I know this sounds sort of crazy, but I immediately recognized the photo from your post (it is number 47 in the YT video). I just finished reading this book earlier this week. It was a pretty good read written by the son of the main character, Andrew Gerow Hodges, Sr. Hodges was a Alabamian who was rejected by the army due to a college football injury. He volunteered for the American Red Cross and was instrumental in organizing and executing no less than 4 POW exchanges with the Germans.
He was a very brave man and would venture into enemy territory unarmed and often alone to work out the details of each exchange with the Germans. He earned their respect as a brave man who was true to his word. The book was written by Hodges son, Andrew Hodges Jr. and Denise George. It is a great story and worth reading. Feel free to post as a comment, etc. From Jeffery in Alabama
On
another note, I hope you are doing well. We are good here. Our RHINO
Governor mandated a statewide mask order that went in effect today at
5:00 PM. Naturally, I will not conform. LOL
Take care and stay safe,
