How President Obama Sold Out Charlie Hebdo

Officials said late Wednesday that the suspects had been identified and that two were brothers. They were identified as Said and Cherif Kouachi, 32 and 34, and Hamyd Mourad, 18. French news reports said the brothers had been born in Paris, raising the prospect that homegrown Muslim extremists were responsible.

Two years ago, a crude video against Islam was used as pretext by Islamists in various countries for riots and violence. Though that same video had nothing to do with the coordinated attack on U.S. outposts in Benghazi, resulting in the assassination of U.S. ambassador Christopher Stevens and three others, the administration claimed it did. The administration even rewrote talking points to blame an imaginary protest against the video as leading to those deaths.

Not long after, President Barack Obama spoke at the United Nations. Among good things he said, he also had this to say about people who mock Islam, such as the brave, now martyred, journalists at the satirical French publication Charlie Hebdo:

The 17-year-old girl that Prince Andrew is alleged to have had sex with is named Virginia Roberts.  She is claiming that she once received $15,000 for having sex with him…

We don’t yet have many facts on the horrific French terror attack which killed writers and cartoonists who satirized Islam.  (It may still turn out to be a false flag attack.)

However, our initial gut reaction is that every website in the world should run the new cartoon which the paper published yesterday which allegedly was the cause for the terror attack.

 Charlie Hebdo Newspaper Editor-in-Chief Stephane Charbonnier was killed today after Islamic terrorists stormed the newspaper's offices in Paris. This wasn't the first time the office came under attack after satirizing Islam and publishing cartoons depicting Mohammed. In 2011, the office was firebombed by Islamists as revenge for a cover mocking Sharia Law. In 2012, the office was threatened for publishing cartoons depicting Mohammed without clothing.

Tyler PD: 'Stand your ground' laws may be raised in Walgreens shooting case

Police have identified a person involved in a weekend fatal shooting in Tyler and released new details in the case.

Fredy Neal, 65, of Tyler, was the shooter in the Saturday incident at Walgreens. Michael Caldwell was killed during the incident.

Investigators were told Saturday that Caldwell and his girlfriend were asked to leave IHOP at about 9:15 a.m. at Highway 64 west and Loop 323, after they caused a disturbance in the restaurant.

Tyler police were then called by a driver who stated that a male and female were out in traffic and looked as if they were going to get hit because the male was chasing cars on foot at Highway 64 west and Loop 323. Tyler police were en-route to the area to investigate.

Caldwell and his girlfriend then entered the Walgreens where they were also being disruptive, according to police.

Caldwell approached Neal outside of the store in the parking lot. He got into a verbal altercation with Neal as Neal was attempting to use the Red Box. Caldwell became more agitated with Neal as he attempted to keep Caldwell away from him.

Neal then pulled out a handgun and after several attempts to keep Caldwell from assaulting him, he shot him once in the chest.

Two more anti-Bill de Blasio plane banners flew over the Hudson on Tuesday.

The banners, according to a press statement by the group “Retired NYPD for a Safe New York,” are being flown past the city as part “of an organized campaign…to support the brave men and women protecting our streets, while protesting the glaring, dangerous disregard that Mayor de Blasio demonstrates toward the realities of public safety and those who protest our streets in particular.”

“We’re speaking as retired police officers,” a retired NYPD captain told The Daily Caller. “I think the message speaks for itself.”

Boehner Moves To Punish Dissenters, Despite Past Statements

Speaker of the House John Boehner is apparently punishing Republicans who voted against his re-election Tuesday, despite previously saying he would not do so.

Reps. Daniel Webster and Richard Nugent are both losing their seats on the House Rules Committee, Politico reported Tuesday evening. Both Florida Republicans voted for Webster instead of Boehner earlier in the day.

Such moves seem to contradict recent statements made by Boehner and his office.

Asked last week if any Republicans who voted against Boehner would be punished, spokesman Michael Steel told The Daily Caller by email: “Boehner has said publicly that there will be no retribution for ‘no’ votes.”

Politicians of all political stripes stopped taking the high road as soon as they arrived in the safe territory where their constituents could do nothing about their going along to get along trek through public office.

They are comfy in the knowledge that people are more interested in reading about which winter storms are headed their way; when Ebola will return to the radar; how Prince Andrew will wiggle himself out of the current pedophile scandal.

Politicians care not a whit about the disdain from the people who voted them in.  They are basking in the convenient ‘likes’ that come from Facebook as they continue to feather their own nests.

Albuquerque police officer Lou Golson was shot by a motorist during traffic stop. According to criminal complaints, Golson suffered a gunshot wound in the abdomen. A gunshot to the chest and two other gunshots to his left side did not penetrate his bullet proof vest, the complaint said. However, Golson broke a left femur and suffered a broken wrist during his fall.

The Viet Cong (VC) and the North Vietnamese Army (NVA) always knew when the B-52’s were coming. 

We had to find out how.

The Missions:
 
Those who served in South Vietnam know that Strategic Force B-52 bombers were used intensively within South Vietnam in support of Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MACV) tactical objectives. The iron bomb strikes were used both on pre-planned missions and on targets of opportunity and were collectively named Arc Light missions. The bombers flew from bases both on Guam and Okinawa and each B-52 was capable of carrying 110 bombs of the 750 pound category.

The missions were invariably flown at altitudes above 30,000 feet where the planes were virtually unseen from the ground and inaudible to the naked ear. A network of ground control radar installations using a technique that was named Sky Spot was capable of bringing US air power to bear anywhere in South Vietnam with a very high degree of accuracy. A single B-52 put down a carpet of bombs approximately 600 meters wide by 1000 meters in length literally obliterating everything on the ground within that area.

Compromise:
 
It was also widely known that many Arc Light missions were compromised in some fashion – the troop concentrations, their primary objectives, were simply gone from the target areas by the time the bombs were dropped and detonated.

Manipulation:
 
Almost invariably, Bomb Damage Assessment (BDA) ground-reconnaissance missions were inserted into the target areas to determine success or failure of Arc Light missions and almost invariably they found few if any casualties in the target areas throughout the entire war.
