The House has re-elected John Boehner to be speaker in the new Republican-led Congress, despite opposition by tea party lawmakers that underscored party divisions.

 The Ohio Republican garnered the votes of 216 GOP lawmakers as Congress convened Tuesday. That was enough for him to win a third two-year term leading the House.

But in an embarrassing slap, 25 Republicans voted for other candidates or voted present. They consider Boehner to be too accommodating and not conservative enough.

Authorities call year-old concealed-carry law a 'non-event'

While gun violence remains a problem across Illinois, the state's year-old concealed-carry law has had no noticeable negative effect, local authorities say.

"For us, it's been a non-event," said Joe Gallo, deputy chief with Champaign police, echoing a similar sentiment as law-enforcement officials in other area counties.

When Illinois became the last state to enact concealed-carry in January, after the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals struck down its long-time ban, police expressed concerns about safety. One of their biggest fears: police interactions with licensed gun carriers during traffic stops.

Champaign County Sheriff Dan Walsh said deputies made one DUI arrest of a concealed-carry permit holder in 2014. The driver was completely cooperative, he said.

Walsh said he told his deputies when the law went into effect to let him know if they ran into any problems.

"I've yet to get one," he said.

The North’s Path to Bloodshed

“In his message of December 3, 1860, President Buchanan said to Congress, and virtually to the people of the North (p. 626 Vol. 5, Richardson):

“The long continued and intemperate interference of the Northern people with the question of slavery in the Southern States has at length produced its natural effects. I have long foreseen and often forewarned my countrymen of the new impending danger. The immediate peril arises not so much from these causes as from the fact the incessant and violent agitation of the slavery question throughout the North for the last quarter of a century has at length produced its malign influence on the slaves and inspired them with vague notions of freedom.

Hence a sense of security no longer exists around the family altar. This feeling of peace at home has given place to apprehension of servile insurrections. Many a matron throughout the South retires at night in dread of what may befall herself and children before the morning. Self-preservation is the first law of nature and has been implanted in the heart of man by his Creator for the wisest purpose. But let us take warning in time and remove the cause of danger.”

It cannot be denied that for five and twenty years the agitation of the North against slavery has been incessant. In 1835 pictorial hand-bills and inflammatory appeals were circulated extensively throughout the South of a character to excite the passions of slaves, and in the language of Genl. Jackson, to stimulate them to insurrection and produce all the horrors of a servile war. At the Presidential election in 1860 the Republican Party was greatly agitated over the Helper Book which instigated massacre.

Lincoln and Seward would not say that they were for massacre, but the Abolitionists had the vision of the X-ray and could see through such false pretenses. The doctrine of both “the irrepressible conflict” of Seward and “a house divided against itself cannot stand” of Lincoln, pointed directly to bloodshed.

The Abolitionists voted for Lincoln, and Wendell Phillips, who rejoiced at his election, said in a speech at Tremont Temple, Boston, a few days later: “There was a great noise at Chicago, much pulling of wires and creaking of wheels, then forth stept Abraham Lincoln. But John Brown was behind the curtain, and the cannon of March 4 will only echo the rifles at Harper’s Ferry.

The Republican Party have undertaken the problem the solution of which will force them to our position. Not Mr. Seward’s “Union and Liberty” which he stole from Webster’s “Liberty first” (a long pause) then “Union afterwards” (Phillips, Speeches and Lectures, pp. 294, 314).

I recently asked a friend of long standing, involved in law enforcement in California, how the state's massive immigration looked, in the streets and court rooms, to someone actually there. The following is his answer, edited only to remove identification. It is consistent with what I have seen myself, though a decade ago, and what other friends in other parts of the US report. I have put in bold type parts that seem to me indicators of what we will see in the future.

The following are my opinions based mostly on anecdotal evidence--what I've seen and heard in this area (Central California), including things told to me in some cases by deputy district attorneys thoughout this state.  I attend frequent state wide conferences wherein we are given week long seminar courses to update our knowledge and to maintain our "continuing education" required to keep our State Bar memberships current.  Where my opinion is based on provable facts, I will so note.

The future of Hispanics in California:  California will gradually revert to a Mexican/Spanish majority state, thanks both to legal/illegal immigration as well as the higher birth rate amongst that population, particularly in the lower income brackets (this is of course the case with any lower income population, which relates directly to education levels:  the higher the education, particularly of women in a population, the lower the birth rate goes).

Politicians in this state are already splitting between Hispanic (meaning mostly Mexican-Americans) and White, with a very few Asian politicians, including Indians.

Activists Hold Conference in Support of “Queer Animal Liberation”

An animal liberation group called Direct Action Everywhere recently hosted an event in which a variety of presentations were given, which included titles such as “Trickle-Up Queer Animal Liberation” and “LGBTQ and Animal Liberation.”

The video compilation, posted by Daylight Disinfectant, starts off with a young, uhh, supposedly female who talks about her kielbasa, and why she didn’t have any love for the sausage. “How could I justly seek my own liberation, while denying that to others?” she pondered. She later shows a picture of her girlfriend with a “cow”, which shows them “connecting” and the cow “really enjoying himself.” “My goal is total animal, queer, and trans liberation” she says at the end of her presentation.

Last Friday week, with famine approaching yet again, I wondered about the wisdom of forking out yet more aid to Ethiopia.

Since the great famine of the mid-1980s, Ethiopia's population has soared from 33.5 million to 78 million. Now, I do not write civil service reports for the United Nations: I write a newspaper column, and I was deliberately strong in my use of language — as indeed I had been when writing reports from Ethiopia at the height of that terrible famine.

Since dear old Ireland can often enough resemble Lynch Mob Central on PC issues, I braced myself for the worst: and sure enough, in poured the emails. Three hundred on the first day, soon reaching over 800: but, amazingly, 90%+ were in my support, and mostly from baffled, decent and worried people. The minority who attacked me were risibly predictable, expressing themselves with a vindictive and uninquiring moral superiority. (Why do so many of those who purport to love mankind actually hate people so?)

Kansas Episcopal church to host Planned Parenthood abortion ‘celebration’

A Wichita church will be hosting a celebration of abortion for Planned Parenthood.

St. James Episcopal Church will celebrate 42 years of abortion with Planned Parenthood of Kansas and Mid Missouri on January 22, 2015 for their Chili for Choice.

That’s the 42nd anniversary of legalized child killing through abortion under the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision.

According to the most recent abortion stats, in 2011, the Guttmacher Institute – Planned Parenhood’s “research” arm – reports that 1.06 million abortions were performed nationally.

Planned Parenthood’s latest stats indicate they killed 327,653 unborn children in just one year.

To “celebrate” this, Planned Parenthood is organizing events across the country.

Liberal Harvard Faculty Upset By Rising Health Insurance Costs Due To Obamacare

Faculty at Harvard University are complaining that they will have to pay more for their health insurance under Obamacare, even though overall costs to faculty remain modest and employees of the Ivy League school tend to support President Obama.

Members of Harvard’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences voted in November against changes to their insurance policies which would require them to pay more for coverage due to Obamacare, The New York Times reports.

But the vote was too late to stop cost increases from taking effect this month, leading to an uproar among some faculty.

Richard Thomas, a classics professor, told The Times the changes are “deplorable, deeply regressive, a sign of the corporatization of the university.”

We have compile the largest sample of black on white murders in 2014 that we possibly could. Because the media censors black on white crime, there are many more cases that we can not identify from limited media reports.

This list also does not include white killed by blacks, in which there is no known suspect or description of a suspect. As you can see, a huge percentage of black on white murders are random stranger killings. Random killings are the hardest to solve.

We would like to extend a special thank you to NewNation.org. This site has uncovered a lot of censored black on white hate crime/thrill kill style murders using online obituaries.

To submit a white on black murder, you can use the form at the bottom. Please check and make sure it is not someone already on the list.

To provide the most complete picture of black/white interracial violence, we are also compiling a list of white on black murders. We have issued a challenge for the public to find actual white on black murders occurring in 2014. We even issued a challenge to the SPLC, since they hype a narrative that blacks live in fear of whites. So far we have only found three white on black murders, killed by two perps, for 2014.

One white on black murder is a major national news story. Where is the outrage for the daily occurring black on white murders?

**There were numerous suspicious deaths of white females who died of drug overdoses while they were with black males. There is another case where a white female supposedly “shot herself playing Russian Roulette” with her black boyfriend. We only listed cases that were classified as murder by the authorities. We did not list cases in which a black male played an obvious role in the death, but the death was classified as accidental. There was one case of a white female being killed by a black female “ex-wife.” There are also numerous cases of a white female being shot by a black male while in the company of a black boyfriend. we did not count these as “femicide.” However, it seems that white females involved with black males are at a dramatically increased risk of being murdered by a black male in general.

***Femicide related refers to victims killed by the black boyfriend of relative or close friends. Many of these victims are young children of white females dating black males. Some are women who were attacked by the black boyfriend of a white female friend.

****We only listed cases of vehicular homicide in which the perp was committing serious crimes when they killed a victim. In several cases, the perp was fleeing from police. In two other cases, their is strong indication the perp did it on purpose.

This list is far from all black on white murders. This is just a sample. This list does not include the thousands of white victims who were seriously injured in black on white violence, only fatalities.

I can totally relate. I went there 29 years old. Marine Corps veteran working as a scumbag civillian truck driver running convoy, pumping fuel and a bunch of other stuff.

It can only be described as surreal. Those goofy care packages people sent “for the troops” full of useless crap like someone’s collection of mini shampoo from various hotels, bulk candy from the discount discount 3 months leftover after halloween. Heaped high on tables at the USO, and MWR and post office.

Didn’t people know that the troops didn’t need any more freaking soap? At least the TCN’s got clean cause they got the most of it.

Turning on TV and watching a news story about something I was just in the middle of and it was like they were reporting another event cause it was so full of crap.

Leaving the war 8 years later. I can say I am a changed person.

I was in a bit of a time warp so returning to the states the first time, the changes for the worse were so glaringly obvious. I was asking “Who let in all these Mexicans and Indians??” the first time I saw a billboard in Hindi language in Texas I was stunned, when I saw an Arabic billboard in Detroit, I was pissed off.

I can’t even relate to most people in the States now. I can imagine a job interview telling someone what I did and they just calling me a liar cause it is so far out of their experience.

I had a interview at one place back in 2007 and they actually told me that my experience over there was a useless, she said I needed extensive retraining! I started applying for jobs to go back there right afterward.

I was asking her how the hell do I need retraining when I have been thru so much training and classes in Iraq I could have taught the damn training classes myself.

New Senate chairmen aim to undo Obama's policies

Republican senators poised to lead major committees when the GOP takes charge are intent on pushing back many of President Barack Obama's policies, setting up potential showdowns over environmental rules, financial regulations and national security.

The all-GOP Congress — Republicans also have a commanding majority in the House — gives the powerful Senate committee heads a newfound opportunity to steer legislation and help shape the national debate.

With Republicans winning control of the Senate in the November election, all the committees will get new leaders, though all have been around for years.

The heads of the 13 major committees and Veterans' Affairs are some of the most senior members of the Senate. Three are octogenarians and four are in their late 70s. Only one new leader will be a woman; Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski is in line to take over the Energy and Natural Resources Committee.
