70 protest alleged 'maternal hotel' in Chino Hills

Via The Feral Irishman

Fools, as they allow Mexicans to flow across the border with no concern.  Just amazing.

Some 70 people picketed a busy city intersection on Saturday protesting what they say is an illegal Chinese maternity operation.

Brightly colored signs reading "Not in Chino Hills" and "No Birth Tourism" decorated the intersection of Peyton Avenue and Chino Hills Parkway for more than two hours.

It was the first protest by the group Not In Chino Hills, which was organized just two weeks ago.

"Chino Hills is a nice family oriented town. We don't want a maternal hotel that is a business in a residential area," said Rossana Mitchell, one of the group's organizers

"And there's the moral issue," said Mitchell, a 22-year resident of the city.

"My father came to this country from Peru and left us all (eight children) until he earned enough money to get us visas to come here legally, said Mitchell, who became a U.S. citizen at age 17.

"All of us (children) worked in the system and have done really well. There are three doctors among the siblings, said Mitchell, who is a family law attorney in Chino Hills.

His cult of personality mesmerizes those who cannot go beyond their ignorance. They will continue to follow him like those fools who still praise Lenin and Stalin in Russia.  Obama's fools and Stalin's fools share the same drink of illusion, says Xavier Lerma in this article, Obama's Soviet Mistake, at Pravda.

art-link-symbol-small-rev01.jpg The Holocaust brings to mind visions of docile and helpless Jews being led to their demise in gas chambers, not visions of determined Jews fighting to defend their homes against German aggressors. Why did so few resort to violence to save themselves? For a Jew caught up in the Holocaust, there were many factors to consider, says Ian McCollum in this article, An Inquiry into the General Lack of Violent Jewish Resistance to the Holocaust, at A Human Right. This is a must-read, the reasons cited may not only be surprising but valuable to know in the future.

The accrued expense of Medicare and Social Security alone—and most of it is Medicare—is half the economy each and every year.  Put that in your head and consider that this would mean that just to keep even we would have to more than triple the existing amount of tax collected, raising total taxation to more than 60% of the economy!

Here is what I am doing for the rest of the year—working with every manager in my company so that as of January 1, 2013, none of our employees are working more than 28 hours a week.   I think most readers know the reason—we have got to get our company under 50 full time employees or else I am facing a bill from Obamacare in 2014 that will be several times larger than my annual profit.

An October 2011 Gallup poll reports nearly half of Americans have at least one gun in the home. The same report states that support for a handgun ban is at an all-time low. Women's gun ownership is the highest it has ever been. In just 10 years, female firearm ownership has doubled... Even 40 percent of Democrats polled by Gallup say they own a firearm.

Diversity - Given the self-segregation on many campuses evident in race-based fraternities, clubs, dorms, graduation ceremonies, eating and socializing areas, and courses in ethnic studies programs devoted to the culture minority students presumably already know and supposedly can share with their white classmates, there are not many "educational benefits" moving in either direction.

Excellent: How the Government Class Lives

Via WRSA

Take a ride to a welfare neighborhood some fine morning, evenings are best avoided even in the safest such places. Don't go in expecting Detroit. Even much of Detroit doesn't look like Detroit. Newark and Oakland aren't even there yet. Detroit is what happens when the load is too big and there's no one left to carry it. Most welfare neighborhoods are still located in cities where there is someone left to pick up the tab.

You'll see less charred buildings and more towering multistory housing projects. Some of these are the ugly bestial fortresses that date back to FDR's championing of affordable housing. One such monster, the Knickerbocker Village, former home of the Rosenberg spies, had to be evacuated in the recent hurricane and residents lived without heat and power for weeks.

30 years later they began to run to twenty story gray and brown towers that reek of hopelessness. When power company workers came to restore power to the Brooklyn shoreline, they were sent to these places first in the hopes of calming mob reaction. Instead televisions came raining down from the upper floors forcing the workers to flee for safety. But don't expect that to happen during your visit. That sort of thing is reserved for major holidays and power outages.

More recently the trend has been smaller homes that look almost like normal housing, except that there are too many of them lined up all in rows that go on forever, and even the red brickwork and white doors quickly darken with neglect, fumes and that intangible pollutant that comes to all places where the people have nowhere to go and nothing to look forward to.

There are businesses in the welfare neighborhood, but they aren't really independent businesses. The bodegas, cheap corner groceries stores lined with ads for cigarettes, or government ads against them, with malt liquor ads and posters for a local performance by a rap group, Hong Kong crooner or Latin singer, get most of their business from food stamps. The bodegas, despite their name, are usually run by Indians, Koreans, Arabs or Bangladeshis. The few things they sell for real money are, in order, lottery tickets, beer and the occasional magazine.

70 years ago the small corner store was part of an economic ladder. Today it's as static as the rest of the neighborhood. Sometimes the owners make the jump to a welfare supermarket, that deals almost entirely in food stamps. Mostly though they are family businesses whose owners import some of their endless stock of cousins from the home country as unpaid labor. Sometimes the cousins marry into the family and open another one of the stores with money advanced by the patriarch of the clan, and with most of the profits going to him.

Then there are the check cashing places, where welfare checks are deposited, and money is sent home to Haiti, Mexico or Puerto Rico. These places too would dry up and go out of business without a steady supply of government money.

There are clinics, a surplus of them, running on government grants, taking in government money from their patients, and consisting of the usual uncomfortable multicultural mix of balanced groups, most of whom resent each other. There may be no supermarket in the neighborhood, no store that sells fresh fruit and vegetables, no bank or clothing store that sells anything more upscale than t-shirts and sneakers, but there will be several clinics specializing in every conceivable illness a local could come down with. And several that they can't.

Of the few independent businesses in the area, there will be a restaurant or two, cheap and dirty, where families troop in at night and old men sit during the day, there will be churches that young people rarely go to, and there will be 99 cent stores selling things for more than that. There will be schools, large buildings, and a variety of community centers, day care centers, libraries, prep places for students; all funded by the government. There will be places for teens to sit playing video games after they leave school, full of inspiring posters about achievement. And there will be social workers to help residents fill out forms for more benefits.

Take away government benefits and the welfare neighborhood would become Detroit.

Firefighter fired for installing Barack Obama toilet paper in firehouse bathroom

So?  Sue them.

A Florida firefighter is out of a job after putting toilet paper with President Barack Obama’s face in his fire department’s bathroom.

Clint Pierce, who admitted placing the Obama toilet paper in the restroom as a “gag,” had until 5:00 p.m. Friday to turn in his badge after the city of Pompano Beach, Fla. determined his joke was a disrespectful repeat offense, according to a report from the Sun Sentinel.

The Oct. 19 incident marked the third time Pierce brought political props onto city property, after he was told to stop.

Rep. Jackson Lee: “Who wants to make a fuss about Social Security & Medicare When They’re solvent?”

VERBATIM

I admit that I am biased in writing this. Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (D-TX) has to be one of the most ridiculous representatives of the people of Texas I’ve ever seen. Last week, she once against demonstrated just how ridiculous she is referenced both Social Security and Medicare as “solvent” and wondered what all the fuss was about.

According to the Social Security’s trustees, the federal program has been operating in the red for the past two years. How’s that for solvent Rep. Jackson Lee?

She said on the House floor that the Republicans have a “frivolous perspective” on the fiscal perspective.

“So rather than take, if you will, a frivolous perspective on this, rather than tell people that you can’t do anything before 2013, rather than suggest that entitlements are laid upon the table, on the altar as a sacrifice, just tell the American people the truth,” she said. “Let’s just tell them the truth.”

“Entitlements is not the issue,” Jackson Lee continued. “And if so, cool heads can sit down and engage the American people and tell us how many seniors in nursing homes do we want to throw out in the street? What options do they have?

“Maybe we can begin to talk about home care,” the Texas representative said. “That’s okay, but you don’t talk about home care overnight.

“So, you have to be deliberative,” she continued. “And then who wants to make a fuss about Medicare when it’s solvent until 2024? Again, abusing the information given to the American people.”

Rep. Jackson-Lee said, “Who wants to make a fuss about Social Security when it’s solvent, and it’s about, You earned it?”

She went on to ask, “And then who wants to make a fuss about Medicare when it’s solvent until 2024?”

According to an April 2012 report from the Social Security and Medicare Board of Trustees the program ran deficits for 2010 and 2011 and that the federal government needed to borrow more money, which would increase the national debt.

“Social Security’s expenditures exceeded non-interest income in 2010 and 2011, the first such occurrences since 1983, and the Trustees estimate that these expenditures will remain greater than non-interest income throughout the 75-year projection period,” the report said. “Redemption of trust fund assets from the General Fund of the Treasury will provide the resources needed to offset the annual cash-flow deficits.”

Sheila Jackson-Lee continues to demonstrate why she should never hold office, nor should anyone that thinks like her. She doesn’t know what solvency is and therefore is incapable of understanding the issue in order to correct it. The people of her district should really be ashamed of themselves for electing such a person to represent them.

Get the Message Out

Every time that I get a Lincoln $5 bill, I am reminded how our nation stated its downward spiral away from the Constitution. Since my laser can make rubber stamps, I decided to get the message out concerning the beginning of tyranny in the United States.

An excerpt from MR. LINCOLN GOES TO WAR THE REASONS BEHIND LINCOLN’S DECISION TO WAGE WAR ON THE CONFEDERACY h/t Brock Townsend

Before hostilities began, Colonel Baldwin was selected to carry out a private mission, at the direction of the Virginia Secession convention. His instructions were to meet with Abraham Lincoln in April 1861 and negotiate a peaceful settlement. The South was not anxious to go to war and sought to diffuse the schism between the two regions. The deck was stacked heavily in favor of the North – their population was at least three times that of the South; the North had a decided manufacturing advantage; the North a government, army, navy, etc. Colonel Baldwin found out first hand that there was one issue where Lincoln would not compromise – taxes!

Lincoln greeted him as follows: “Well, I suppose this is Colonel Baldwin of Virginia? I have hearn of you a good deal, and am glad to see you. How d’ye, do sir?” Colonel Baldwin presented his note of credential or introduction, which Lincoln read,
sitting upon the edge of the bed, and spitting from time to time on the carpet.”

Tea Party vs. Progressive Republicans — Battle for the Soul of the GOP

Country Tea Party/The Founders Would Have Been Done By Now

Since Nov. 6, there has been no shortage of opinions as to why challenger Mitt Romney and the Republican Party failed to ouster President Barack Obama.  Pre-election divisions in the Republican Party between moderates and conservatives have only widened since Romney’s defeat and the party’s strategy for the future remains unclear, a source of contention and heated internal & external debate.

Specifically, many now wonder what the sobering 2012 election results means for the right-leaning Tea Party, the champions of personal freedom and smaller government who exploded on the political scene in the 2010 midterm elections.  The re-election of a progressive like Barack Obama would seem to signal the end of the conservative Tea Party, but the movement’s conservative leaders insist that last month’s election results only vindicate the group’s message.

“The Tea Party is not a political party; it’s an informal community of Americans who support a set of fiscally conservative issues,” says FreedomWorks’ Matt Kibbe.  “And when you take a look at the roster of new fiscal conservatives being sent to Congress next year, it’s clear our issues are winning.”

China’s Coming Crash Threatens U.S. Economy, Security

A new online briefing from a high-level panel of experts, including a former director of the CIA, unmasks the growing threat posed by an increasingly troubled China.

After 30 years of annual GPD growth of up to 10 percent, the world’s most populous nation is facing mounting economic challenges that could have a significant impact on the United States as well.

The bottom line of the panel discussion: China’s economy is at serious risk – and the entire world will feel the blow both economically and even militarily.

“I spend as much time fretting about Chinese failure as I do about Chinese success, about China being weak as opposed to being strong,” says panelist Michael Hayden, former director of the Central Intelligence Agency and a retired 4-star general.

LIGNET.com, Newsmax’s global intelligence and forecasting service, gathered the experts to discuss the future of China and the “sweet and sour” U.S.-China relationship — as panelist Jon Huntsman, former U.S. ambassador to China, puts it — as new Chinese leader Xi Jinping takes the reins of power.

The 4-member panel is moderated by Frank Sesno, director of the School of Media and Public Affairs at The George Washington University and a former CNN Washington bureau chief.

The main focus was on the world’s second-largest economy and how China might respond to growing problems in sustaining its amazing growth — and the possibility of escalating tensions between the United States and China.

Ironically, the panel gathered soon after the Shanghai composite stock market hit its lowest level in 3 1/2 years.

“While it’s been an incredible 30 years, the easy part is over,” says panelist Steven Cortes, founder of the market research consulting firm Veracruz LLC and a frequent contributor on CNBC.

“The easy part was exploiting seemingly endless cheap Chinese labor. They are running out of that labor now as the demographic tide starts to turn against China. Wage costs are accelerating dramatically. They’re losing the one advantage that they’ve really exploited to an incredible degree. So what do they do next?”

Said former Utah Gov. Huntsman: “You can only take the investment-led export machine so far, and it has run its course.”

And Hayden points out that the Chinese people will tolerate the communist leadership only as long as the economy keeps growing.

Debunking Myths For Self Defense

EXCERPT

1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid, or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.

No evidence of this in any piece of literature.  The only time I’ve seen hair pulls is in girl fights and domestic violence incidents.  I’ve never heard of a stranger attack that was initiated by a hair grab or pull.

2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who’s clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing

Not true.  Clothing may be a factor in some rapists’ justification (“she was dressed like a slut.  she wanted it”), but ease of removal is not a concern.  If so, hospital patients wearing gowns would be the most raped population in the world.  So would any medical professional wearing scrubs as a uniform.  They aren’t.

3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.

True

4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is grocery store parking lots.

False.  Number one location is in or around the woman’s home.

5] Number three is public restrooms.

Really?  Wouldn’t a guy garner a little attention if he entered a woman’s restroom?

6] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don’t have to worry about getting caught.

Possible, but only in a “stranger rape”.  Most rapists are people who are familiar to the victim and the rapes occur at the victim’s home.

7] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn’t worth it because it will be time-consuming.

Partially True

8] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.

No research supporting this.

9] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you’re not worth it.

True.  Punching with keys doesn’t cause much damage and usually hurts the puncher as well.

POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:

1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: can’t believe it is so cold out here, we’re in for a bad winter. Now that you’ve seen their faces and could identify them in a line- up, you lose appeal as a target.

Maybe, but no guarantee.  A better option is to be more forceful and direct in ordering him to get away.

2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they’d leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.

Good advice…but most effective against strangers.

3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.

No.  Keep it hidden until you use it.  If you pull it out and threaten me with it, I’ll cover my eyes, move in and take it from you.

4] If someone grabs you, you can’t beat them with strength but you can do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh – HARD. One woman in a class  this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.

Doesn’t work if the rapist has a diminished pain response, is high, mentally ill, or drunk.

5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy’s parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you’ll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our
instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he’s out of there.

Not a terrible target, but not the best either.  Go for eyes or throat.

6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.

May work, but it depends on the situation

7. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won’t see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.

8 If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.

Completely false.

9. Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY.

(And better paranoid than dead.)

10. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).

Generally good, but not always.  What if there is a creepy guy in the elevator?  I had a student who was raped in the elevator of her own office building.

11. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!

Good advice.  The stat isn’t perfect, but probably pretty close.

Southern Contributions to Philosophy

George Tucker (1775-1861) is particularly interesting and unusual among 19th-century American philosophers. An attorney and Congressman from Virginia, Tucker had a bent towards original thinking, which he expressed in a range of literary genres. He wrote the first biography of Thomas Jefferson, one of the first major histories of the United States, the first science fiction novel about the moon (Volume 3 in this collection), and the first southern US novel. He also wrote several influential books in economic thought and was a vocal opponent of slavery.

While in Congress, he published a collection of essays on philosophical and political subjects, which attracted the attention of Jefferson who subsequently appointed him as the first professor of moral philosophy at the University of Virginia. Tucker believed that the state of philosophy in the United States was largely undeveloped and he attempted to address this deficiency. Near the end of his life he published a collection of pamphlets, lectures and essays on philosophy that he had written throughout his career. His essays grapple with many of the central problems of philosophy

==============================

Author Henry C. White of the University of Georgia relates below that: “Deep thinkers were the men of the plantations; wide readers, keen observers and profound reasoners.” Not accustomed to widely publish their thoughts on great philosophical topics, their views were usually “disseminated through oral discussion with friends and neighbors and hospitably-received visitors from abroad upon the great patriarchal estates, by voluminous correspondence, by family teaching, and in the schools and colleges…..manned by instructors of the same modest and retiring type.”

Bernhard Thuersam, Chairman
North Carolina War Between the States Sesquicentennial Commission
www.ncwbts150.com
"The Official Website of the North Carolina WBTS Sesquicentennial"

Southern Contributions to Philosophy:

“And yet, if the aim of the highest philosophy be the apprehension of the fundamental and eternal principles of governing right living and determining the relations of man to God, his neighbor and Nature, the ideals of conduct exemplified by the men of the South in their individual lives and their social relations, born of their close observation and thoughtful reasoning and commended to their children and their immediate communities, must have had an influence upon current local thought and upon the development of the communal life even greater than that which would have been afforded by technical investigation and publication, no matter how profound.

It is not contended, by any means, that exemplary living was universal throughout the South, nor is it denied that its peculiar social institutions involved something of evil to all concerned and something of injustice in the classification of peoples’ consequent thereon.

But all observers are agreed that, from its early settlement to the time when its intellectual energies were absorbed in the great political disputes which led to the War of Secession, the thought of the South and its communal spirit were directed and dominated by the quiet and profound thinkers of the great plantations and the superb examples of ethical living which they afforded. Perhaps, therefore, the noteworthy and peculiar contribution of the South to philosophy in its early history was the creation and the fine effort at realization of high ideals of human conduct based upon the essential and immutable principles of truth, equity and justice.

The great teachers of the schools and colleges of the South of the period, many of whom, after the fashion of the times, were clergymen as well, held to these ideals and exalted them in the estimation of their pupils and thus, although contributing but little to the literature of philosophy, they impressed upon the community at large a truly philosophic mode of thought which subsequently became creative and now bids fair to become highly and richly productive.

The various philosophical movements in America became sectionalized in their broader aspects, the North standing for idealism, while the South stood for materialism and the middle West for the philosophy of common sense. [The] earlier writers of the South were some whose works are worthy to rank as original and valuable contributions to the technical literature of philosophy. The Essays, Moral and Philosophical, of the brilliant and versatile George Tucker (1775-1861), the biographer of Thomas Jefferson and for many years professor of philosophy at the University of Virginia, contain, among many other reflections which are valuable, a treatment of the Will which is strikingly original and suggestive.

Other native materialists of the South [were] Joseph Buchanan (1785-1812)….,another early materialist was Thomas Cooper (1758-1840)….,another was Frederick Beasley (1777-1845), who was born in North Carolina…., John Berry Gorman (1793-1864) of South Carolina….Thomas Lanier Clingman (1812-1897) of North Carolina….Another type of contribution of this period which should be taken into account….is furnished by writers of the character of Joseph LeConte and Nathaniel Southgate Shaler, some of whose works are more philosophic than scientific.”

Doomsday Preppers are Socially Selfish

Dingdong

She got taken apart in the comments, so pulled the piece, got reamed for that, then put it back up with a SYOA letter. Heh.:)

First, an admission:  I have ignored National Geographic’s The Doomsday Preppers since it debuted in February. There are lots of ‘reality’ shows out there (I am personally fond of Top Chef and Project Runway), but being in the business of dealing with disasters on a regular basis, watching it seemed like a busman’s holiday – and a ‘way-over-the-top’ one at that.

What drew it to my attention was my friend David Burns, CEM.  David has lots of experience in emergency management and response and my respect forever, even if there have been times we disagree on the details.  For example, I passed on an offer from the producers of the History Channel documentary “After Armageddon” in early 2010 and recommended they talk to David.  David had the best line in the final cut:  he said “We’re gonna die and there isn’t a whole lot we can do about it.”  Blunt, but brilliant.
(BTW: You can still buy that video or watch it on YouTube.)

Doomsday Preppers took the concept and made it a reality show, with real people talking about how they are preparing for their own personal vision of a catastrophe. It is the highest rated show EVER on the National Geographic channel – beating such offerings as Border Wars and Dog Whisperer.

Mayor Bloomberg Orders Raid on Occupy Sandy Disaster Relief Shelter

Via Hype And Fail

VERBATIM

In the response to hurricane Sandy, Occupy Wall Street supporters have shown that voluntary, decentralized mutual aid is far more effective than government programs and agencies like FEMA.
At one point, pictures were taken of occupy sandy volunteers feeding FEMA workers who couldn’t even find supplies for themselves.

Now, super villain and globalist Mayor Bloomberg in New York is thanking them for their service to the community by ordering a raid and eviction on a shelter that they have helped set up and have been using as a base of operations.

For some background information on this case, this message was posted to the occupy wall street website just a few days before:
“This Friday morning Staten Island police representing the mayor’s office have threatened eviction action against the crucial Staten Island hub at 489 Midland Avenue, in the heavily hit Midland Beach area.
Aiman Youssef, a 42-year-old Syrian-American Staten Islander whose house was destroyed in the hurricane, has been running a 24/7 community pop up hub outside his property at 489 Midland Avenue since the day after the storm.
He and a coalition of neighbors, friends and community members are serving hot food and offering cleaning supplies, non-perishables, medical supplies, and clothing to the thousands of residents who are still without heat, power, or safe housing.
This popular hub is well-run, well-staffed, and has a constant hum of discussion, support, and advice as well as donations and pick ups and volunteer dispatch through another pop-up group, volunteers who call themselves “The Yellow Team.”
This approach that Occupy Wall Street has been taking, of competing with inefficient government monopolies, is a strategy called agorism.

Recently i wrote an article about how Occupy Wall Street has been adopting this approach in a lot of their recent projects.
This strategy is so effecti
ve and makes the government look so incompetent and obsolete that it is no surprise that they are showing this kind of force to preserve the false legitimacy of their monopolies.

Occupy Wall Street outshining FEMA in the wake of a natural disaster is reminiscent of actions taken by an agorist in early American history, Lysander Spooner.

Lysander Spooner was an outspoken philosopher, abolitionist, and voluntaryist during the 19th century who was not only a brilliant author and speaker, but he also started a letter delivering service to compete with the government post office, which out-shined the state monopoly until it was forced out of business.

Several people called WTAE Channel 4 Action News on Friday morning and said they got layoff notices.
"As a result of business conditions, including the negative effect of the high level of tubular imports (many of which we believe to be unfairly traded), we are adjusting production at our McKeesport Tubular Operations. This adjustment in production will impact approximately 142 hourly employees."

Obama voters, you won! Here's your prize

Herman Cain

VERBATIM

Congratulations or something.

President Obama won the popular vote by 50.6 percent. OK, those of you that voted for him, you won. But you did not win the lottery. Here's what you won.

You won a president who wants unlimited federal spending powers with no federal debt ceiling. Would you give unlimited credit to a person who has maxed out all of their credit cards? If you say yes, then respectfully, you are a fool.

You won a president who is asking Congress to spend an additional $50 billion for unidentified projects. This would of course be the same Congress that has not passed a budget since 2009. Do you run your finances without a budget, or at least some idea of how you are going to make ends met? Well, you probably don't.

You won a president who wants to raise taxes by $1.6 trillion over 10 years, while telling you that it will help reduce the deficit. Do the math folks. That's not true. It would raise minimal revenue and cause a big decrease in employment and the creation of new jobs. All you have to do is to look at the real history of tax increases. But you see, President Obama, Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi know you don't know the history, and they figure you are too gullible to learn.

Obama voters, you won a president who is still campaigning, so he can keep using the lapdog mainstream media to tell you what he wants you to believe instead of telling you the truth. Strip away your preconceived notions about media channels that Obama told you not to watch, and you just might learn something.

You also won a coming fiscal cliff disaster, because Obama knows he can let it happen and you will agree with him that it's all the fault of the Republicans. You drank the Kool-Aid for four years, so he expects you to just keep on drinking to the very last drop.

Except, the very last drop this time will mean a lot of economic pain and suffering for a lot of families, namely, no jobs! It will mean that our nation's credit rating will most likely be downgraded again. It will also mean that gas prices will go back up and stay up, and that federal spending will continue to get bigger, while the size of our economy gets smaller.

The very last drop will also mean more turmoil in the rest of the world, because of the continued loss of respect for America's economic and military strength, due to this president's inability to lead decisively and forcefully.

Obama voters, you won! But do you like the prize? Read this commentary again in two years and let me know. God willing, I will still be here writing, on the radio and TV explaining what I have been saying for the last four years.

Maybe some of you will wake up.

High Noon Showdown

December 3, 2012

The final vote on whether or not to ratify the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities is scheduled for noon on Tuesday, December 4.

Whether our nation will continue to preserve the principles of parental rights and American self-government, or whether we will jettison these in a “symbolic gesture” of support for disabled persons around the world will be decided at that time.

We are optimistic that we will have the votes – 34 or more – to defeat the treaty. But there is too much at stake to trust to speculation.

So please remember to call your senators today, and then call them again tomorrow morning (before noon).

You can ask for their office through the Capitol Switchboard at 202-224-3121 or find their number by clicking on your state at http://parentalrights.org/states.

Here are a few things you might mention in your own words:

“I would urge the Senator to oppose giving consent to ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. This treaty would surrender the rights of parents whose children are disabled, by establishing the ‘best interests of the child’ legal standard. We already have excellent American-made law to protect persons with disabilities, and the world is already NOT following our example. It would be foolish to adopt a vehicle of international law in hopes that they will suddenly change their minds. This treaty also redefines entitlements as ‘economic, social, and cultural rights,’ which would have a tremendous impact on a host of domestic law issues.

Protect parental rights and American self-government, and reject this giant step toward socialism and government control of our families. Vote NO on the CRPD.”

We will be watching and listening very closely, and we will alert you to the results of the vote tomorrow as quickly as we are able. We are hopeful that the news will be good – but we must all remain diligent between now and then.

Thank you for taking a moment right now and again tomorrow to call your Senators to oppose this dangerous treaty!

Sincerely,

Michael Ramey

N.C. - November Crimes by Suspected Illegal Aliens

NCFIRE
We have posted the latest monthly issue of the North Carolina Crime Report by Suspected Illegal Aliens on our website; www.NCFIRE.info. This report covers crimes by suspected illegal aliens in N.C. for the month of November. It is 117 pages long! It can be viewed online as a pdf file here: http://ncfire.info/november2012.pdf

This is not ALL of the crimes by suspected illegal aliens in N.C. and we do not report every crime, in every county, every month. This is just a random monthly sampling.

If you want immigration laws enforced in N.C., it is impreative that you attend the next N.C. House Select Committee on Immigration Policy meeting, occuring this Thursday, December 6th @ 1:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in rm. 643 of the Legislative Office Bldg, behind the General Assembly Bldg in Raleigh, N.C.

This ongoing illegal alien crime wave against N.C. citizens has got to stop. It is killing us: financially, emotionally and physically.

For things that you can do to help, please visit our website: www.ncfire.info. It costs you nothing to join and we never ask for your money!

Benghazi explained: Behind the lies

Via midnightrider

Author’s note: This is a special supplement of a multi-part interview with a government insider intimately familiar with the events that took place in Benghazi. It is important to note that the information contained in this series was developed from interviews that spanned over 100 hours. My source requested that the following information be written separately due to its importance.
DH: You told me that you wanted to talk about the lies behind Benghazi, said it is critical for everyone to understand the reason for the lies. and asked that we do this separately. Go ahead.

II: It’s about the lie, and once you understand it, it becomes extremely revealing. It’s about what the public has been told from the very beginning. Do you realize that a lot of people, especially Obama’s associates and supporters do not believe that they’ve been lied to?  Do you understand that much of the public does not believe that they were lied to? Like a lot of us, you’re in this thing so deep that we forget not everyone even believes they’ve been lied to. They’re certainly not going to hear about it in the media.

To understand how deep this goes, how important it is, and why it is so important, we’ve got to go back to the very beginning.

Think back to when we were first told that Ambassador Stevens, Sean Smith, Glen Dougherty, Tyrone Woods were killed in Benghazi. The media reported that Stevens and the others were killed in an attack on the American consulate in Benghazi. Every major media outlet identified the location of the attack as an American consulate, much like this Reuters report and this from The Washington Times. But there was no U.S. consulate in Benghazi, so where did this information originate?
