Armed Rebels Massacre Entire Population of Christian Village in Syria
Armed rebels attacked a village in Syria's Western province of Homs and slaughtered all its Christian residents on Monday.
The armed rebels affiliated to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) raided the Christian-populated al-Duvair village in Reef (outskirts of) Homs near the border with Lebanon today and massacred all its civilian residents, including women and children.
The
Syrian army, however, intervened and killed tens of terrorists during
heavy clashes which are still going on in al-Duvair village.
The
armed rebels' attack and crimes in al-Duvair village came after they
sustained heavy defeats in al-Qusseir city which has almost been set
free by the Syrian army except for a few districts.

Two excellent Memorial Day comments on Vietnam
I know the feelings of which that
vet spoke. I was not fortunate enough to have been stationed in Tokyo
during the period of the Vietnam war, but saw nothing but death and
destruction of human beings, the whole time I was in Vietnam. Those who
have never been in a war zone, have no idea of the carnage that takes
place nor the suffering of all who are exposed to the horrendous results
of war.
One can watch movies and news reports from a war zone, but they truly have no idea of what it is like being there and how it affects mankind.
While I was in Vietnam, I met many of the locals and promised that we would bring them freedom and all of the suffering would be worth the pain and sorrow, once freedom was attained. Many questioned my faith in believing that such an end result was realistic. After being under foreign control for several centuries, they had learned their lessons when it came to relying on politicians and governments. I was yet to learn that lesson, until I saw our own nation and government, turn on our own troops. It was a lesson that decimated my soul for nearly a quarter of a century.
I still have memories of the horrific events of that war, not only seeing them in my minds eye, but also hearing them, and I wonder why mankind persists in bringing about destruction of their own species, through unnecessary wars, for the purpose of their ideological beliefs and desires? I reason that there has to be a better way, but I have yet to discover what the solution is. I do know that creating more wars, is not the answer!
Because evil abounds in the heart of mankind, I know that war will be a continual threat to the survival of mankind, but it should only be the result of the last order and in the defense of national security and freedom. I would emphasize the word national, as meaning only that of one's own nation and not that of the world. I firmly believe that the meddling of sovereign nations in the business of other sovereign nations, only incites war. In my lifetime, I have found this to be true with countries such as the Axis nations, the USSR and the U.S. as well.
George Washington our first president of this sovereign Republic, warned us about forming alliances and getting involved in the business of other nations. He was right and it is unfortunate that our leaders have failed to heed his warning over the last couple of centuries. Their lack of common sense and wisdom, will soon bring our Republic, sovereignty and freedom, to an end.

I wasn't there. I was a kid at home. I saw the country split and the chaos that followed.
But, there is something I want to say to the Vietnam vets. You were right. You won the war you were sent to fight. Vietnam would be a better place today and millions of Vietnamese and Cambodians would be alive, if our congress had not abandoned the victory you won and our South Vietnamese allies.
New scholarship that has the advantage of seeing the North Vietnamese archives proves that you won the war. Gen. Abrams did devise the right strategy. The South Vietnamese defeated the North Vietnamese invasion in 1972 with the aid of crucial US airpower and resupply.
Kissinger brought South Vietnam to the "peace" table with the promise of continued air support and supply. The fall of Nixon and the rise of the Democratic Congress of 74 made a liar out of America. We abandoned Vietnam to its fate. As the Democrats celebrated their 'victory," the PAVN prepared for theirs. With massive support from China and the Soviets they were able to overwhelm the ARVN forces the US had abandoned.
No Vietnam Vet is responsible for the loss of Vietnam. It was abandoned to its fate, just as we have now abandoned Iraq to its.
You fight was a noble cause. Vietnam today jailed another blogger. It is a tyranny. Though not the madhouse of North Korea, it is far from free. Whatever criticisms of the effort are valid, the fundamental fact remains, your victory offered greater freedom and prosperity to millions.

House Judiciary investigating whether Holder lied under oath
The House Judiciary Committee is investigating whether Attorney General Eric Holder lied under oath during his May 15 testimony on the Justice Department’s (DOJ) surveillance of reporters, an aide close to the matter told The Hill.
The panel is looking at a statement Holder made during a back and forth with Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) about whether the DOJ could prosecute reporters under the Espionage Act of 1917.
“In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material -- this is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy,” Holder said during the hearing.
However, NBC News reported last week that Holder personally approved a search warrant that labeled Fox News chief Washington correspondent James Rosen a co-conspirator in a national security leaks case.
The panel is investigating whether NBC’s report contradicts Holder’s claim that he had not looked into or been involved with a possible prosecution of the press in a leaks case.

Confidential report lists U.S. weapons system designs compromised by Chinese cyberspies
Designs for many of the nation’s most sensitive advanced weapons systems have been compromised by Chinese hackers, according to a report prepared for the Pentagon and to officials from government and the defense industry.
Among more than two dozen major weapons systems whose designs were breached were programs critical to U.S. missile defenses and combat aircraft and ships, according to a previously undisclosed section of a confidential report prepared for Pentagon leaders by the Defense Science Board.
Experts warn that the electronic intrusions gave China access to advanced technology that could accelerate the development of its weapons systems and weaken the U.S. military advantage in a future conflict.

Max V's 2 Day Tactical Rifle/Contact Drill Course
05/28/13
Compiled: Sandman, callsign Wolfhound.
After Action Report: May 25th-26th
Location:*Redacted*, Hampshire County, WV
Weather: Partly Cloudy, 60-70 degrees, moderate humidity, gusty winds.
Background: This AAR will be non-standard and include personal details that will not violate OPSEC/PERSEC for OVM-CVM. Any shared data will be already accessible in the public domain.
I was not sure what to expect after signing up for this course. By way of background, I am a 52 year old smoker. I work long hours as a desk jockey, and have about 8-10 extra pounds on the old belt-line. (blame that on my wife's great cooking). I have no military background and have never done any competitive shooting or athletics.
On the flip side, I do have 35 years of shooting and firearms experience. I have worked with the AR, AK, G3 and SKS platforms at varying levels. I exercise weekly and am in better shape that 80% of the guys my age (or so the wife tells me). I have 15 years of prepping experience with everything from building solar and water filtration systems to setting up defensive Homesteads. I have read voraciously throughout my life about Military theory, history, and practice. My collection includes works from Sun Tzu and Clausewitz up to Bracken and Max himself. I continue to remain humble and realistic though about my personal skill and knowledge level.
I also happen to be the Elected CO of our local Militia. I think the folks elected me for my organizational skills, leadership style, and the fact that no one else wanted the job. Our unit spans four counties in the Appalachians along the Ohio River Valley. My teams are made up of blue-collar folks, who are dedicated to protecting their families and homes from whatever threats may arise, whether man-made or natural. We have some veterans, but no combat vets. We train monthly in SUT, rifle drills, movement drills and all the TTPs of an irregular fighter. Most of this knowledge comes to me by way of the Ranger Handbook (my bible) and other manuals of common tasks. We also get our families involved and focus on prepping too.
So, I approached this course with dual motives. I wanted to validate what I have been teaching my folks, and I wanted to test my skills in a challenging environment. As a father, husband and Militia Commander I owed it to my tribe to give it my best shot.
Preparation: After signing up for the course and sending my deposit to Max I began a basic run down on his equipment list. Most of the gear required was already loaded on my LBV and battle-belt. I did make some modifications, such as removing an E&E kit from my belt, and adding a dump pouch. I also stripped my ruck down to bare essentials, cleaning kit, spare parts etc. Once I felt my gear was good, I spent thirty days (exactly one month) with basic cardio/calisthenics. Pushups, situps, crunches, light weights and such. Mainly I wanted to up my endurance a bit and try to prepare physically for some exertion.
Road trip, Accommodations, and local observations:
I had an uneventful four and half hour drive. None of my unit members or staff could make the trip at this time due to family and work commitments. I stayed at the South Branch Inn in Romney WV. It was a bit dated, but clean. The staff was helpful and not too weirded out by my kit and cammo. Local stores and restaurants were good and people were friendly. One thing I did notice was prevalent LEO activity.
There must be a State Police and Sheriff's Office close by because I saw a lot of both. No problems with them, just be aware of local speed laws. (some 25 mph zones) If I made a right turn out of the
hotel parking lot it was a straight shot to the meeting spot. (about 10 minutes back through town and out the other side).
Day 1:
I arrived about 15 minutes early and most participants were already waiting at the roadside. We had a good mix of folks; One team of four guys from Georgia, a married couple from up North, Four gentlemen of varying ages and abilities and myself. After a few minutes I gauged all as patriots, and most very competent with prepping and weapon skills. (amazing how us patriot types can size each other up in short order). Shortly after introductions, Max arrived and we moved on to the training site.
The road was rough, but any vehicle with moderate clearance should not have a problem. In wet weather I would recommend four wheel drive. Parking at the site was a rough lot with room for plenty of vehicles. We actually ran about 15 minutes ahead of schedule, which was okay as it gave folks a chance to make last minute gear adjustments. I also passed out some contact cards and III Precenter.com RESIST stickers.
The training itself was awesome, and that is not a word I use lightly (or even frequently). Max has a friendly style that can not hide his vast wealth of tactical knowledge. This guy has been there. He was firm but fair both in instruction and constructive criticism. I will include an agenda list below with notes I took. Otherwise It would be impossible to cover all the topics, side-topics and info we went over. It was an avalanche of pointers and skill-sets, but given in such a way that it did not feel like a chore to learn.
Max did not talk down to anyone, nor did I see him at any time lose his temper or be disrespectful. My brain did go into overdrive quite a few times as I tried to sponge up the vast amount of instruction. It was like a week long course crammed into two days. But let me stress that while it was challenging, interesting and tiring, it was never overwhelming or boring. Some of the best moments were the interaction of the course participants. (Anyone need some 'my lil pony purple' tape?). Rest periods and class instruction were frequent but not distracting. Safety was top notch and I did not see any sweeping or mishandling as is common in some quarters of the Patriot community. Everyone was
intelligent, knowledgeable and friendly. There was a competitive atmosphere without any pettiness.
The following is a sort of stream of thought agenda based on my hastily scrawled notes, but it should give anyone a basic understanding or the depth of the course.
Safety Brief – standard stuff, reinforced throughout the weekend. Weapon carry, muzzle position, prone, kneeling, standing.

The following is a sort of stream of thought agenda based on my hastily scrawled notes, but it should give anyone a basic understanding or the depth of the course.
Safety Brief – standard stuff, reinforced throughout the weekend. Weapon carry, muzzle position, prone, kneeling, standing.
Combat shooting Principles- good basics- breathing, site picture, controlled pairing of shots, etc.
Combat shooting/Reaction Drills- Dry walk thru, then live fire. (Dash-Crawl-Observe-Sights-Fire)
Intro Fire & Movement- Dry. Great Instruction, easy to understand diagrams. S-P-O-R-T-S RTR- Return fire, Take Cover, Return accurate fire. (in my head this translates as: Reaction fire, MOVE-Take Cover, Return aimed fire) This was stressed alot during the whole course, GET OFF THE X).
Fire & Movement: Individual and Pairs- Live. Small Range, static and pop-up targets. Practice RTR.
Get to COVER. Concealment vs. Cover.
Reaction Drills/ Conact Drills- Don't get tunnel vision, stoppage= GET TO COVER. Don't assume target will stay down.
End of day- Debrief and coaching. Great session, lots of cross talk about what we learned/discovered.
Max took some extra time to do a basic TCC lecture covering HABC, tourniquets, celox, pressure bandages, etc. Very good basic info that most participants were familiar with. Some folks went out to dinner, I was sweaty and beat. Back to hotel and crashed early.
Day 2:
Same rendezvous procedure, same time and place.
Day two was hard and fast. Lots of live fire and movement. Participants had really bonded by this point and saw a few high fives and fist bumps, after some heavy action. Day 2 was focused and we got a lot done. Safety was first and Max made sure everyone stayed hydrated and rested. Day two we focused
on the “Jungle Walk” which was an uphill trail, with well hidden pop-ups and littered with debris and stumps. This forced people to watch their footing and the surrounding hillsides. Focusing on near/far target acquisition. It was very challenging since the target appearance was variable and the forest canopy lighting plays tricks on the eyes. It was a blast. ( for the record, I had no intention of having fun, it was a pure byproduct of successful training).
Contact Drills- Breaking Contact, pairs.
Offensive Action Drills- Individual/Pairs.
Contact Drills- Breaking Contact Pairs.
The drills covered 3 post SHTF scenarios, that were well thought out and realistic. I could easily put myself in the position Max had foreseen. Needless to say by now we were feeling the effects of
adrenaline burn, uphill fighting, and frequent hasty ambushes and LACE checks. (Liquids, Ammo, Casualty, Equipment) but the lessons went well into the afternoon. Max even ran some four man
patrols thru the course and that produced some learning moments and lively action.
This report is long enough and I just cannot say enough good things about this course. As a refresher for professionals, or as a hard core lesson for novices. Max can work it either way. He was
Professional, patient, willing to work at the different paces that participants could manage. It was gritty, realistic and exhausting. I am happy to report that the training did show that much of what my Militia folks have trained for is still valid. (plenty of room for improvement) The course closed out around 5pm and folks made their farewells. Lots of new friends and contacts. The best contact was Max himself, a true Old Style Patriot. I am glad he chose to become an American and I am glad to have him in our AO.
Lessons Learned:
Gear failure- I had one double feed on my S&W MP15. May have been due to bad mag lips. Will check after clean up. Had to ditch my battle belt after day 1, the cushion waist-pad shredded from the strain of diving and rolling on it. It was 50$ Condor pad. It will be replaced by Blackhawk or similar.
Don't cut corners on gear, you get what you pay for. Rest of my gear worked as intended.
Tactical- COVER...The most important lessons were not even shooting related but survival related.Get to cover, stay low, use folds in the ground. Move to different firing positions, even it is just
sideways prone wiggle. A few inches means his bullet may hit air instead of your head. Communicate with your team-mates. If you are getting low on ammo, let them know so they can cover you. It is a bad feeling to have multiple weapons go down at once. Watch your lanes, people tend to bunch up under stress, avoid moving near others. This presents the danger of blue on blue, as well as making you easier targets. There are just too many good points to get out, my head is still spinning. My best advice is to save your change, put off the vacation, sell some toys, BUT TAKE THIS COURSE.

Issa subpoenas State Dept. documents on Benghazi talking points
Via Angry Mike
House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.) has subpoenaed State Department documents related to the Benghazi talking points, according to a letter sent to Secretary of State John Kerry obtained by The Hill In the letter, Issa states that the department's release of 100 emails earlier this month was "incomplete." Issa demands that Kerry produce "relevant documents through subpoena. The enclosed subpoena covers documents and the communications related to talking points prepared for members of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence and used by Ambassador Susan Rice during her September 16th, 2012, appearances on CBS, NBC, ABC, Fox, and CNN."
Issa said that the documents released on May 20 did not answer "critical" questions posed by the committee as it investigates what happened during the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, and the aftermath of that terror attack that killed former U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stephens and three other Americans.
More than one week after the attack, Rice took to the airwaves to blame the attack on a protest over an anti-Islam video, denying that it had anything to do with terrorism, despite the CIA's belief that the attack was caused by terrorists.
Issa wants details of emails between key State Department officials, including then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's chief of staff, Cheryl Mills, Deputy Secretary of State William Burns, Deputy Assistant Secretary Philippe Reines and then-State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, among others.
The subpoena compels the State Department to produce the documents by June 7

Switch It Up Day! Girls dress like boys and boys dress like girls!
Via Angry Mike
Coming to your elementary school........
Deidri Hernandez’s seven-year-old son won’t be in school today, after
officials at Tippecanoe School for the Arts and Humanities confirmed
they’re still holding “Switch It Up Day” – a time for students to come
dressed as members of the opposite sex.
Hernandez tells EAGnews the day was originally billed as “Gender
Bender Day,” but Tippecanoe officials made the name change after she
called Principal Jeffrey Krupar to complain.
The Milwaukee mother was not impressed.
“I didn’t have a problem with the title. I had a problem with the activity taking place,” Hernandez says.
She says it’s “ridiculous” and “creepy” to ask elementary boys to come to school dressed as girls, and vice versa, and predicts that having students dress as “transvestites” will distract from the learning process. Hernandez knows of at least one other parent who shares her concerns and plans to hold her child out of class, too.
But it’s the motivation behind “Switch It Up Day” that has Hernandez most concerned.
She wonders if it is being done to promote the acceptance of homosexuality to students in school, which runs from pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. Hernandez thinks it’s inappropriate to expose young children to these issues, even in a light-hearted manner.
“They might as well call it ‘Transgender Day,’” she says.

Detroit Gun Rights Advocates Stage Successful Protest At ‘Guns For Groceries’ Event
Via midnightrider
This past Saturday, May 18th, 2013, approximately 50 gun rights activists attended a “Guns for Groceries” event to stage a demonstration of their own against the Wayne County (MI) government.
The Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano and the Wayne County Sheriff Benny Napoleon teamed up with a local church (The New St. Paul Tabernacle Church of God in Christ), the Meijer’s grocery store chain, and the Goodman-Acker law firm to entice citizens to turn in their guns on a “no questions asked” basis.
All month long commercials were being run over the airwaves seeking to convince Detroit residents that the cause of the violence in their town was guns owned by them. Thus, if they wanted to reduce the amount of violent crime in Detroit, the “obvious” solution floated by the local county government was for everybody to sell their firearms for a $50 gift card to buy groceries at Meijer’s.
Local Detroit gun rights activists, however, know the truth about these “guns for goods” program ran by local governments all across our country:
The protest was an instant success: Cars that carried people looking for the church had to drive by the gun rights activists in the parking lot. As such, many people pulled over and were willing to part with their firearms for cash, often more than $50, instead of a gift card for groceries.

- They encourage firearm thefts because no questions will be asked.
- They potentially lead to the destruction of evidence used in crimes.
- They lead to the destruction of personal property of the rightful owners.
- They consume public resources that could be used to fight crime.
- They exploit the poor by offering $50 for potentially valuable hardware.
- They mislead the public by creating only a “feel good” fluff story in the media.
The protest was an instant success: Cars that carried people looking for the church had to drive by the gun rights activists in the parking lot. As such, many people pulled over and were willing to part with their firearms for cash, often more than $50, instead of a gift card for groceries.

Nurse admits murdering 11: ‘One of the country’s worst mass murderers’
“An Australian nurse has become one of the country’s worst mass murderers after admitting starting a fire in a nursing home that killed 11 patients.”
The nurse admitted to having murdered 11 people and having caused bodily harm to eight more on the first day of his trial while family members of his victims were in tears.
“Dean, 37, dressed in a black suit and blue tie, entered pleas of guilty to 11 counts of murder and eight charges of recklessly causing grievous bodily harm in a soft and solemn tone.”
On Nov. 18, 2011, the same nurse was seen on the news talking to reporters about his role in rescuing trapped and hurt victims of the fire. He told reporters that he “quickly did what I could to get everyone out. The smoke was just overwhelming but, you know, we got a lot of people out, so that's the main thing.”

Man shoots daughters: Vietnam war vet Anthony Alvarez commits murder-suicide on Memorial Day
A man has shot his two adult daughters in Memorial Day shootings that have shocked the local California community where the shootings took place.
Anthony Alvarez, 63, was an honored Vietnam Veteran who had been awarded the Purple Heart for his service.
It is currently unknown why, but early on Monday morning Alvarez allegedly snapped and got out a gun, shooting his two grown up daughters.
Mother of three, 37 year old Jennifer Kimble, and her sister, 33 year old Valerie Alvarez, were found by authorities with gunshot wounds.
Jennifer's three young children were in the house at the time of the shootings. According to reports, Jennifer was shot multiple times and died from her injuries, where as Valerie was shot at least once, but survived and was later rushed to a local hospital for treatment.
After shooting his daughters, Anthony Alvarez, then turned the gun on himself, shooting himself dead in the home.

Charlie Daniels unloads on Obama's 'cowardice'
“If the IRS gets off scot free, the Benghazi thing is let go and the Justice Department getting into these reporters’ lives is let go, we’re finished,” Daniels concluded. “I mean, it’s just gone: nothing going to be done about nothing, and they can do anything they want to and we’re just at their mercy.”
========
Country-music legend Charlie Daniels isn’t buying the White House line that President Obama simply “didn’t know” about the scandalous actions plaguing his administration.
But in an exclusive interview with WND, the ever-outspoken Daniels blasted the president’s “excuses.”
“If I had a drunk bus driver, for instance, and I told everybody, ‘Don’t tell me about that, I don’t want to know about it,’ and that way if we get sued I can say, ‘I didn’t know it,’ basically that’s got to be what’s happened,” Daniels said. “[But] when you hide behind plausible deniability, that is not leadership. That is cowardice. You’re not leading the country, you’re misleading the country.”
Daniels further charged the blame-shifting is “pervasive” throughout the Obama administration.
“Look at the so-called attorney general, who should have been held to task a long time ago, for one thing, not prosecuting the Black Panthers standing in front of the polling place,” Daniels said. “Then we have Fast & Furious, then we have this thing in Benghazi, then we have the IRS thing – it’s one thing after another. This administration is out of control!
“People have, with reason – regardless of whether they support the presidential administration or not – lost any kind of trust,” Daniels said. “If someone says something, you don’t know if it’s true, if they mean it, if they don’t mean it. As far as what’s going on right now, we don’t have a leader.”

The PRA and the CRPD Both Advance
The Parental Rights Amendment (PRA) has been drafted and is being circulated in the House as Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) secures original cosponsors. We are very pleased with its early progress: in just 4 days before Congress went on recess, the PRA list of cosponsors reached double digits. (Rep. Frank Wolf of Virginia, the tenth cosponsor, signed on last Friday.)
Meanwhile, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) has shown that it is still a threat to American parental rights. Senior staff connected to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee have told Mike Farris face-to-face that a series of three hearings on the CRPD is planned to start sometime in June. Regardless of the exact date, there is no doubt this treaty will be returning soon. The time for action is now!
Action Items: Visit or Call
First, call or visit your congressman and invite them to cosponsor the Parental Rights Amendment. Let them (or their staff) know to contact Patrick Fleming in Rep. Mark Meadows’ office for more information or to sign on in support. If they ask for a bill number, point out that we are seeking original cosponsors – a bill number has not yet been assigned.
If your congressman agrees to cosponsor, let them know that if they include Michael@parentalrights.org on their email to Rep. Meadows’ staff, we will update our website immediately to reflect their support.
To find contact information for your congressman, visit ParentalRights.org/states and click on your state. Then, click on the link to your congressman’s website for specific local offices and give them a call. If you can, try to enlist a few friends to go with you for a brief 5-10 minute visit.
Then, call or visit your senators and urge them to reject ratification of the CRPD. Let them know you care too much about American sovereignty and parental rights to ratify any treaty that would dictate U.S. domestic law over our families. If they deny that the CRPD would have this effect, urge them to take the time to be absolutely sure. And if they tell you our ratification will only create changes in other nations, ask them politely to show you the article that empowers the U.S. to govern other nations if we ratify the treaty.
You can find your senators’ contact information through ParentalRights.org/States by clicking on your state, then on the web link next to your senators’ names. Please gather a few friends and schedule a 5-10 minute visit in your senators’ local offices.
We will keep a close eye on both of these in the days ahead. We will watch with excitement as the list of PRA cosponsors grows, and we will keep you alerted to any movement on the CRPD. (When it arises, we plan to host events in D.C. and locally to help ensure its defeat. Please plan to join us if you can, and we will get you the dates as soon as we know them!)

Thank you for standing with us to protect parental rights and American sovereignty from international intrusion.
Sincerely,

GRNC radio spots countering UNC opposition to HB 937 will run in Raleigh, Greensboro and Asheville
University of North Carolina president Tom Ross continues to fight campus carry provisions of House Bill 937. As you recall, the bill, which passed the NC House and now resides in the Senate, contains restaurant carry, a limited measure for guns in locked vehicles on state university campuses, and other pro-gun initiatives. When HB 937 received its hearing in a House Judiciary Committee meeting, representatives for NC State testified that it would hinder campus security's efforts to "protect" students, echoing opposition previously expressed to the media by Ross. Just hours after their testimony, however, a student was raped outside the NCSU Free Expression Tunnel and, two days later, another was robbed at knife point near Reynolds Coliseum, demonstrating clearly that UNC can't "protect" students, who must therefore be allowed to protect themselves. Next, the Civitas Institute revealed that Ross was previously director of the hard-left Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation which funded, among other "Blueprint NC" causes, North Carolinians "Against Gun Violence." Moreover, two UNC campuses -- Chapel Hill and Elizabeth City -- are under federal investigation for under-reporting violent crime, including sexual assaults. The chancellor of ECSU just resigned due to the scandal.
