assaults, muggings, killings or other crimes are committed by Muslims only!

I’m not writing anything new here; this has been going on for years already. But there is something new in this case. Mr. Nordine Amrani wasn’t Mr. Nice Guy. He had a criminal record thicker than a Koran. There are already three hyenas’ lairs lawyers at work to tell you this scumbag was in real life a pillar of society or someone with a disturbed childhood. There must be a lot of money to be made here, or so it seems. Mr. Nordine lived his life on the dole but could afford to have no less than three lawyers working for him after his death. How could he afford them? Perhaps something worthy of a thorough investigation?

No, that is not new either. This is: the sound of silence. Less than a week ago this massacre happened. Today just about nothing in the news. The only part of the massacre you hear about are the parents of the toddler who was killed. They can’t afford a funeral. That is the big news of the day. Not the massacre. And no, this has nothing to do with his religion. The fact that he shouted Allahu Akhbar is purely coincidental.

I really wonder what the mainstream media are going to do when the proverbial dung really hits the ventilator. Oh, we may find out soon enough: according to some sources the Al Quackies are planning not a white but a Koran-green Christmas in Amsterdam this year…

Three from Tareece: Drones, Tebow & Newt

High Tensions Over Drones

The US military uses 7000 airborne unmanned aircraft. These craft range in size from an insect, to a hobby RC plane which is launched like one might throw a football, to ones that are launched via runways and carry combat loads like the Predator. Most are of the spy variety, looking for intelligence, identifying targets.

This element of the ever evolving battlefield is controlled by the USA. And it is a big, important, vital piece of the American War Machine. But, the very benefit of the unmanned aircraft is becoming its Achilles Heel. While the pilot is safe, 7000 miles away from the combat lines, the system’s functional integrity and the final thought processes required in pressing that trigger mechanism have come under assault.

While we’re currently facing the news that Iran has it’s talons on a “highly secret” RQ-109, the American UAV’s have been under electronic siege for years, including a recent hack job where a ‘logging’ virus infiltrated the supposedly segregated and clean habitat at a USAF base in Nevada just in September of this year. Simple thumbdrives are again the ‘carriers’ of this virus and the seemingly inoculated USAF system has become infested with it.

“We keep wiping it off,” said a Danger Room source in an article I read. “And it keeps coming back.” That’s not what you want to hear when you speak of a virus.

Are You a Tebow-hatin’ American?

Tim Tebow—- More Hated than the Taliban???

I don’t deal with sports items too much on this blog but in this case it’s different. Tim Tebow and his very public love and appreciation of Christ is apparently the big event every Sunday.
Tebow is a gifted athlete. He graduated from the University of Florida. He is just the latest and the easiest target for the Hate Christ Brigade.

I don’t know Tebow. I never followed Florida or Denver really. There is more to worry about than a kids game played by spoiled multi-millionaire idiots who burn through their money like dried mesquite.

But this is cuts to the root of what America faces. Tebow-mania and Anti-Tebow-ism are symptomatic of the divide in our nation right now. America is in such a decline that an individual is ridiculed for his public display of appreciation for God’s gift.

Love Affair with Newt

The love affair with Newt

I have to admit, I am a kool-aid drinker. I thought Newt Gingrich was an awesome guy and knew the lessons of history. I was kinda even glad he had supplanted Romney as the frontrunner in the race for the GOP nomination.

Then I saw his past flip flops and his different takes on the same subject sometimes only separated by mere months. His Libya stance comes to mind there.

Newt Gingrich was a hero of mine. Led the GOP back to House rule for the first time in 40 years in 1996. To put it in perspective, the Republicans were the minority in the house for almost 20% of the republics existence. 40 years in a row. Let that just fester in your head for a while. Think there is no comparison between those Elephants and today’s??? Look at the players. Look at what was being debated. Look them up. Seriously.

The Night 2 Lions Attacked Harry Wolhuter in the Sabi Game Reserve 1903

Via The Dorkfish Express

In August 1903, Wolhuter, new to his game ranging duties, was returning from a patrol along the Olifants River. He was near the Lebombo Mountains on the eastern boundary of the Sabi Game Reserve when this encounter - the most terrifying in all African big - game narratives - took place.

To see an aerial map of exactly where this Wolhuter incident took place in 1903 inside the modern-day Kruger National park please click the link.

Although it became dusk very soon I continued to ride along the path - as I had often travelled that route by night during the Boer War to avoid the heat of the summer sun. I gave no thought to lions, as I had never before encountered these animals in those parts. Most of the herbage had been recently burnt off, but here and there a patch of long grass remained. While riding through one of these isolated patches I heard two animals jump up in the grass in front of me.

It was by now too dark to see, but I imagined that the animals in question were a pair of reedbuck, as this had always been a favourite locality for these antelope. I expected them to run across the path and disappear; but instead, and to my surprise, I heard a running rustle in the grass approaching me. I was still riding quietly along when two forms loomed up within three or four yards, and these I now recognised as two lions, and their behaviour was such that I had little doubt but that their intentions were to attack my horse. Although, of course, I had my rifle ( without which I never moved in the veld) there was no time to shoot, and as I hastily pulled my horse around I dug the spurs into his flanks in a frantic effort to urge him to his best speed to get away in time; but the approaching lion was already too close, and before the horse could get into its stride I felt a terrific impact behind me as the lion alighted on the horse's hindquarters.

Federal judge: Iran shares responsibility for 9/11 terror attacks

Such convenient timing. I'm sure it's just a coincidence.........

In an historic hearing in the federal courthouse in Manhattan on Thursday, U.S. District Court Judge George Daniels said he planned to issue a ruling in the coming days declaring that Iran shares in the responsibility for the 9/11 terror attacks.

“The extensive record submitted to this court, including fact witnesses and expert testimony, is satisfactory to this court,” Judge Daniels said. The court “accepts as true” the various allegations of the plaintiffs and their experts, he declared, and “will issue an order” in the coming days that Iran bears legal responsibility for providing “material support” to the 9/11 plotters and hijackers.

Rep. Steve King Backs Ariz. Sheriff Arpaio

Republican Rep. Steve King is defending Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio against Justice Department charges of committing civil rights violations against Latinos in Maricopa County.

In a YouTube video that King's office released, the Iowa congressman and social conservative disputed allegations that Arpaio has been engaged in racial profiling and carrying out strong-handed patrols along the Arizona border aimed at stopping illegal immigrants.

“I’ve been to visit his operation,” King says in the video, adding: “There is not a profiling operation that I can see.”

The Senate can use Merry Christmas, but the House can't

Via Old Virginia Blog

Almost comical

Looks like the PC police have threatened members of the House of Representatives against wishing constituents a "Merry Christmas," if they want to do so in a mailing paid for with tax dollars.

Members who submit official mailings for review by the congressional franking commission that reviews all congressional mail to determine if it can be "franked," or paid for with tax dollars, are being told that no holiday greetings, including "Merry Christmas," can be sent in official mail.

"I called the commission to ask for clarification and was told no 'Merry Christmas.' Also told cannot say 'Happy New Year' but can say 'have a happy new year' – referencing the time period of a new year, but not the holiday," said a Hill staffer who requested anonymity.

No Exit: What happens when U.S. military leaves Iraq?

Via Wes

Rock Center

When the U.S. military completes its withdrawal from Iraq, more than 16,000 people, mostly Americans and third-country nationals, will still remain working in the country. Many of the them are based in Baghdad at the largest U.S. embassy in the world. In his Rock Center debut, Ted Koppel traveled to Iraq ahead of the withdrawal to answer the question: Is America really leaving? Koppel’s report reveals that the U.S. presence – and U.S. government spending – is far from ending.

Private contractors provide security, which is necessary for anyone leaving the embassy compound. Two of the people staying behind are English language officers working for the U.S. State Department. Koppel rides in a convoy with the women to see the extraordinary security measures taken to ensure they stay safe while doing their work.

I guess we should have known...

Dedicated Dad
Verbatim Post

I've heard grown-ups say we should have known - when they passed the law - what would happen, but we ALWAYS think "it can't happen HERE..." right? Besides - they ASSURED us that it would only be used against THEM - you know, the ENEMY!

It was what Dad used to call "Oh-Dark-Thirty" - the wee hours of the morning when people are most deeply asleep. We heard a loud CRASH, and then a bunch of shouting!

I stumbled out of bed and into the hallway, struggling to focus my eyes, and was slammed to the floor by a large man who was screaming "GET ON THE GROUND! GET ON THE GROUND!

I caught a glimpse of a HUGE guy dressed like a soldier - but all in black - before my face hit the floor... Then all I saw was stars.

It seems as if it was over as quickly as it had begun. Suddenly there was silence - all I could hear was my Mother and sister, quietly sobbing. I laid there for what seemed like a very long time - afraid to move - as I didn't want to get shot!

When I finally ginned up the courage to roll over and look around, I saw Mother and Sis curled up on their sides, still quietly crying. I crawled to them to be sure they were OK, then I began calling for Papa.

"They TOOK HIM!" Mama said.

Nobody knows why.

At least, nobody who will tell US!

We went downstairs and found our little dog Spot lying in the entry-hall. He had been shot. Why would those scary people shoot a little dog? I also found Sister's kitten in our front yard - they'd stomped on his head and killed him too! Sometimes it's hard - lying to her - but I'm glad she didn't see him that way...

We tried and tried - for MONTHS - to find out where they'd taken Papa, why -- heck, even WHO had taken him! At first they wouldn't even acknowledge that they knew who he WAS, then the answer became "Security of the Homeland!"

I've grown to HATE that phrase, as it's always delivered with a sneer, and a wave of the hand to tell you to "move along" before they yell "NEXT!"

"Security of the Homeland" - What does that even MEAN?

We felt secure in OUR home - until they broke down our door in the middle of the night and took Papa away. Now we have no "security" at all!

We went to talk to some people who Momma said might be able to help, but so far nothing. The man in the fancy offices with all the books said he would LIKE to help, then something about there being no "haybees corpse" but I don't know what that means either. Our name isn't "haybee" and ... well... I don't even like thinking about a "corpse" when I think about Papa.

The man from TV was actually rude to Mama. He told her to get out, that he wasn't interested in talking about terrorists! In a way I can't blame him - I still have nightmares about those terrorists who broke into our home and took Papa away! What if they come back for Mama?! What would happen to my sister and me?!

The think I MOST don't understand is the way all the other grown-ups are acting. My sister and I have no friends any more - nobody will play with us. My best friend told me that he wasn't allowed to any more - but he doesn't understand why any more than I do.

I think they're afraid that maybe some of the bad-luck will rub off on them, and make the terrorists come back and kidnap THEIR Papa....

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SO, dear reader....

Tell me: In which country is this story set?

Is it Russia in the '50s?

1940s Germany?

ONE thing is SURE: It DAMN sure ain't Our Founders' (PBUT) Republic!

But it will likely be Amerika in 2012!

Remember: Government NEVER shrinks, and powers granted are NEVER relinquished!

They needed access to bank account data to catch "deadbeat dads." Next it was "war on drugs" and now "terrorism" isn't even needed as an excuse - we all just accept that they look at our data.

Then there's the "drones." "We're only going to use them on the border." Now they're being used all over the country, for internal/civilian "law enforcement."

These Gestapo tactics are currently (supposedly) reserved for "Al Qaeda and its affiliates."

IF That's actually true, I give it about a week before they pick up the first "lone-wolf right-wing terrorist" (read:person who just wants to be left alone).

Someday we'll have had enough and do what needs to be done to take back our Republic.

Just saying so probably just earned ME a trip to Guantanamo - maybe I'll see you there...

On the bright side, I hear the weather is WONDERFUL!

British Blogger Gets Computers Confiscated for Revealing Global Warming Lies

Via Moonbattery

This is getting traction in the press, so I’ve decided to make it a sticky post. I’ll add updates and links into the body of this post. New stories will appear below this one. – Anthony

The first blogger to break the Climategate2 story has had a visit from the police and has had his computers seized. Tallbloke’s Talkshop first reported on CG2 due to the timing of the release being overnight in the USA. Today he was raided by six UK police (Norfolk Constabulary and Metropolitan police) and several of his computers were seized as evidence. He writes:

After surveying my ancient stack of Sun Sparcstations and PII 400 pc’s, they ended up settling for two laptops and an adsl broadband router. I’m blogging this post via my mobile.

That means his cellphone. In his blog report are all the details. including actions in the US involving WordPress and the US Department of Justice. Jeff Id at The Air Vent also has a report here.

Strange and troubling that they’d seize his computers for comments dropped onto a US service (wordpress.com) from the cloud. There wouldn’t be any record on his PC’s of the event from FOIA’s placing comments, that would be in the wordpress.com server logs.

Either there’s more than meets the eye or they have no idea how the blog system works.

Groundhog Day

Via Michel

In the coming New Year, 2012, both Groundhog Day and the State of the Union
address will occur on the same day.

This is an ironic juxtaposition of events.

One involves a meaningless ritual in which we look to an insignificant creature
of little intelligence for prognostication.

The other involves a groundhog.

What Has America Become?

Roundabout via Cousin Colby

July 10, 2010

Editor,

Has America become the land of special interest and home of the double standard?

Lets see: if we lie to the Congress, it's a felony and if the Congress lies to us its just politics; if we dislike a black person, we're racist and if a black person dislikes whites, its their 1st Amendment right; the government spends millions to rehabilitate criminals and they do almost nothing for the victims; in public schools you can teach that homosexuality is OK, but you better not use the word God in the process; you can kill an unborn child, but it is wrong to execute a mass murderer; we don't burn books in America, we now rewrite them; we got rid of communist and socialist threats by renaming them progressive; we are unable to close our border with Mexico, but have no problem protecting the 38th parallel in Korea; if you protest against President Obama's policies you're a terrorist, but if you burned an American flag or George Bush in effigy it was your 1st Amendment right.

You can have pornography on TV or the internet, but you better not put a nativity scene in a public park during Christmas; we have eliminated all criminals in America, they are now called sick people; we can use a human fetus for medical research, but it is wrong to use an animal.

We take money from those who work hard for it and give it to those who don't want to work; we all support the Constitution, but only when it supports our political ideology; we still have freedom of speech, but only if we are being politically correct; parenting has been replaced with Ritalin and video games; the land of opportunity is now the land of hand outs; the similarity between Hurricane Katrina and the gulf oil spill is that neither president did anything to help.

And how do we handle a major crisis today? The government appoints a committee to determine who's at fault, then threatens them, passes a law, raises our taxes; tells us the problem is solved so they can get back to their reelection campaign.

What has happened to the land of the free and home of the brave?

Why Texas? It's not perfect, but it's well-armed

Why Austin? Because Texas has its own power grid unlike the rest of the nation. Texas can grow its own food. Texas is the energy capital of the nation and can produce natural gas, diesel, oil and even jet fuel. Texas has masses of armed patriots who own more guns than they do pairs of shoes, and that makes Texas practically impenetrable to any invading force.

For example, suppose North Korea launches an ICBM into the high atmosphere over North America and unleashes an EMP weapon that destroys nearly all electronics

This could theoretically be followed by a naval invasion of forces from Red China and North Korea, both of which suffer from too many young males that can hardly be fed and might as well be thrown at some enemy nation as cannon fodder. These forces would plow right through Southern California, with all its anti-gun laws and totally unprepared populations. Oregon would fare a lot better, thanks to the country folks who know how to live off the land, and although Seattle would be quickly overrun by enemy forces, the eastern (country) parts of Washington state would put up a fierce resistance. And any enemy forces foolish enough to try to make it into Idaho would, of course, be viciously intercepted by highly capable resistance forces that would snipe, explode and shred the enemy's supply lines, halting any advance no matter how strongly intentioned. (You do not want to mess with American rebels and patriots in Idaho, for the record.)

If some enemy force was foolish enough to try to enter Texas, they would be obliterated by a mass of Texas farmers, ranchers, National Guardsmen, law enforcement officers and ex-military men who are all locked and loaded to the hilt. That's where I feel safest, in the midst of the best-armed and most well-skilled riflemen in the country, most of which are upstanding, community-minded citizens who defend life and liberty. Texas is a fortress of determined men and women who will not, under any circumstances, willfully surrender their freedoms or their Bill of Rights.

Interestingly, Austin is also a progressive town with lots of raw foods, vegans, yoga studios and amazing artists. It's a progressive, almost liberal town, surrounded by conservative country folks who ultimately serve as a safety buffer that protects the city of Austin itself. When SHTF time comes, you can bet all the unarmed Austin residents will be begging the rural cowboys to protect them from looters and armed gangs.

That's why people who don't own guns dial 911 -- because they want men who DO own guns to arrive as quickly as possible and solve their problem.
