President Donald J. Trump is putting the American people first.

In his first speech as President of the United States, Mr. Trump uttered the word “I” only three times — and in every instance, it was in a pledge to serve the American populous.

“The oath of office I take today is an oath of allegiance to all Americans,” Mr. Trump said.

Later, in his speech he pledged: “I will fight for you with every breath in my body, and I will never ever let you down.”

And that was it.

‘Off of welfare and back to work rebuilding our country’: Trump vows massive infrastructure spending

Moments after he was sworn in as the nation’s 45th commander in chief, President Donald Trump said he’ll get Americans “off of welfare and back to work rebuilding our country,” vowing to make massive investments in new roads, bridges, airports and other key pieces of infrastructure.

Mr. Trump didn’t offer specifics in his 17-minute inaugural address, but in the past he’s spoken of a $1 trillion infrastructure investment plan, one of the few areas he’s likely to find real common ground with at least some congressional Democrats. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, for example, has expressed support for such a plan.

The new president cast infrastructure spending as part of his broader plan to put “America first.”

Donald Trump: We will ‘eradicate’ ‘radical Islamic terrorism’ ‘from the face of the Earth’

President Donald Trump threw down the gauntlet in the fight against terrorism in his inaugural address Friday, pledging to “eradicate” “radical Islamic terrorism” from the world.

“We will reinforce old alliances and form new ones - and unite the civilized world against radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate completely from the face of the Earth,” Mr. Trump said.

Mr. Trump and other Republicans have criticized former President Obama for declining to use the specific phrase “radical Islamic terrorism” in the context of the fight against terrorist groups like the Islamic State, also known by the acronyms ISIS or ISIL.

A climate of change! Perhaps the most stark contrast between the Obama administration and the Trump administration is on “global warming”. The climate differences were visible today as the White House website was scrubbed of all references to “climate change” at exactly noon today just as President Donald Trump was sworn in.

President Trump halts new federal regulations

President Trump put a hold on all new and pending federal regulation on his first day in office Friday, with a White House memorandum ordering federal agencies to subject the regulations to review by incoming secretaries.

Rolling back federal regulation was a top campaign pledged from Mr. Trump, who promised to impose a rule that two existing regulation had to be eliminated for each new regulation created.

He has said the regulations had a stranglehold on businesses and slowed job creation and economic expansion.
