Trump Is History and So Is the USA, Paul Craig Roberts
When I read this evening in The Hill, which I mistakenly thought was a legitimate news publication rather than a weapon against President Trump and the Republicans, that the documented fact that Joe Biden and his son received between them $1,750,000 for preventing any Ukrainian investigation of the corrupt firm Burisma was mere unsupported “allegation,” and that the Trump Department of Justice had indicted two associates of Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s most fervent supporter, for “campaign finance violations,” a very elastic term, it became completely clear that Trump’s own Justice (sic) Department is part of the Deep State’s plot to destroy Trump.

The war was fought
for the Union. Whatever may have been the hopes or desires of some of
the leaders, the people of the North contended for the Union alone. No
other motive would have brought them to bear patiently the burdens of
such a strife, and to pour out their blood on a hundred fields of
battle, but that devotion to the Union which was intensified by the fear
of its destruction until love almost became idolatry. And, when they
conquered at last, they had a right to the prize they had so dearly won.
Not merely justice and consistency, but good policy pointed to the same
course. The war had swept a great part of the land with devastation,
had wasted the population, paralysed many industries, made bankrupt
eleven States, and loaded the rest with debt. The only road to renewed
prosperity, north and south, lay in healing the wounds of the past; in
such a course of action as would encourage industry, protect thrift,
restore confidence, and bring back peace over all the land.

Attorney General William Barr raised concerns about the increasing secularism in society in his recent speech on Oct. 11, speaking on how it has contributed to a number of social issues plaguing communities across the nation.

After a bump stock was used in the 2017 Las Vegas shooting, the devices were eventually made illegal. The final ban came in December 2018.
Thanks to a Freedom of Information request from The Washington Times, we can finally see how effective a government-mandated ban on a firearm device really is.
And the results aren’t pretty for anyone wanting to confiscate guns, magazines or firearm accessories from Americans.

It is also to the eternal credit of Fox that, unlike its competition on the far left — CNN and MSNBC — Fox actually airs a legitimate diversity of opinions on the issues of the day, most especially President Trump.That was not Shepard Smith. No, rather than come out of the partisan closet, rather than put on the uniform, rather than step into the arena, like way too many in our perversely corrupt news media, he chose to hide like a coward behind a shield of objective truth, a shield of capital “J” journalism, which made him a dishonorable and thoroughly despicable liar — which is why his ratings were so awful.

Black Hills Not For Sale
After conquering Americans with a scorched-earth strategy in 1865, Northern generals turned their sights on the Plains Indians who stood in the way of railroads, expanding industrialism and gold. Sherman, pressed by his mentor Grant, presided over the relocation and extermination of thousands of Indians, as well as the virtual annihilation of the wild Buffalo those Indians depended upon for food.
As Lincoln instigated his war to protect the tariff income of the US Government, Grant would do the same to retrieve prosperity at the expense of the Indians.

Black Hills Not For Sale
“Mysterious and remote . . . the Black Hills were sacred to the Sioux and – until Custer’s expedition – almost unknown to the whites, save for rumors of gold.
In 1873, a financial panic gripped the country. With the national debt over $2 billion, the Grant administration was in desperate need of way to replenish a cash-starved economy. As had been proven in California back in 1849 and more recently in the Rockies, there was no quicker way to invigorate the country’s financial system than to discover gold.
Despite the fact that it required them to trespass on what was legally Sioux land, General Philip Sheridan, commander of the Military Division of the Missouri, which extended all the way west to the Rockies, ordered Custer and the Seventh Cavalry to escort an exploring expedition from Fort Lincoln, just down the Missouri River from Bismarck, in modern North Dakota, to the Black Hills.
The supposed aim of the Black Hills Expedition of 1874 was to find a suitable site for a fort. However, the makeup of the column suggested that another, far more exciting goal was being considered. Included in Custer’s thousand-man expedition were President Grant’s eldest son, Lieutenant-Colonel Frederick Dent Grant; three newspaper reporters; a photographer; and two experienced gold miners.
Much to Custer’s surprise, the Indians proved few and far between once the regiment entered the Black Hills. On August 2, after several weeks . . . the expedition discovered gold “right from the grass roots.” Over the next hundred years, more gold would be extracted from a single mine in the Black Hills (an estimated $1 billion) than from any other mine in the continental United States.
In the beginning, the government made only nominal efforts to prevent miners from intruding on the Black Hills. But by the summer of 1875 there were so many US citizens in the region that the Grant administration decided it must purchase the hills from the Sioux. When the Sioux refused to sell, the administration had no choice but to instigate a war.”

One could argue that there are two basic visions for America: the Hamiltonian and the Jeffersonian. The former is nationalist, calling for centralized power and an industrial, mercantilist society characterized by banking, commercialism, and a robust military. Its early leaders had monarchical tendencies. The latter vision involves a slower, more leisurely and agrarian society, political decentralization, popular sovereignty, and local republicanism. Think farmers over factories.

The Time Georgia & North Carolina Went to War With Each Other

When we think of American states going
to battle with each other, our minds are immediately transported to the
dark days of the American Civil War; however, long before the bloody
tides of war ever reached Gettysburg or Appomattox, blood was being shed
in the Appalachian Mountains as two Southern States fought for an
unassuming 12-mile stretch of mountain real estate.
The origins of this long forgotten
conflict — called Walton War — between the states of Georgia and North
Carolina can be traced to the early days of the 1700s, when King George
II separated Georgia from the Carolina colony, using the Savanah River
as the east-west border and the 35th parallel as the north-south border.

Let me give you a great example. Three Sundays ago, I was busy watching NFL football when my phone rang. "Are you watching Fox News?" my buddy Lee asked. "Turn it on. It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen in politics. Go there now!"
Sure enough, Lee was right. I've never seen anything like it. I would not have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.
There was President Trump in a Houston football stadium giving a speech to 50,000 people, most of them Indian immigrants. Yes, I said 50,000. It was NRG Stadium, home to the Houston Texans. And it was full -- as if there were an NFL game going on. Trump is as popular as the NFL on a Sunday morning ... with Indian immigrants.
