The King and the Fool

The King of Rock and Roll brought himself up by his bootstraps, served Uncle Sam as a soldier and before his early demise came he had made an honest fortune for himself and many others. For that, he is belittled by those who hardly knew him.

Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo Mississippi in 1935 as the surviving twin son of Vernon and Gladys Presley. His twin, Jesse was stillborn. He grew up in a two-room house and when he was 13 moved with his family to Memphis.

Presley’s rendition of “That’s All Right” by black delta blues writer Arthur Crudup was the beginning for Presley’s career. Presley spoke often of his love and appreciation of black music and black artists.

John Chodes, author of Segregation–Federal Policy or Racism? (Shotwell Publishing, Columbia, South Carolina, noted the Union League on page 26 of that book. He said: “The Union League began as a political club in New York in 1863 to revive the sagging patriotic spirit of the Northern states during the War for Southern Independence. It’s philosophies were similar to the Radical Republicans so it fused with and became part of Republican vote-building machine for blacks in the post-war South…The Union League’s expenses were covered by the sale of confiscated white Southerners’ property, thus inciting the volunteers to harass the people in time of peace by unlawful seizure to provide the means of paying themselves. This further alienated whites from blacks.” In other words, the Union Leagues were “legal” Yankee/Marxist thieves.

Paul Gosar: No Downside for Trump in Shutting Down Government to Get Full Wall Funding

 

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) told Breitbart News that President Donald Trump should use his presidential veto power to force funding for construction of a southern border wall, offering his remarks in a Thursday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak.

Gosar said, “[GOP] leadership has capitulated to what the Democrats want” in relation to appropriations for the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border. “I hope [Donald Trump] holds his ground because, unfortunately, I think our leadership has folded the towel,” he added.

Gosar remarked, “It always seems like the Democrats outplay us on this because we’re not willing to hold ground and play tough. It’s the most disgusting thing you’ve ever seen.”

Blue State Blues: Democrats Stole the Election in California — Legally, Through ‘Ballot Harvesting’

 

California Democrats “stole” the midterm election using a new method that is illegal elsewhere but completely legal in the Golden State: a practice called “ballot harvesting,” which allows third parties to submit mail-in ballots for voters.

It sounds “bizarre,” as outgoing Speaker of the House Paul Ryan (R-WI) described it to the Washington Post on Thursday — but it is absolutely true: Democratic operatives handed in pile after pile of other people’s ballots.

And Demorats are proud of it, mocking Republicans for failing to take advantage of a new law signed by Governor Jerry Brown in 2016, over GOP objections, that allows “ballot harvesting,” and which some Republicans are now blaming for their defeat.

The practice explains several mysteries about the 2018 election, such as: why mail-in ballots caused massive shifts toward Democrats in races Republicans thought they won on Election Night; why Republicans won the turnout battle in the primary, but lost it in the general election; and why Democrats with party backing defeated fellow Democrats without it — even when the latter had more money.

Earlier this morning, President Donald J. Trump signed a three-way trade deal with Mexico and Canada that will replace the outdated NAFTA if it is approved by Congress. “Trump signed the U.S. Mexico Canada trade agreement in Argentina on the side of the G-20 summit,” Pete Kasperowicz reports in the Washington Examiner.

“This is a model agreement that changes the trade landscape forever, and this is an agreement that first and foremost benefits working people, something of great importance to all three of us here today,” the President said.

Federal Bump Stock Ban Is Coming Soon, Real Soon! 90 Days to Turn ‘Em In!

 

Idiots, I guess they'll have to ban rubber bands after this since they can accomplish much the same thing.

The federal ban on bump stocks is coming soon. Real soon. “In the coming days,” according to a CNN Exclusive.

What this means is owners of reciprocating devices will have 90 days to destroy them, render them permanently inoperable or turn ’em over to authorities.  Or else?

Or else risk being charged with unlawful possession of a machine gun which is a crime punishable by up to 10 years in prison, according to the DOJ.

It lags in many things, but the speed of advance, the intense focus on progess, is remarkable.

Cambodia was mainly at peace until Lon Nol overthrew Prince Sihanouk. Up until that time, one could drive to Angkor Wat (Mrs. Kennedy was enthralled with it) or the beach, something that still wasn't possible/recommended the last time I was there in the autumn of '94/spring of '95. The border area was certainly not peaceful, but the fighting was between the NVA/VC versus the Americans/ Vietnam Cong Hoa soldiers. The Cambodians had little to do with it.Kerry's contention that he delivered arms to the Khmer Dau {Rouge} while Sihanouk was still in power is a blatant lie, as they weren't around. (*"the Khmer Rouge didn't take the field until the Easter Of ensive of 1972") What is strange is that Kerry was caught with a different lie on the same subject last year. (That they shot at him. You'd think if he was bringing them arms they wouldn't!)

Kerry is baffling. Of course, a liar can't remember what lies he has told, so they make mistakes; however, he obviously would remember the Khmer Dau {Rouge} problem from last year, but for some reason won't let it go, although it has been historically proven that these incidences could not have happened. The Khmer Dau {Rouge} were responsible for 1 to 3 million deaths depending on the estimator. FBI Raids Home Of Whistleblower On Clinton Foundation, Lawyer Says

 Cain informed the agent while he was still at the door that he was a recognized protected whistleblower under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act and that Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz recognized his whistleblower status, according to Socarras.

 Cain further told the FBI agent the potentially damaging classified information had been properly transmitted to the Senate and House Intelligence committees as permitted under the act, Socarras said. The agent immediately directed his agents to begin a sweep of the suburban home, anyway.

The FBI raided the home of a whistleblower who was in possession of documents regarding the Clinton Foundation and Uranium One, according to the whistleblower’s lawyer, Michael Socarras.

The whistleblower, Dennis Nathan Cain, had turned the documents over to the Department of Justice’s inspector general and both the House and Senate Intelligence committees, according to the lawyer.

The FBI rummaged through Cain’s home for six hours, even after the whistleblower handed over the documents, according to Socarras.
