The Cancellation Of Dr. Seuss Should Disturb You, Because You’re Next

The Cancellation Of Dr. Seuss Should Disturb You, Because You’re Next

America is entering its very own Mao-like Cultural Revolution. The iconoclasm of the left’s culture war isn’t a side effect, it’s the point.

Dr. Seuss has been cancelled. Some of his work has been deemed racist, and we can’t have that. On Tuesday, the entity that oversees the estate of Theodor Seuss Geisel announced it would no longer publish six of Geisel’s books because they “portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong.”

Among the works now deemed unfit for children are Geisel’s first book under the pen name Dr. Seuss, “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street,” published in 1937, and the much-beloved, “If I Ran the Zoo,” published in 1950. The former depicts a “Chinaman” character and the latter shows two men from “the African island of Yerka” in native garb.

$350 Billion Covid “Bailout” To States, Cities, And Counties – Here’s What You Need To Know

 Florida is the biggest loser.

Via John "In an earlier time, this witch Pelosie, with all the damage she has done to so many for so long, would have been burned at the stake with the public cheering on with raucous huzzahs of delight.   Read on, but be forewarned, if you're a Democrat, you're not supposed to know about this.....so you should delete this right away, without daring to read it, because these days, Big Brother knows every keystroke you make."

This week, the U.S. House passed, along party lines, the $1.9 trillion American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. A vote in the U.S. Senate is expected soon.

Buried within the 591-page bill is a $350 billion bailout for 50 states, tribal governments, U.S. territories, and more than 30,000 cities and counties.

Our auditors at OpenTheBooks.com finally located the $350 billion allocation, line-by-line, in a supplemental database hidden on the back end of the House Oversight Committee’s website.

SAIGON 1902

 https://live.staticflickr.com/1775/30144566168_8f3c483392_n.jpg

Long before Saigon became a maelstrom of motorbikes zipping past bubble tea shops, convenience stores, and cellphone sellers, it was a sleepy town where sampan boats cluttered placid canals, locals snoozed under thatched roofs and colonizers had begun to roam around wearing pith helmets and pleated pants.

It's not to say things were necessarily better in Saigon approximately 120 years ago - penicillin hadn't been invented yet and the French were constantly trying to squeeze the poor nation of all it had, resource by resource, after all. Yet, the plentitude of trees and a pace of life that moved as fast as a backwater branch of the Saigon River seems like it would be a nice addition to the metropolis' modern-day manifestation.

Except for the elephants in the Zoo and Botanical Garden, these photos from 1902 taken by an unidentified photographer allow one to glimpse a city that bears almost no resemblance to the Saigon of today. The rapidity of change is astounding.

"John,Sharon and I all have COVID.I wish to thank the SCDOC for waiting a year into the pandemic to ever test the officers.after all if they tested positive how could they ever staff, the COs have had mandatory OT to help cover other shifts for the past year.N95 masks, faceshields, gowns.temp checks did nothing to stop the spread.when it’s in the institution in theinmate population.

COs are second tier to get a vaccine.so not yet, they have called john every two days to see when he will be able to return to work..DHEC never contacted us about contact tracing...so when you see them promoting it,it’s a lie but they talk a good game.if I sound angry,I am.yes I have gone out but I was constantly washing my hands..with soap, not just hand sanitizer.and all the other suggestions.John had been staying in the other bedroom for months because of him working with covid positive persons.we have sat down to dinner together maybe twice in the past six months.and none of them in the last two weeks.

From Lin Wood:

Let’s get the day started with a big BANG of truth. Below is the transcription of the entire taped interview conducted with the brave whistleblower who speaks credibly about crimes committed at the highest levels of our government. He speaks at risk of his life and the life of his family. He consented to this public revelation of his truth. You can judge for yourself whether the claims of the whistleblower must be investigated by law enforcement. I spent several days with him. I am convinced a thorough law enforcement investigation is demanded. You may now review this evidence and come to your own conclusions. I think this transcript should be shared far and wide. What do you think?

Alabama to Join Texas, Mississippi, Florida, Others in Eliminating Mask Mandates this Week

 Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey, 1/14/2019

Alabama will become one of the next states to eliminate a government-imposed mandate that requires people wear masks in public, sources close to the matter told Breitbart News.

A source familiar with state deliberations confirmed that as soon as Friday but definitely in the coming days. Alabama will join several other states nationwide in removing its mandate requiring masks in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

GOP Gov. Kay Ivey’s office has not yet confirmed what sources familiar with the state’s planning and deliberations are, but a spokeswoman for Ivey told Breitbart News she was never a fan of mandates to begin with—a sign of the coming move.

“All along, Governor Ivey has made clear that she prefers personal responsibility to government mandates. We are optimistic that our state is heading in the right direction, and we still have some work to be done. Governor Ivey will provide an update to the people of Alabama soon,” an Ivey spokeswoman said.

Mike Pompeo: Conservatives Want a President ‘Who’s Willing to Break Glass When That’s What’s Required’

https://www.christianmessenger.in/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Mike-Pompeo.jpg

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told Breitbart News exclusively that conservatives are looking for a fighter as their commander in chief.

“I think that’s right,” Pompeo said when Breitbart News’s Matt Boyle asked if conservatives are looking for a fighter as president. “It’s what I saw when I ran for Congress for the first time in the big Tea Party class of 2010. They want someone who hasn’t fallen in love with the city of Washington and all that comes with it. They want someone who’s willing to break glass when that’s what’s required. They want someone who understands this is a righteous founding of our nation and that America is the greatest nation in the history of civilization and that we have a duty to continue to preserve that. And they’re looking for someone who’s willing to lay it all on the line to go do that, to take the brickbat, to take whatever may come and demonstrate leadership in spite of any resistance they may receive. I think the next set of leaders, not just whoever becomes the next president, but whether it’s members of Congress, city council members, school board members, all across America have a responsibility to do that right and if they do the American people will respect that and vote for them.”

BEN SHAPIRO When lies matter more than the facts

                                                                                     New York Times building

It turned the story into an investigation of supposed structural biases based on race and class. In one of the more astonishing sentences ever written in a major newspaper, The Times reported, "The story highlights the tensions between a student's deeply felt sense of personal truth and facts that are at odds with it.This is the society we now inhabit: a society in which a "deeply felt sense of personal truth" must be weighed against "the facts." And typically, our society dismisses "the facts."

This week, The New York Times ran a long piece re-reporting a supposed race scandal from Smith College. The scandal, originally reported in midsummer 2018, featured a black student, Oumou Kanoute, who claimed that she was racially profiled while eating in a dormitory lounge. She suggested in a Facebook post that she was confronted by a campus police officer, who might have been carrying a "lethal weapon," and a janitor, adding: "All I did was be Black. It's outrageous that some people question my being at Smith College, and my existence overall as a woman of color."

The janitor was placed on paid leave. The college president issued a campuswide statement explaining, "This painful incident reminds us of the ongoing legacy of racism and bias in which people of color are targeted while simply going about the business of their ordinary lives."

The incident was reported by establishment media outlets far and wide.

There was only one problem: It was a lie.

Ruling: Millions of AZ ballots can undergo audit

 voter casting a ballot

In what's likely to be good news for those concerned about election integrity, a judge in Arizona has ruled that the State Senate has the right to audit more than two-million ballots from the 2020 presidential election.

Maricopa County Superior Court judge Timothy Thomason ruled on Friday that subpoenas issued by the Arizona Senate are legal and enforceable, so the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors must provide the Senate with the 2.1-million ballots as well as access to election machines in order to conduct an audit of the results. Thomason ruled that the Senate has the constitutional authority to oversee elections. Lawmakers are concerned about the integrity of the voting system in the wake of allegations of election fraud in Arizona and at least five other states.

"We finally are going to get our hands on the real ballots in an election – and that's really important news," says Tom Zawistowski, president of the tea party-affiliated We the People Convention.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration reports that it’s possible for around 145 million customers in the U.S. to go without power for an average of four hours per year. The same organization reports that even though some customers have generators to provide auxiliary power, most do not have electricity during these outages.

Power outages are always a present threat to many consumers. Generators can come to the rescue when you lose power. Modern home backup generators can sense a power outage and turn on automatically, delivering seamless electricity.

To help you get the right generator for your needs, we have put together 12 tips you will need to consider when choosing one.

Lord Macaulay on American Institutions and Prospects, 1860 ...

“I have long been convinced that institutions purely democratic must sooner or later destroy liberty or civilization, or both. You may think that your country enjoys an exemption from these evils. I will frankly own to you that I am of a very different opinion. Your fate I believe to be settled, though it is deferred by a physical cause. As long as you have a boundless extent of fertile and unoccupied land, your laboring population will be far more at ease than is the laboring population of the old world, and while that is the case the Jefferson politics may continue to exist without any fatal calamity. But the time will come when wages will be as low and will fluctuate as much with you as with us. You will have your Manchesters and your Birminghams, and in these Manchesters and Birminghams hundreds of thousands of artisans will assuredly be out of work. Then your institutions will be brought to the test. Distress everywhere makes the laborer mutinous and discontented, and incline him to listen to agitators who tell him that it is a monstrous iniquity that one man should have a million while another cannot get a full meal.

“I have seen England pass through three or four such critical seasons as I have described; through such seasons the United States will have to pass in the course of the next century, if not of this. How will you pass through them? I heartily wish you a good deliverance. But my reason and my wishes are at war, and 1 cannot help forboding the worst.

“The day will come when in the State of New York, a multitude of people, none of whom has had more than half a breakfast or expects to have more than half a dinner, will choose a legislature. On one side is a statesman teaching patience, respect for the vested rights, strict observance of public faith. On the other is a demagogue, ranting at the tyranny of capitalists and usurists, and asking why anybody should be permitted to drink champagne and ride in a carriage while thousands of honest people are in want of necessities. Which of these candidates is likely to be preferred by a working-man who hears his children cry for bread?

“I seriously apprehend that you will, in some such season of adversity as I have described, do things which will prevent prosperity from returning. There will be, I fear, spoliation. The spoliation will increase the distress. The distress will produce fresh spoliation. There is nothing to stop you. Your constitution is all sail and no anchor.

“As I said before, when society has entered on this downward progress, either civilisation or liberty must perish. Either some Caesar or Napoleon will seize the reins of government with a strong hand, and your republic will be as fearfully plundered and laid to waste by the barbarians in the twentieth century as the Roman Empire was in the fifth, with the difference that the Huns and Vandals who ravaged the Roman empire came from without; and that your Huns and Vandals will have been engendered within your own country by your own institutions.”

Levin: 'Shame on' Kavanaugh and Barrett for Refusing to Do Their 'Damn Job'

“Shame on" Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Amy Coney Barrett," radio host Mark Levin said Monday. "They have helped to pour fuel on the fire of the division of this country by failing to uphold the United States Constitution and drawing a line; that’s their damn job, not to interfere in all these other matters."

Levin was discussing the Supreme Court's 6-3 decision not to hear cases pertaining to the 2020 presidential election.

"The one to me that was the strongest of the cases was the one that was a straight-up challenge under Article II, Sect. 1, Clause 2 of the Constitution, which is very simple," the host said. "That is that the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Attorney General of Pennsylvania, and the Secretary of State of Pennsylvania have absolutely no authority to substantively change election laws in the state."

Biden Administration Locks ICE Twitter Account

Biden’s latest move is a direct threat to American’s safety.

The United States’  ICE agency has just  locked their twitter account.

So what does this mean?

It means the Biden administration is taking away all  security alerts on illegal immigrants with criminal backgrounds on Twitter.

In times past the account was used to post names of known fugitives who are wanted at large but it looks like no more security alerts will be issued  under the Biden regime.

Now that Donald Trump no longer is a threat, the Islamic State (ISIS) is back in the beheading business (VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED)

ISIS chose a slaughterhouse to carry out this series of beheadings of prisoners accused of allegedly spying and passing information to enemies of ISIS (Western coalition) in Syria. They cut the necks of the prisoners exactly how halal butchers cut the necks of fully-conscious animals, then hang them upside down so the blood can flow into the drain on the floor.
