Clint Eastwood casts men who stopped train attack to star in new film

Three real-life heroes will play themselves on the silver screen.

Clint Eastwood cast the three California men who thwarted a terror attack on a French train in 2015 to play themselves in a film about their heroics, the film's studio announced Tuesday.

Airman 1st Class Spencer Stone, Oregon National Guardsman Alek Skarlatos and civilian Anthony Sadler, all childhood friends from California, will star in "The 15:17 to Paris," a film based on the book they co-wrote about taking down a terrorist, Warner Bros. said in a statement.

The film, which began production this week, follows the lives of the three friends from childhood to the evening when they helped subdue the man who opened fire inside a train traveling from Amsterdam to Paris.

Watching Chris Wray answering questions before the Senate confirmation hearing gave me flashbacks to every other piece of work to sit in that chair.  Mueller, Freeh and Comey come to mind.  Who was the FBI Director during Fast and Furious? Mueller.  Who was the FBI Director during the subsequent investigation of the siege at Waco? Freeh. So, we look at that astounding record of incompetence or outright malfeasance and Chris Wray looks no different.

I don't know Wray's history, nor do I care.  The enduring fact is that the FBI is a cesspool filled with cover-ups, withheld information and obstruction of justice.  They have never successfully brought the truth to the American people through all of the scandals that have taken place, it has always been a court of law where wrongful deaths had been adjudicated that brought forth the truth of the Ruby Ridge incident. It was the wrongful deaths being adjudicated that brought out the truth of the Waco siege.  None of this was revealed due to a rigorous FBI investigation.

Co-founder of firm behind Trump-Russia dossier will not appear for scheduled Senate testimony

The co-founder of a firm behind an unverified intelligence dossier about President Trump and his relationship with Russia will not testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee next week, after he was scheduled to do so, according to a Politico report Thursday.

On Wednesday, the committee had announced a July 19 hearing that included Glenn Simpson, the co-founder of the political and corporate intelligence firm Fusion GPS, as a witness.

This request raised the expectation that Simpson would provide details about the dossier, which was said to have been collected during last year's presidential campaign.

Trump Jr. pitch was part of broad Russian effort

Two months before Donald Trump Jr.’s encounter with a Russian figure, a key House subcommittee chairman received a similar overture in Moscow offering derogatory information about a U.S. policy that was upsetting Vladimir Putin.

Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, a California Republican with a reputation as a Moscow ally in Congress, told The Hill the information he received in April 2016 came from the chief prosecutor in Moscow and painted an alternative picture of the Russian fraud case that led to the passage of anti-Russia legislation in Congress known as the Magnitsky Act.

“I had a meeting with some people, government officials, and they were saying, ‘Would you be willing to accept material on the Magnitsky case from the prosecutors in Moscow? ‘And I said, ‘Sure, I’d be willing to look at it,’” Rohrabacher recalled in an interview.

The congressman’s account provides the latest evidence that the overture to President Trump’s eldest son in June 2016 by a Russian lawyer named Natalia Veselnitskaya was part of a larger campaign by Moscow that predated the Trump Tower encounter and continued afterwards.

Radical left-wing icon former California Democratic Rep. Ron Dellums was a hired lobbyist for Natalia Veselnitskaya, the Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr. June 9, 2016, the Daily Caller News Foundation Investigative Group has learned.

Dellums, who represented liberal San Francisco and Oakland, Calif., is a long-time darling of left-wing political activists. He served 13 terms in Congress as an African-American firebrand and proudly called himself a socialist. He retired in 1996.

Poll: Number Of Pro-Life Advocates Is Increasing

A Gallup poll showed that Americans have been pretty evenly split on abortion for some time, but pro-life advocates have slowly grown their numbers, edging past those in favor of pro-choice views.
Gallup’s May 2017 poll revealed that 43 percent of Americans say abortion is morally acceptable, while 49 percent say it is morally wrong.

Gallup’s 2015 and 2016 annual polls showed that the percentage of pro-life proponents rose, while that of pro-choice advocates fell. The 2017 poll also shows that the number of independent pro-lifers has been increasing since 2001.

Norquist: ObamaCare taxes kept in health bill should be repealed in tax reform

Senate GOP leadership should pledge to repeal ObamaCare's taxes on high earners in tax-reform legislation since they were left in place in the chamber's revised healthcare bill, anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist said.

"All Obamacare taxes should be repealed," Norquist, the President of Americans for Tax Reform, said in a statement Thursday. "The Trump tax reform plan, the House health bill, and the original Senate health bill abolished the Obamacare 3.8% Net Investment Income Tax. Given the most recent language leaves some of the taxes in place, it is important for Senate Leadership to make it clear that those taxes will be abolished in tax reform this year."

Charlottesville Vice Mayor Cheers Violent Clashes With Police, Vows To Help Protestors Charged With Assaulting Police

During a rally in Charlottesville over the weekend, counter-protests turned violent.  After attempting to block streets, chanting obscenities, and tossing bottles and other items at the police, Charlottesville police arrested twenty-two individuals, and charged them with everything from obstructing justice to felony assault of a police officer.

Richmond's local Antifa group , Antifa Seven Hills, praised the actions of those who were arrested, and posted a request for help in paying their legal expenses, and calling for Charlottesville Mayor Signer to drop all charges.

Disgraced Charlottesville Vice-Mayor Wes Bellamy, who has led the push to attempt to remove the Lee and Jackson monuments in Charlottesville, instead of supporting his Police Chief and those who kept order on Saturday, made it clear that he sides with the violent protesters in his comments, shown below.

Trump admin approves oil company’s Arctic drilling plan

The Trump administration has approved an oil company’s new plan to drill for oil and natural gas in the Arctic Ocean north of Alaska.

The Interior Department's Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) announced the approval of Italian oil giant Eni SpA’s plan to drill exploratory wells from an existing artificial island in the Beaufort Sea about 15 miles northwest of Prudhoe Bay, as long as the company gets other federal and state approvals.

Eni is likely to start drilling in December and will only drill during the winter months to avoid some harm to wildlife.

Sen. Maria Cantwell (D., Wash.) used a misspelled visual aide slamming the Republicans' "War on Medicad" during a speech on the Senate floor Tuesday evening.

As Cantwell began to make a "second point" about the Senate Republican proposal to repeal Obamacare, one of her aides placed a large blue sign behind her that had "Medicaid" missing its second "i." If Cantwell noticed, she did not let on.

Justice Department announces 'largest heathcare fraud takedown in American history'

The Department of Justice on Thursday announced what Attorney General Jeff Sessions called the "largest healthcare fraud takedown operation in American history."

By working with inner Justice Department offices and the Department of Health and Human Services, the federal government charged 412 defendants accused of defrauding taxpayers of roughly $1.3 billion. The charges included 56 doctors, Session said.

Acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe said at a press conference Thursday that 29 bureau field offices around the country were involved, with an assist from more than 300 agents.

"The nation is in the midst of a crisis. Opioid abuse destroys lives," he said.

At least 120 of those charged were charged for their roles in "prescribing and distributing opioids and other dangerous narcotics."

At age 56, he had volunteered to be on the landing boats in order to give the young troops reassurance and to arm them with his same fortitude and courage.

Top Trump official warns special immigration status may end soon for a million people

 President Donald Trump's top immigration official warned Hispanic members of Congress Wednesday that over a million people living in the United States under a special protected status could soon be placed in line for deportation.

Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly told members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus that the fate of deferred action program known as DACA — Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals — will likely be determined by the courts, perhaps as soon as September, and that attorneys he’s consulted with do not think the program is legally sustainable. Kelly also would not commit to extending temporary protected status, or TPS, for nationals from Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and four other countries, but indicated that TPS for Haitians will likely end.

“I have never left a meeting so emotionally affected than from what I just heard inside,” said U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-Ill., who estimated that millions of people could be deported. “And I’m positive that my colleagues heard the same thing that I heard.”

As TGP reported earlier, the pro-Russian hacker site “Cyber Berkut” published links between the Ukrainian government and the Hillary Clinton Campaign Thursday.

According to Cyber Berkut the Ukrainian foundation transferred 10 to 25 million dollars to the Clinton Foundation.

A whistleblower provided a very damaging email showing that the Democrats were plotting to ‘manufacture false evidence of the Russian security services’ involvement in cyber attacks during the U.S. presidential elections 2016′.
