Cannes Film Festival to Welcome Child Rapist Roman Polanski

Close to 40 years have passed since filmmaker Roman Polanski pled guilty to the statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl, whom he drugged and sodomized, before fleeing to Europe rather than submitting to jail time. And yet Hollywood and the European film industry have continued to support and celebrate him and his work.

On top of previously awarding him an Oscar for Best Director in 2003, the Cannes Film Festival has announced it will welcome him onto the red carpet next month to celebrate his most recent film D’après une histoire vraie (Based on a True Story). The organizers of the most famous film festival in the world will do this knowing fully well that Polanski has been a fugitive of the United States since 1978.

Far-left activists behind recent anti-conservative riots in Berkeley tried to “brainwash” and “indoctrinate” students into supporting left-wing social justice causes, Berkeley Unified School District argued in court filings reviewed by local news organization Berkeleyside.

By Any Means Necessary (BAMN), a far-left activist group with deep ties to pro-pedophilia advocates, places a priority on youth involvement in its protests, according to the group’s stated principles.

Middle school teacher Yvette Felarca, a prominent BAMN organizer, repeatedly abused her position as an educator to push left-wing activist causes, the school district claimed.

Google Redefines The Word ‘Fascism’ To Smear Conservatives, Protect Liberal Rioters

Has Google, the world’s most popular search engine, changed the definition of the word “fascism” to protect liberal mobs using violence to silence those who disagree with them politically? The evidence suggest they have.

You see it on signs at every protest or riot — liberals accuse President Donald Trump of being a fascist. The word’s association with Adolf Hitler and its use now is no accident, it’s meant to strike fear in people’s hearts of tyranny.

Merriam-Webster defines the word “fascism” as “a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition.” The secondary definition is “a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control.”

This definition reflects the fact that Nazis were, in fact, both fascists and of the political left. They were the “National Socialist German Workers Party,” which favored a heavy-handed government in business and the personal lives of its citizens.

Lawmakers will announce a major effort Wednesday to explore ways to keep terrorists from reaching America’s shores, warning that Islamists from hotbeds of fundamentalist activity in Europe are able to enter the United States visa-free if they manage to slip through the cracks of the nation’s vast immigration enforcement bureaucracy.

On Wednesday, a bipartisan House Homeland Security Committee task force will convene to explore specific U.S. immigration protocols, in particular the visa waiver agreements with countries in Europe, where counterterrorism officials have identified dangerous weaknesses.

NC: Abolish concealed-carry permits and help citizens fight crime

Earlier this year, Rep. Larry Pittman of Cabarrus County filed the Constitutional Carry Act, House Bill 69, which says any American citizen 18 or older can carry a concealed handgun without a permit in the North Carolina. A dozen states have already passed similar legislation and there has been no mayhem because of these laws. Vermont has never had a law prohibiting concealed handguns.

I teach the N.C. Concealed Carry Firearms Course that is prerequisite to applying for a Concealed Carry Handgun Permit. I was first required to take several courses given by the NRA to obtain an NRA pistol instructor certification, before I could take the N.C. Criminal Justice Standards Division Concealed Carry Firearms Instructor course. All of the courses were informative and enjoyable. I thoroughly enjoy teaching people the safe and legal use of a handgun. That being said, I am an ardent supporter of House Bill 69, which has now been incorporated into other legislation in the General Assembly. The measure would abolish the need for the N.C. Concealed Carry Permit. Of course this would reduce the number of students taking my course, but it will also greatly reduce crime and violence, which was my objective in becoming an instructor.

John Kelly slams Democrats, media for celebrating lack of border wall funding

Homeland Security John Kelly slammed Democrats and the media for "rejoicing" in the fact that money for President Trump's wall along the border with Mexico isn't in the omnibus spending bill.

Kelly said the spending bill, which if passed before Friday will fund the government until the end of September, represents the biggest investment in border security in a decade. However, Kelly's ire was piqued by Democrats, though he didn't mention the opposition party by name, who celebrated that funding for the wall was not a part of that investment.

"Frankly, I am shocked at the behavior of some individuals in publicservice or public office … they're rejoicing in that the wall will be slower to be built and our southwest border will be less secure than it could be," Kelly said.

Immigration courts have authorized the deportation of approximately 12 percent of inmates now incarcerated with the Bureau of Prisons, according to figures released Tuesday by the Justice Department.

Of the approximately 189,000 federal inmates in BOP custody, the data shows 41,554 are foreign nationals and another 3,939 were foreign-born but became U.S. citizens. Of those, final deportation orders have been issued for 22,541 foreign-born inmates, so they will be deported from the country once they complete their prison sentences.

Trump invites conservatives to White House, reportedly to sign religious-liberty order

ACLU calls possible action anti-gay discrimination, vows to sue if true

President Trump has invited about 100 conservative leaders to the White House on Thursday, when he’s expected to sign an executive order on religious liberty.

Mr. Trump will be holding an event for the National Day of Prayer, White House deputy press secretary Sarah Sanders confirmed. But she said there was no announcement to be made about a possible executive order.

A report by Politico said Mr. Trump will likely sign what one conservative leader described as a “very strong” order to promote religious freedom. A draft order that circulated in February would have established religious exemptions for businesses and individuals.

The White House insisted Tuesday that the $1 trillion spending bill includes money for 40 miles of border fencing, as President Trump sought to shore up Republican voters by saying the deal also lays the groundwork for rebuilding the military.

The president said there is “enough money to make a down payment on the border wall,” and said a $15 billion boost in defense spending — without having a dollar-for-dollar match in domestic spending — has set a new standard that will benefit Republicans and the Pentagon.

 Both sides battling it out over an injunction to stop the removal of the Robert E. Lee statue and renaming of the park its in were in court for hours Tuesday.

The judge said he issued the six-month injunction to prevent City Council from removing the statue because irreparable harm could be done to the War memorial. But the judge said renaming the park isn't irreparable and can be done.
