Senate Passes Bill To Allow Airports to Kick Out TSA

It is known by experience that once a stupid law is passed, a hundred corrections will be needed to make it good. But never expect a legislature to repeal a stupid law and make its job easier. Legislators prefer to keep mending and correcting old stupid laws rather than simply repeal them and solve the problem once and for all.

9-11 gave a good opportunity to the legislators of both parties to punish 300 million American citizens with a law that deprived them of their tradition Constitutional liberties by declaring every American a suspect terrorist by default, until proven innocent. Our lawmakers didn’t miss that opportunity; they passed the Patriot Act. Of course, out of that came tyrannical monsters like Homeland Security and its child, the TSA. The legislators who proposed it at the beginning, now claim they didn’t expect it to turn into the monster it is today. Whether they expected it or not, it is a monster. For all the years of its existence, it didn’t catch a single terrorist, and it can’t prove that it improved the security of anything. Not that it is without its achievements, of course. Children were groped and molested, old and disabled people were terrorized, sexual predators and perverts found legitimate employment coupled with free satisfaction, and petty thieves had good opportunities to steal directly from travelers’ bags with impunity. Flying became more dangerous than before; except that now the terrorists are paid with Federal money and have blue uniforms. TSA, of course, adopted the policy of “our people are always right even when they are wrong,” and much of that Federal money went to protect them against court action.

A stupid law can create dangerous results. The Patriot Act went above and beyond in that respect.

So now the lawmakers had to repair what could be repaired – without, of course, just repealing the stupid law.

Reconstruction’s Baleful Effects

The war waged upon the American South is estimated to have cost the lives of a million persons, during and after the conflict, and a total of $8,000,000,000, which, “with destruction of property, derangement of the power of labor, pension system and other economic losses, would reach thirty billions of dollars.” A practical and peaceful abolition proposal from the North would have avoided this result.

Bernhard Thuersam, Chairman
North Carolina War Between the States Sesquicentennial Commission
www.ncwbts150.com
"The Official Website of the North Carolina WBTS Sesquicentennial"

“One evidence of the baleful effects of Radical Reconstruction is to be found in the increase in the Negro death rate. [Author] DeForest noted that “a large part of the colored was incapable of self-support and without natural guardians…But for the pity of former owners, themselves perhaps bankrupt…multitudes of aged, infirm and infantile blacks would have suffered greatly or perished outright.”

Dependable figures are available only for Charleston; but they are representative of the entire State and agree with many individual observations. So many Negroes, particularly children, died during Reconstruction, and venereal and other social diseases increased at such a rate, that some observers even predicted that the race would die out within a few generations.

For thirty-nine years after the war…the Negro death rate increased 69 percent to 43.33; the white rate dropped to 24.4. During the same periods, too, Negro deaths from tuberculosis increased nearly 400 percent. Many Southern friends of the race like [Wade] Hampton deeply regretted the senseless state of affairs that was bringing about this physical as well as social demoralization of a kindly people.”

Efforts to Eliminate the Natural Born Requirement (2003-2005)

Evidence that we have a fraud and a usurper currently residing in the people’s White House is overwhelming, despite the overt lack of journalistic investigating on the part of the American press. But now new evidence indicates that the conspiracy to carry out that fraud was much broader than originally thought.

The story of whom and what Barack Hussein Obama II really is – is a forty-year story that requires a book, not a column, to tell. Strong evidence suggests that he was being groomed from a very young age for the moment in history that would end American supremacy in the world, and usher in a new era of Global Marxist Governance.

But there was a major hurdle that had to be overcome - the U.S. Constitution, in this case, Article II – Section I – Clause V specifically, which requires that “no person except a natural-born citizen of the United States” can hold the office of President. – Obama is not a natural-born citizen of the United States…and may not even be a legal citizen of the United States. So, how can he be President?

This column focuses upon the period 2003-2008 and the political maneuvers that took place in order to make way for America’s first unconstitutional resident of the White House.

Dallas Solves The Illegal Alien Invasion Problem

Rebellion
Verbatim Post

Here's an effective way to get illegal aliens off the road:

Recently, the City of Dallas , Texas , passed an ordinance stating that if a driver is pulled over by law enforcement and is not able to provide proof of insurance, the car is towed.

To retrieve the car after being impounded, they must show proof of insurance to have the car released.

This has made it easy for the City of Dallas to remove uninsured cars.

Shortly after the "No Insurance" ordinance was passed, the Dallas impound lots began to fill up and were full after only nine days. Most of the impounded cars were driven by illegals.

Not only must they provide proof of insurance to have their car released, they have to pay for the cost of the tow, a $350 fine and $20 for every day their car is kept in the lot.

Dallas' solution gets uninsured drivers off the road WITHOUT making them show proof of nationality.

Here's the web site for the city of Dallas explaining how this ordinance works. Sounds like a local solution to illegal immigration that the Treason Lobby can't block. Clever!

A Fairness Quiz for the President

President Obama has frequently justified his policies—and judged their outcomes—in terms of equity, justice and fairness. That raises an obvious question: How does our existing system—and his own policy record—stack up according to those criteria?

Is it fair that the richest 1% of Americans pay nearly 40% of all federal income taxes, and the richest 10% pay two-thirds of the tax?

Is it fair that the richest 10% of Americans shoulder a higher share of their country's income-tax burden than do the richest 10% in every other industrialized nation, including socialist Sweden?

Is it fair that American corporations pay the highest statutory corporate tax rate of all other industrialized nations but Japan, which cuts its rate on April 1?

Is it fair that President Obama sends his two daughters to elite private schools that are safer, better-run, and produce higher test scores than public schools in Washington, D.C.—but millions of other families across America are denied that free choice and forced to send their kids to rotten schools?

Is it fair that Americans who build a family business, hire workers, reinvest and save their money—paying a lifetime of federal, state and local taxes often climbing into the millions of dollars—must then pay an additional estate tax of 35% (and as much as 55% when the law changes next year) when they die, rather than passing that money onto their loved ones?

Exclusive: Occupy DC Plans Mayhem for Major Conservative Conference

It's good that this is known in advance at least.

“In order to avoid having to shower and dress in business attire to blend in,” Scribe’s source said, “they plan to wear Ron Paul 2012 gear because they believe Paul supporters ‘generally look like hippies.’”

The “Occupy DC” protest group is planning to disrupt the upcoming Conservative Political Action Conference using a range of potentially illegal tactics that could even include violence against participants, Scribe has learned.

The planned disruptions at CPAC come only days after U.S. Park Police raided Occupiers’ tent cities at McPherson Square and Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., confiscating a number of tents, and prohibiting Occupiers from camping out there any longer.

During a Thursday meeting at McPherson Square, until Saturday the epicenter of the protests, Occupiers brainstormed tactics for shutting down or disrupting the conference, according to a source who was present at the meeting.

The protesters suggested pulling fire alarms in the hotel where the conference will take place, screaming “fire” during conference activities, “glitter-bombing” participants, cutting electrical power, and barricading entrances to the hotel, according to the source, who requested anonymity.

“Speakers will be physically assaulted, not just verbally confronted,” the source told Scribe in an email. Two Occupiers, who the source also identified as members of the New Black Panther Party, “said they would be disappointed if they didn’t get arrested and planned to ‘make it count.’”

Channeling FDR

Theodore B. Olson recently wrote a Wall Street Journal column entitled “Obama’s Enemies List.” According to Olson, Charles and David Koch are near, if not at the top, of the Great One’s list, exceeding even Fox News and talk radio as the punching bag du jour.

The Koch brothers are businessmen and prominent free marketers who donate to organizations espousing that point of view. Olson writes that they have been attacked by the president and his surrogates and investigated and abused by agencies of the government, including the Internal Revenue Service.

Gibson Guitar Company CEO Henry Juszkiewicz, not incidentally, a contributor to the Republican National Committee, knows a thing or two about being a government target. Armed agents from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service raided Gibson’s facilities in Memphis and Nashville, Tennessee and seized more than 10,000 guitar fingerboards made from Indian Rosewood along with computers and other records. The government claims that Gibson violated the Lacey Act by purchasing and exporting Fingerboards from India. Gibson denies the accusation and says the company has imported the same wood without incident for the last 17 years, as have several of its competitors, who have not been raided by federal agents. To this writer’s knowledge, the issue has yet to be resolved.

The campaign against the Koch brothers and more particularly the Gibson raids prompt the memory of FDR’s 1944 attack on Sewell Avery, chairman of Montgomery Ward & Co. and a vocal opponent of the New Deal. Avery had refused to comply with government labor regulations, earning Roosevelt’s wrath. With national elections in the fall, FDR needed the labor vote. He issued an executive order (one of many during his tenure) to take over MW’s corporate offices “for the successful prosecution of the war.” Soldiers with fixed bayonets stormed the Chicago headquarters and when Sewell refused to leave, carried him out of the building. The incident became the subject of an iconic photograph.

3D printer provides woman with a brand new jaw

An 83-year-old Belgian woman is able to chew, speak and breathe normally again after a machine printed her a new jawbone. Made from a fine titanium powder sculpted by a precision laser beam, her replacement jaw has proven as functional as her own used to be before a potent infection, called osteomyelitis, all but destroyed it.

The medics behind the feat say it is a first. "This is a world premiere, the first time a patient‐specific implant has replaced the entire lower jaw," says Jules Poukens, the researcher who led the operation at Biomed, the biomedical research department of the University of Hasselt, in Belgium. "It's a cautious, but firm step."

LTC Terry Lakin Denied Kansas Medical License for Challenging Obama's Eligibility: Same Board Approved License for Doctor that Killed Patient

Complete, total bull.

Via Theo Spark

A Kansas board that denied a licensed doctor of osteopathic medicine a license was primarily concerned about the man's political views.

The Kansas State Board of Healing Arts is a 15-member panel appointed by the governor and decides the fate of doctors in Kansas.

Terrence Lee Lakin rose to the ranks of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army. He served on the front lines in Afghanistan and the war zone in Bosnia as well as a medical mission to Honduras. He saved lives around the world and received a Bronze Star for his service.

"I like helping people," said Lakin. "And I've been, since college wanting to be in medical field and help others."

But a dispute over whether President Barack Obama was born in the United States led to Lakin being forced from the military and apparently led to the Kansas board in October denying him a medical license to practice in the Sunflower State.

The board repeatedly refused comment on their decision, but a transcript of Lakin's shows board members didn't concern themselves with Lakin's 18-year spotless medical record.

Sheriff Joe sets D-Day on Obama's eligibility

Following a Georgia judge’s ruling that Barack Obama is eligible to be on the state’s 2012 Democratic Party presidential ballot, the front lines in the continuing eligibility battle are being fought in Arizona.

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio told WND today his office has scheduled a news conference in Phoenix for March 1 to release findings of the Cold Case Posse that has been investigating Barack Obama’s birth certificate and eligibility to be president.

Arpaio declined to release to WND any of the posse’s conclusions in advance of the press conference, although he is on record saying the findings may be “shocking” to many.

Celebrating Might Makes Right: The Battle Hymn of the Republic & John Brown

Mike Scruggs
A decorated Air Force combat veteran, he not only lived through the hellish anti-aircraft environment of low-level armed reconnaissance and attack missions over the Ho Chi Minh Trail, he was one of the few to bail out of a burning propeller-driven A-26 attack bomber at night over enemy territory and live to tell about it.

He served as an intelligence officer and navigator in the USAF from 1961 to 1969. While serving in the 606th Air Commando Squadron as an A-26 crewmember, he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Purple Heart, and Air Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster.
========

Every year on the Sunday nearest July 4th millions of Americans in all sections of the country attend their local churches and sing the favorite patriotic hymn, The Battle Hymn of the Republic. This hymn is a frequent part of church services around Veterans Day and other national holidays and patriotic celebrations. It was a great favorite following the 9-11 tragedy in 2001. Yet the words of this famous hymn were not written by a Christian. They were written by a Unitarian that had rejected both the divinity and unique redeeming work of Christ.

Many Christians might find it shocking that Julia Ward Howe, the authoress of the famous words of the Battle Hymn of the Republic, was not a Christian, but a Unitarian. She was in fact not only a Unitarian, but a universalist and transcendentalist, a common combination of the times. As such she did not believe in the inspiration and authority of Scripture, the divinity and uniqueness of Christ as Savior, or the need for any redemption from sin. Unitarians believe in the basic goodness of man, rejecting the Scriptural Doctrine of Original Sin. Hence Unitarians do not acknowledge any need for redemption. Like modern liberalism, Unitarianism is humanistic and man-centered rather than God-centered. Julia Ward Howe believed that Christ was merely a great teacher and wonderful person with no claim to deity.

Unitarians generally believe in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of all men. They basically trust in their own wisdom and their own righteousness. Being generally universalists, they do not believe in hell. Frequently also transcendentalists, they were greatly into mysticism, séances, and various forms of unorthodox meditation. Such was Julia Ward Howe.

But we can get a clearer picture of Julia Ward Howe’s unorthodox beliefs by examining some of her own statements.

Not until the Civil War did I officially join the Unitarian Church and accept the fact that Christ was merely a great teacher with no higher claim to preeminence in wisdom, goodness, and power than many other men.”

Having rejected the exclusive doctrine that made Christianity and special forms of it the only way of spiritual redemption, I now accept the belief that not only Christians but all human beings, no matter what their religion, are capable of redemption.”

These same heresies are very common in America and Europe today, especially in liberal churches, the government, media and academic establishments.

Mrs. Howe and her husband, Dr. Samuel Gridley Howe, were early and apparently radical enthusiasts of the abolition movement. They were admirers of John Brown, an Old Testament quoting fellow Unitarian, fanatic abolitionist, terrorist, and grizzly murderer of Kansas farm families suspected of Southern sympathies. Just before

John Brown was hanged for his murderous raid on Harper’s Ferry, Virginia (now West Virginia); Mrs. Howe had this to say about him:

John Brown will glorify the gallows like Jesus glorified the Cross.”

Mrs. Howe borrowed the tune of the Battle Hymn of the Republic from a song the Union Army troops were fond of singing on the march, John Brown’s Body. It too, glorified the self-righteous murderer of innocent Kansas families. Brown was hanged by the U. S. government for his crimes in Kansas and attempt to start a bloody slave uprising in Virginia.

John Brown’s murders in Kansas, his murderous attempt at starting a slave revolt in Virginia, and his subsequent hanging did much to stir up distrust between North and South. A sizeable segment of the Northern press made Brown into an abolitionist hero.

This glorification of Brown was taken up my many Northern pulpits, especially the Unitarians so closely allied with the radical abolitionist movement. They were joined by many prominent Northern literary leaders with close links to Unitarianism and the leadership of the radical abolitionist movement.

Ralph Waldo Emerson said something very similar to Julia Ward Howe, calling Brown a saint and a martyr whowill make the gallows as glorious as the cross.”

Henry David Thoreau made this connection between Christ and the Charles Manson-like butcher and murderer, John Brown:

Some eighteen hundred years ago Christ was crucified; this morning, perchance, Captain Brown was hung. These are the two ends of a chain which is not without its links. He is not Old Brown any longer; he is an angel of light.”

It is not without significance that these two writers are usually required reading in public high schools. It is a tragedy that many Christian schools naively hold them up as models of moral wisdom as well as literary greats. It is all part of a quiet, ongoing Reconstruction. But I digress.

Christians should pay careful attention to some of the words of The Battle Hymn of the Republic. It is bad theology. It is essentially a self-righteous and imperialistic theology that justifies war, destruction, and vengeance as a means to reform other peoples and other nations in violation of their national sovereignty. While Scripture says that “vengeance belongs to the Lord,” this hymn glorifies the self-anointed vengeance of the self-righteous. It makes military force a proper means of imposing a confusion of Christian and humanistic ideals. It celebrates Might makes Right.

Of course Southerners should recognize that the Battle Hymn indirectly depicts the South as an evil that needs trampling down by the glorious and righteous Union Army doing the work of God. Many of Julia Ward Howe’s words in the Battle Hymn were inspired by her observation of the vast encampments, numbers, and arms of the Union Army. It was a glorious sight to her. The Battle Hymn was well received in the North because it put a righteous face on what was really a struggle to maintain Northern political and economic dominance over the South and to block Southern Independence. It was perfect propaganda for the Union and the world.

Unfortunately the vast majority of Christian churches have bought into that propaganda for many years. It is propaganda that has become even more entrenched as the events that inspired it have become more historically distant. The little that most people know or are taught in high school and college about the so-called “Civil War” is largely propaganda. That propaganda must now also support the modern tenets of humanistic liberalism that dominate so much of society, educational institutions, government, and yes, our churches. The Battle Hymn of the Republic has become an indispensable tool

for teaching and reinforcing politically correct history and thinking.

The degree to which the singing of the Battle Hymn of the Republic is so prevalent in evangelical churches today is symptomatic of the statism and nationalism that have become part of the syncretistic theology now so common in the modern evangelical church. That there is so little opposition or controversy to its singing in evangelical churches is due largely to ignorance. Yet that ignorance is in itself indicative of a negligent indifference to sound theology. It also unmasks the prevailing comfortable political correctness that values respectability more highly than truth. It reveals an increasing moral cowardice in confronting any issue of truth that does not meet the favor of the dominant molders of public opinion. It is a negligent moral blindness that often rises to the level of deliberate moral blindness rather than risk criticism. But authentic faith is invisible without courage.

Although the music itself is inspiring and many of the words beautiful poetry, a substantial segment of the underlying theme and many of the words are very bad theology and an instrument of unworthy propaganda. The music is so stirring I wish someone would write less questionable words to it. But as it stands now, not only should Southerners not sing the Battle Hymn, no Northern Christian or any Christian from anywhere in the world should sing it. No one with a right sense of truth, honor, and justice should sing it. Might does not make right, and reformers who want to impose their sense of righteousness on other peoples and nations by means of armed force are not on the side of God.
