Orlando Massacre: "Obama Does Not Know His History"

Via Cousin John

"Over 150 Indians, mostly women and children were killed by the US Government. This was the worst massacre in US History, not Orlando as the news media would have you to believe."

 Massacre At Wounded Knee, 1890

 On the morning of December 29, 1890, the Sioux chief Big Foot and some 350 of his followers camped on the banks of Wounded Knee creek. Surrounding their camp was a force of U.S. troops charged with the responsibility of arresting Big Foot and disarming his warriors. The scene was tense.

Trouble had been brewing for months.

The once proud Sioux found their free-roaming life destroyed, the buffalo gone, themselves confined to reservations dependent on Indian Agents for their existence. In a desperate attempt to return to the days of their glory, many sought salvation in a new mysticism preached by a Paiute shaman called Wovoka. Emissaries from Map of Battle Areathe Sioux in South Dakota traveled to Nevada to hear his words. Wovoka called himself the Messiah and prophesied that the dead would soon join the living in a world in which the Indians could live in the old way surrounded by plentiful game.

A tidal wave of new soil would cover the earth, bury the whites, and restore the prairie. To hasten the event, the Indians were to dance the Ghost Dance. Many dancers wore brightly colored shirts emblazoned with images of eagles and buffaloes. These "Ghost Shirts" they believed would protect them from the bluecoats' bullets. During the fall of 1890, the Ghost Dance spread through the Sioux villages of the Dakota reservations, revitalizing the Indians and bringing fear to the whites. A desperate Indian Agent at Pine Ridge wired his superiors in Washington, "Indians are dancing in the snow and are wild and crazy....We need protection and we need it now. The leaders should be arrested and confined at some military post until the matter is quieted, and this should be done now." The order went out to arrest Chief Sitting Bull at the Standing Rock Reservation. Sitting Bull was killed in the attempt on December 15.

Chief Big Foot was next on the list.

Co-worker: Omar Mateen homophobic, 'unhinged'

A former Fort Pierce police officer who once worked with 29-year-old Omar Mateen, the assailant in an Orlando nightclub shooting that left at least 50 dead, said he was "unhinged and unstable."

Daniel Gilroy said he worked the 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. shift with G4S Security at the south gate at PGA Village for several months in 2014-15. Mateen took over from him for a 3 to 11 p.m. shift.

Gilroy, a former Fort Pierce police officer, said Mateen frequently made homophobic and racial comments. Gilroy said he complained to his employer several times but it did nothing because he was Muslim. Gilroy quit after he said Mateen began stalking him via multiple text messages — 20 or 30 a day. He also sent Gilroy 13 to 15 phone messages a day, he said.

"I quit because everything he said was toxic," Gilroy said Sunday, "and the company wouldn't do anything. This guy was unhinged and unstable. He talked of killing people."

Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting: 'More of these attacks are coming,' Sen. Jeff Sessions warns

The White House is considering a plan to relocate thousands of illegal immigrant children to the home state of U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, causing some to question whether presidential politics is at play.

Sessions has for years has led the opposition to immigration policies supported by President Barack Obama. The plan would send the children to Baldwin County, across the bay from Sessions' home in Mobile County.

Sessions has also emerged among Donald Trump's fiercest supporters and was the first senator to endorse the GOP presidential nominee. Trump's hardline immigration approach – which includes deportation of all undocumented immigrants and a wall built along the U.S.-Mexican border -- has been embraced by Sessions.

"It's highly probable that this is more political than practical," said Baldwin County Commissioner Chris Elliott.

What has happened in Orlando is just the beginning. Our leadership is weak and ineffective. I called it and asked for the ban. Must be tough.

Sen. Jeff Sessions is warning of the possibility of more attacks like the one at Orlando's Pulse nightclub that left 50 dead and more than 50 injured.

"There's just within the wonderful group of Islamic people are certain group of radicals and it's been there for a long time and it seems to be growing and we have to accept that fact," Sessions, R-Alabama, said on Fox News Sunday.

Jefferson Davis: A Judicial Review

 jefferson davis colorized

This piece is published in honor of Davis’s birthday, June 3.

With unaffected distrust of my ability to meet the demands of such a great hour as this, I rejoice to be again on the beautiful campus of my alma mater, and have the opportunity of bringing a message to the young men of my country. And as this commencement day chances to be the one-hundredth anniversary of the birth of Jefferson Davis, the most illustrious citizen whose name ever adorned and enriched the annals of Mississippi, I have had the temerity to select his Life and Times as the theme of this hour’s discussion. To paint, with skillful hand, the full length portrait of that majestic man, or adequately portray the qualities that gave him greatness and the virtues that make him immortal, I cannot; but, with you, I can reverently sit at his feet and listen to a story that will stir within us many a noble aspiration, and cause us to seek more diligently the old paths of manly honor and high endeavor. My purpose is not to indulge in extravagant or indiscriminate eulogy, but, if possible, give a judicial estimate of a great man who was the most commanding figure in a fierce and eventful national crisis. It shall be alike removed from unreasoning censure and unreasonable praise. We need not deify Mr. Davis, or disproportionately exalt the pedestal on which the Genius of History will surely place him, in order to show adequate appreciation of his noble character and splendid genius.

On the other hand, the use of bitter invective and lurid superlatives about this man of destiny, may evidence literary ingenuity and partisan malignity, but can never any more command the respect of patriotic, thoughtful students of our national history. The days of malignant vituperation are gone, and the time of judicial interpretation has come. It is not necessary now to “measure all facts by considerations of latitude and longitude.” The character and life work of Jefferson Davis were never so diligently and dispassionately studied as to-day. War-passions have sufficiently cooled, and war-clouds have so floated forth our national skies that even the most ardent and sentimental nationalist can study the man and his times in a clear, white light. A citizen whose moral and religious ideals were the most exalted, and whose daily conduct was sought to be modeled after the Man of Galilee, and whose life has in it as little to explain or apologize for, as any leader in American politics, can never be caricatured as a monster or condemned as a traitor, and have anybody really believe it.

ACLU Lawyers Blames Christians For Orlando Terror Attack: No, it's not a parody.

  • I love you, my queers. (I bet you've "loved" quite a few. :)

  • Several American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) attorneys took to Twitter to blame the “Christian Right” for Sunday’s deadly terrorist attack at a nightclub in Orlando, Fla., which left 50 dead and 53 injured.

    Chase Strangio, a staff attorney with the ACLU’s LGBT and AIDS Project, claimed the social and political environment cultivated by Christian conservatives in recent months was to blame for the shooting at Pulse, a nightclub popular with Orlando’s LGBT community.

    Islamic extremist Omar Mateen murdered 50 people at a “Pulse” gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida late Saturday night.

    Within hours the official ISIS Media Agency Amaq News took responsibility for the massacre.

    Mateen called 911 and swore allegiance to ISIS before the attack.

    Barack Obama made a brief statement on the Pulse nightclub attack.

    Obama never mentioned ISIS, Islamic extremism, Islamic States or radical Islam.

    Donald Trump called for Obama to resign in disgrace.

    Is President Obama going to finally mention the words radical Islamic terrorism? If he doesn't he should immediately resign in disgrace!

    "We Were Soldiers Once… And Young" : Unseen ,Long forgotten pictures taken by American soldiers and packed away for decades are unearthed

    Photo editor Kendra Rennick began soliciting Vietnam War veterans for images they took during their tour of duty as a way to show an untold side of history

    Here are the unseen photographs of the Vietnam War, taken by American soldiers during their tours of duty.

    Unlike the iconic images taken by photojournalists that have come to characterize the war, photo editor Kendra Rennick was interested in 'snap shots and candid moments' from the soldiers themselves.

    The project was initially inspired by Rennick's close friend, whose father died and left behind a box of slides he had taken during the war.

    The veteran returned home with post traumatic stress disorder, but never spoke of his time in Vietnam, leaving behind unanswered questions and untold stories marked only by the box of images.

    Through The Vietnam Slide Project, Rennick hopes to shine a light on the unseen history while honoring each participating veteran as a person and collaborator.
    'There are so many memories that have never been told because of the way media and even the government viewed this conflict,' she told FeatureShoot.com.

    'I am most interested in photo slides for their aesthetic, as well as slides’ original intention.

    'The idea that slides are shot with the hopes of being shown to a group of people and projected on a wall interests me. Most people have no way of viewing their slides so they usually sit in a box untouched or viewed.'

    Rennick is soliciting more slides as she hopes to grow the ongoing archival project.

    A Character Sketch: John Randolph of Roanoke

     http://www.abbevilleinstitute.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Randolph-of-RO.jpg

    Editor’s Note: This piece is, at times, harsh in its assessment of Randolph’s character and motives, but the anecdotes and language make it a fun read.  Randolph was eccentric, perhaps the greatest orator Virginia ever produced.  That is saying much.  He was a one man army against unconstitutional federal overreach, and as the author, Frederick William Thomas, notes spent much of his time engaged in a rear guard action of “no.”  That alone makes him valuable.  Thomas did not appreciate such intractability at the time, but in a day when Congress always says, “yes,” Randolph would be a refreshing departure from the status quo.  No doubt, he would be made a political martyr.  Happy Birthday, Mr. Randolph. (June 2).

    “GREAT WITS TO MADNESS NEARLY ARE ALLIED.”

    I remember some years since to have seen John Randolph in Baltimore. I had frequently read and heard descriptions of him; and one day, as I was standing in Market, now Baltimore Street, I remarked a tall, thin, unique-looking being hurrying towards me with a quick impatient step, evidently much annoyed by a crowd of boys who were following close at his heels; not in the obstreperous mirth with which they would have followed a crazy or a drunken man, or an organgrinder and his monkey, but in the silent, curious wonder with which they would have haunted a Chinese, bedecked in full costume. I instantly knew the individual to be Randolph, from the descriptions.

    Police surround Acura in Santa Monica

    Authorities in Santa Monica found possible explosives as well as weapons and ammunition Sunday in the car of a man who told them he was in town for the L.A. Pride festival in West Hollywood, a law enforcement source said.

    Early Sunday,  Santa Monica police received a call of a suspected prowler near Olympic Boulevard and 11th Street. Patrol officers responded and encountered an individual who told officers he was waiting for a friend. That led officers to inspect the car and find several weapons and a lot of ammunition as well as tannerite, an ingredient that could be used to create a pipe bomb.

    More Workplace Violence....

    Via comment by JWMJR on Orlando Executions:"Dr. Sebastian Gorka lays it on...

     http://www.wnd.com/files/2016/04/BloodyIslam.png

    Somehow, someway the Obama administration and the Clinton campaign will try and spin the South Florida Slaughter as something, anything other than an act of irrational Islamic violence. In fact the spin has already begun with media talking heads trotting out the killer's father saying that his son was outraged after seeing two men kissing in public a few weeks or days previously. Of course they don't mention that his inspiration for his violent reaction came straight out of his Islamic upbringing.

    Because of course we all know that Islam is a "religion of peace" and that as a first generation American he was of course completely integrated and assimilated into America's culture of tolerance and respect.

    Some how I don't think the spin Drs. are going to succeed no matter how many RPMs they put on it. This horrendous incident is going to get juxtapositioned with the story that the Obama administration is admitting at least a hundred unvetted "Syrians" every single day.

    8 Reasons Why It Is So Hard To Find Someone Decent To Marry

    Via comment by Quartermain on Useful idiots

     http://theeconomiccollapseblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/Love-And-Marriage-Public-Domain-460x306.jpg

    It is not easy to be single in America today. If you are a man, it can be exceedingly difficult to find a good woman to marry. If you are a woman, it is literally a miracle if you can find a good man to marry. So is it just our imaginations, or has the process of finding a mate become much more challenging in recent years? Well, it is a fact that fewer people are getting married these days. For the first time in our history, there are more single adults in our country than married adults, and Time Magazine says that 25 percent of Millennials will never get married even once in their entire lifetimes. And of course those that do get married are taking far longer to do so than previous generations. Just recently, I wrote about how the average American woman is getting married 7.0 years later than she did in 1956, and the average American man is getting married 6.7 years later than he did back at that time.

    So why is this happening?

    Why has finding love become so challenging?

    i Action:
    How?  There were nearly 400 patrons in the club. Not one, apparently, was armed, save for an Afghan Jihadi, Omar Mir Mateen, a newly deceased terrorist.   That's how.

    Why was no one else armed?  Why?  Because of a state-inspired and misguided loophole in Florida's concealed carry laws which prohibits "carrying" within premises serving alcohol. This effectively renders patrons defenseless against attacks by Islamic extremists or any other type of violent group.
    The state of Florida, like so many other states, has created yet another "gun-free killing zone" -  much like the killing-zone places where children congregate during the school year. As Donald Trump has pointed out, the best way to avert large numbers of people killed by evil gunmen, such as this Orlando shooter, Omar Mir Mateen, is to allow good people the means to protect themselves - wherever they are.

    I live in No. Carolina which is a "shall issue" concealed carry state. "Shall issue" means the state must show a compelling legal argument to avoid issuing you a permit to arm yourself away from home. Convicted felons, for example, are not allowed to 'carry' in No. Carolina.  Unlike Florida, you can legally carry your concealed firearm into a restaurant or bar in my state, but you cannot drink if you do so.  This resulted from NC House Bill 937 which became effective in 2013. Gun banners and their naysaying media allies forecast it was going to lead to murder and mayhem. Their unified mantra

    was "guns and alcohol don't mix."  So, what has happened in the past 3 years since Bill 937 was implemented?

    NOTHING.

    The right to self defense is the most fundamental right of every human being and when the state intrudes and limits the right to self defense it is acting in concert with criminals whom neither recognize gun laws nor your right to defend yourself against THEM. That even applies, on occasion, to states themselves. Need we remind each other of what happened to the Jews of Nazi Germany who were stripped of their guns before the greatest pogrom of all, The Holocaust?

    The criminals and the terrorists LOVE gun controls; it makes their "job" easy, and that's especially true wherever a state designates a "gun free (killing) zone."   In case you're going to visit Florida, here is a relevant list of state-established killing zones there:

    Note: Firearms regulations are uniform throughout Florida, and a carry license is valid everywhere other than in a few specially-defined areas. These specially-defined prohibited areas include:

         Any place of nuisance as defined in s. 823.05[6]
         Any police, sheriff, or highway patrol station;
         Any detention facility, prison, or jail;
         Any detention facility, prison, or jail;
         Any courthouse;
         Any courtroom, except that nothing in this section would preclude a judge from carrying a concealed weapon or determining who will carry a concealed weapon in his or her courtroom;
         Any polling place;
         Any meeting of the governing body of a county, public school district, municipality, or special district;
         Any meeting of the Legislature or a committee thereof;
         Any school,or professional athletic event not related to firearms;
        Any elementary or secondary school facility or administration building; If school is in session
        Any career center; (Commonly referred to as "Technical Schools")
        Any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to such purpose;
        Any college or university facility unless the licensee is a registered student, employee, or faculty member of such college or university and the weapon is a stun gun or nonlethal electric weapon or device designed solely for defensive purposes and the weapon does not fire a dart or projectile; (With an exception for students, faculty and visitors keeping firearms stored in their cars.) [7]
        The inside of the passenger terminal and sterile area of any airport, provided that no person shall be prohibited from carrying any legal firearm into the terminal, which firearm is encased for shipment for purposes of checking such firearm as baggage to be lawfully transported on any aircraft; or
         Any place where the carrying of firearms is prohibited by federal law.[8]
        In Seaports[9] – The seaport must provide clear notice of the prohibition against possession of concealed weapons and other contraband material on the premises of the seaport. Any person in a restricted area who has in his or her possession a concealed weapon, or who operates or has possession or control of a vehicle in or upon which a concealed weapon is placed or stored, commits a misdemeanor of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s. 775.083.
         In the Savannas Preserve State Park[10] – It is unlawful for any person, except a law enforcement or conservation officer, to have in his or her possession any firearm while within the Savannas except when in compliance with regulations established by the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission applying to lands within the described boundaries.

    Anyone lawfully carrying a firearm in Florida in a concealed manner, may briefly and openly display the firearm to the ordinary sight of another person,
    Help stop this PC madness.   Go Trump.
