The Democrat Party Is Destroying America

The Democrat Party Is Destroying America

Dated

It’s high time Americans throw out politicians who promote mob anarchists, the destruction of law and order, and disgrace American heritage.

Hillary Clinton once said we could not be civil with a political party that wants to destroy American values. She has a point.

It’s high time Americans throw out politicians who promote mob anarchists, the destruction of law and order, disgrace American heritage, delegitimize our institutions, abuse government power, exploit past injustices, and sow division in an all-encompassing 21st century cultural revolution. Where the stakes are high, so too are the demands to save America from the tyranny of the Jacobian thought police on the cusp of a takeover of the Democratic Party pledging a radical nationwide transformation.

The Citadel Will Require All Cadets to Study Constitution

Via Dan

The Citadel, the public military college in Charleston, South Carolina, has announced it will require all cadets to complete a class on the U.S. Constitution and other founding documents beginning in the 2020-21 academic year.

The Citadel is one of six senior military colleges in the United States. Founded in 1842, its mission is to instill cadets with “the moral courage to do the right thing” so that they “become principled leaders in all walks of life.”

The Citadel’s president, retired Marine Gen. Glenn Walters, announced the new requirement July 1 in response to alumni and state legislators who asked the school to comply with a state law mandating the class. The decision by Walters to establish this requirement brings the college into compliance with state law.

STUDY: Legal Immigration To Drop By Nearly 50% Under Trump

The record-high reduction is the convergence of four immigration pathways targeted by the Trump administration: a complete shutdown of the Diversity Visa program; a 92 percent decrease in visas administered on the basis family-sponsored preferences; a 67 percent decrease in granting asylum; a 53 percent decrease in naturalizing immediate relatives of Americans; and a 71 percent decrease in extending citizenship to refugees.

The Statue in the Glade

‘Only such men could tell what once could be,Hear what we hear, see what we see.’
~~Donald Davidson, “Late Answer: A Civil War Seminar”

The wind is all but silent in the pines
Around a glade whose light comes down from fire,
Not filtered or aslant through needle, cone,
A heightened brightness passing as it stays.

And there, alone, a ghostly statue stands
Through which both beams and shadows make their way
From morning until evening, and at night
Stars twinkle down, then up, from sky and blade.

The statue is a private, dressed in gray,
Coat, musket, powder horn as though of stone,
Feet wrapped in rags, the very ground his base,
His piercing gaze fixed like a bayonet.

Now palpable in recollection’s flesh,
A solid wraith, the boy can never be
Defaced or toppled, scorched, or spat upon.
Flung paint would splatter only earth and air.

A legend on a plaque no fingers trace
Is like a graven shade, the wording worn
And in a language hard to understand
Except by those who heard it at their birth.

Beside this hidden glade the woods are still,
The trees the last of old growth longleaf pine,
Their birds those birds that winter in the South
Or stay year round in this their native place:

Rare pinewood sparrows perched on topmost limbs
Where quiet and a breeze bring them to sing,
Pine warblers sending down their liquid trills,
Nuthatches who will never leave their trees.

Who shaped a statue made of words in air?
What story does its silence have to tell?
Who now can speak the long forgotten tongue?
Who passes through a woodland’s public square?

The soldier knows humility, defeat,
Complexities of history and its myths,
Given to inwardness while others judge
Him guilty who will never judge themselves.

He did his duty, held the line, and saw
That his condition is the state of man,
Its “Ye shall be as gods” the fatal choice
That all men make and thus should understand.

Those boys who charged up Cemetery Ridge,
Then fell back with their chests toward Yankee fire
So not to be thought cowards shot from behind—
Picked off by quick repeaters on the crest.

And one slain there no bullet now tears through,
A marble specter, in and out of time,
Who gave his country all he had to give,
This boy, who knew he had not long to live,

Who died before his love became a crime.

The New York Times announced Thursday it is releasing a new podcast series titled Nice White Parents, about how white parents are preventing black and brown children from succeeding in public schools.

The podcast series, to be released July 30 from Serial Productions, will be available via Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Google.

According to the Times, Nice White Parents is “about the 60-year relationship between white parents and the public school down the block.”

Its premise is reportedly that the reason government schools are failing “black and brown kids” is due to powerful “white parents.”

UNC Prof. Mike Adams Found Dead in Home After Forced Retirement (This may well be big)

UNC WIlmington professor Mike Adams

My Two Cent Check Is Returned

Mike Adams, an outspoken conservative professor at the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, was found dead in his home on Thursday. Adams was forced to retire by administrators in July after he sparked controversy over politically incorrect tweets.

According to a local news report, conservative professor Mike Adams was found dead in his home on Thursday. Police have yet to announce a cause of death.

Breitbart News reported earlier in July that Adams had received a $500,000 settlement of the University of North Carolina, Wilmington, in exchange for his retirement.

Adams sparked a debate about political correctness in May when he tweeted a joke about North Carolina’s coronavirus lockdown policy.

“This evening I ate pizza and drank beer with six guys at a six seat table top. I almost felt like a free man who was not living in the slave state of North Carolina. Massa Cooper, let my people go!” Adams tweeted in May. The tweet set off a firestorm from students, faculty, and even celebrities that had worked on television productions in Wilmington. :) Must be a sad to go through life with no sense of humour and Mike certainly had one.

Other commissioners also spoke in strong support of keeping the statue, saying they wouldn’t support any measure to remove it. Mr. Wheatly suggested investing in a granite wall and permanent fence around the monument to protect the structure.

County commissioners and members of the public came out strongly in support of preserving the Confederate soldiers’ monument sitting on the grounds of the county courthouse complex in Beaufort.

A group of demonstrators gathered near the statue around 6 p.m. Monday, many sporting Confederate flags and Trump 2020 campaign paraphernalia. Concurrently, a number of residents spoke in support of the monument during the public comment portion of the Carteret County Board of Commissioners’ meeting taking place nearby in the administration complex.

Stopping A Bear Attack: Bear Defense is More Difficult Than You Think

Bears are very dangerous and live in almost every state. In some places, it is not unusual to encounter them in towns while in other places they usually keep to unpopulated areas. But wherever they are, the danger of attack is present. If bears live near your house or if you visit their territory only once in a while, you could be attacked.

And even with a firearm, be it a rifle, shotgun or handgun, a bear attack is not easy to stop. They are big, powerful animals with a great deal of natural body protection, a devastating bite, and flesh-ripping claws. Their muscles are dense and they have heavy, thick bones, especially the skull, that protects them against bullet penetration.

Afghan Teen Kills Two Taliban Fighters, Wounds Others with AK-47

A 16-year-old in Afghanistan is being hailed as a hero after she used an AK-47 to kill at least two Taliban fighters and injure others who had murdered her parents in front of her.

Qamar Gul was living with her parents and younger brother in the village of Geriveh, in central Ghor province, when a group of Taliban insurgents arrived at her home looking for her father. Gul’s father had expressed support for the Afghan government, and the fighters were out to kill him, according to Agence France Presse (AFP).

The Taliban “took both my father and mother out and shot them in front of my eyes,” Gul told reporters on Tuesday at the governor’s office in Feroz Koh, the provincial capital.

“I had no choice but to take my father’s gun and fire on them,” she said. “Two were killed and another of them was wounded.”

Declassified Documents Show FBI Used ‘Defensive’ Briefing In 2016 To Spy On Donald Trump

The new documents detail the FBI's attempts to use a briefing ostensibly meant to warn the Trump campaign about foreign intelligence threats to spy on the Trump campaign itself.

Newly declassified internal Federal Bureau of Investigation documents prove the top U.S. law enforcement agency used a so-called defensive briefing of the Trump campaign in 2016 to spy on and collect information about Donald Trump himself. The new documents, which are just the latest in a string of declassifications regarding the FBI operation to spy on the Trump campaign and later the Trump administration, detail the FBI’s attempts to use a briefing ostensibly meant to warn the Trump campaign about foreign intelligence threats to spy on the Trump campaign itself.

The documents were formally declassified by Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe on July 23 then provided to Sens. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa), the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.), the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee.
