How Southerners Committed Cultural and Political Suicide
Many Southerners are familiar with James “Ron” Kennedy and his brother, Walter “Donnie” Kennedy, who are prolific writers and staunch defenders of (what is left of) Southern tradition and heritage. Among the titles of their books are, most notably: The South Was Right! (newly revised edition 2020), Punished With Poverty: The Suffering South, and Yankee Empire: Aggressive Abroad and Despotic at Home…all strongly recommended to those interested in how their heritage and traditions have been subverted and devastated by the forces that dominate modern America…and how just possibly a revival of that heritage and those traditions might occur.
But only—only—if Southerners begin to understand how we reached our present disastrous state of affairs.
The task of understanding has been and is incredibly difficult. And it has much to do with the present politics of the former Confederate states and the fact that good intentions and normal reactions to adverse conditions can lead to bad results.

Here Are All the Gun Control Laws that Affect Cuba’s Freedom Protesters
Madison showed that the armed citizenry, together with “the existence of subordinate governments to which the people are attached,” provided the framework in which the people could rally to defend their lives and liberty. The people wound band together in “militias” — officers being “appointed” by those local, “subordinate governments” — and their banding together would be meaningful because the people were armed.
Madison further asserted that “ultimate authority…resides in the people alone.” All authority held by government is derived from power that is on loan from the people. That power that flows from the people and rests in the people.
As thousands of Cubans protest against the island’s communist regime, stringent gun control laws from Havana negatively impact their efforts.
Whereas in the United States, it is common parlance to say the gun rights enumerated in the Second Amendment protect the all the other rights outlined in the Bill of Rights, in Cuba the people are not allowed any claim to a natural right to keep and bear arms. This creates a disadvantage as Cubans fight for freedom.

Senior Military Officers were Actively Engaged in Disseminating Mandatory CRT Training in 2020, while Trump was still President
I just wrote this article yesterday, but I have since discovered things are even worse than I thought. Besides the West Point events noted in this article, senior military officers were actively engaged in disseminating mandatory CRT training in 2020, while Trump was still President, which included slanderous video lies about Trump, Mitch McConnell, George Bush II, the U.S. Constitution, and Republicans generally, while praising Barack Obama, Bill and Hillary Clinton, BLM leaders, and Democrats generally. Our nation and even our armed forces are being undermined by high-ranking devotees of destructive Marxist ideology.
On April 8, Republican Congressman Mike Waltz of Florida submitted a letter to the Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point, Lt. General Daryl A. Williams, outlining and documenting his concern about the indoctrination of West Point cadets on Critical Race Theory (CRT). Waltz is a VMI graduate and combat decorated former Green Beret. Although the Biden Administration, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Chairman of the JCOS General Mark Milley, and other high ranking military officers are endorsing and strongly pushing CRT, it is Neo-Marxist ideology that is blatantly anti-white, anti-Christian, anti-capitalist, and anti-family and knows no truth or moral standard but power. It runs completely counter to American military traditions and American values of liberty and free speech. Anyone outside of a madhouse can see that it is totalitarian, divisive, hateful, and a danger to public order and safety. It is notable for its unforgiving cancel culture. It is certainly a demoralizing threat to an effective military and national security. It is as close to George Orwell’s 1984, and Chairman Mao’s Cultural Revolution as rational people can imagine.
Below are some notable excerpts from Congressman Waltz’s letter to General Williams:

Graham: If Dems Try To Pass $3.5T Far-Left Wish List Then ‘Hell Yeah’ GOP Should Skip Town Like TX Dems
Sen. Lindsey Graham slammed the Democratic spending package and said on Fox News that he would flee, like the Texas House Democrats, to kill GOP-backed voting legislation. pic.twitter.com/FqprWEvZFJ

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) suggested during a Fox News interview on Sunday that Senate Republicans should leave Washington, D.C., if Democrats try to ram through a $3.5 trillion infrastructure package that many say is a leftist wish list that has little to do with infrastructure.
“But before Republicans beat up on the Democrats in Texas for leaving Texas too much, if for some reason they pass reconciliation, budget resolution, to bring that bill to the floor of the United States Senate, the $3.5 trillion bill, you got to have a quorum to pass a bill in the Senate,” Graham said. “I would leave before I’d let that happen. So to my Republican colleagues, we may learn something from our Democratic friends in Texas, when it comes to avoiding a $3.5 trillion tax and spend package, leave town.”]

Cannibalism in Africa
Via Cousin John
Dated
Cannibalism has existed in the DRC for generations and still takes place in the bush. The indigenous pygmies of the Democratic Republic of the Congo are literally being eaten out of existence. Anti-government rebel groups that hide in the jungle, particularly the Movement for the Liberation of Congo, consider the pygmies to be just animals and they hunt them for food. Others actually believe that their flesh can confer magical powers, and so they are sometimes killed for that reason as well. Due to all of the mistreatment and cannibalism, many tribes of pygmies have completely gone out of existence, and others are threatened with total extinction.

Russia said on Monday it had successfully tested a Tsirkon (Zircon) hypersonic cruise missile, a weapon President Vladimir Putin has touted as part of a new generation of missile systems without equal in the world.
The defence ministry said in a statement that the missile had been fired from the Admiral Gorshkov, a warship located in the White Sea.
It travelled at around seven times the speed of sound before hitting a ground target on the coastline of the Barents Sea more than 220 miles away, it claimed.

The Nikole Hannah-Jones debacle was all manufactured outrage
Via Cousin John
I didn't know mops came in red......
UNC's offer was acceptable - until the media stepped in
The reality is a lot more complicated.
Reasonable people can disagree about whether the UNC Board of Trustees handled the matter properly. Reasonable people can even debate whether public universities should offer tenure at all.
But the debate over Nikole Hannah-Jones’s application for tenure has been anything but reasonable. If you look closely at the timeline of events, you’ll find that the entire debacle was driven more by a media and faculty hungry to drive a wedge — and an agenda. And you’ll find that Nikole Hannah-Jones was less than forthcoming about what she knew about the situation, and when.
