Calling it ‘the new normal,’ feds arrest 200 illegal aliens in NC this week

After North Carolina’s largest counties cut ties with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the agency said it’s been forced to adopt a “new normal”: one that resulted in the arrest of hundreds of immigrants living here illegally this week.

“This is the direct conclusion of dangerous policies of not cooperating with ICE,” said Sean Gallagher, who oversees the agency’s operation in the Carolinas and Georgia. “This forces my officers to go out onto the street to conduct more enforcement.”

Dem Strategist On Party's Socialism Embrace: 'We Are An Out-Of-Control Roller Coaster' Handing 2020 to President Trump

One Democratic strategist is sounding a warning to his party, which is hurtling toward socialism with increasing rapidity day after day; there’s no one to stop them from heading toward the abyss.

As Josh Kraushaar notes in National Journal, a Democratic strategist told him, “We are on an out-of-control roller coaster going 100 miles-per-hour, and we have no functioning brake. No one is leading and that void could not be more clear.” Kraushaar himself cites California Sen. Kamala Harris advocating the end of private insurance at a nationally-televised town hall as well as five of the chief Democratic contenders for the 2020 nomination, including Senators Kirsten Gillibrand, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker, endorsing the insanely leftist Green New Deal.

Socialist Education in America

That America’s public education system is rooted and grounded in socialism has become more and more evident in recent years.

Commentator Charles Morse noted this on http://www.enterstageright.com back on March 25, 2002 in an article. He stated: “That the prevailing philosophies and methodologies of American public education are leftist is not up for debate. Leftists have dominated the federal Department of Education, most state Departments of Education, the teachers’ unions, many teachers colleges, and education foundations for several decades. Many rank and file teachers know this, and have observed the catastrophic results, yet the situation is so rotten that they dare not speak out…On December 5, 1928 The New Republic published an article written by self-described socialist John Dewey, the revered father of so-called progressive education, in which he revealed the true nature of the leftist education agenda. In the article, Dewey spoke of “the marvelous development of progressive educational ideas and practices under the fostering care of the Bolshevist government.”

That’s where Mr. Dewey sought to take public education in this country and where his spiritual descendants have indeed taken it.

Woman Charged with Assault on Kellyanne Conway

“[Y]ou need to control your temper, control yourself. You need to get over the damn 2016 election and do that because chances are — the big chances and I believe — that this man will be re-elected,” she said, referring to President Donald Trump.

White House counselor to the president Kellyanne Conway detailed in an interview published Friday allegations of an assault at a Maryland Mexican restaurant.

Conway revealed the story to CNN, saying it took place in 2018 shortly after the Supreme Court fight over the nomination of Justice Brett Kavanaugh. Conway was at Uncle Julio’s, a Mexican restaurant in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC, with her teenage daughter during the incident. Her daughter filmed part of the altercation on her phone.

Nigel’s Comeback: Official Brexit Party Recognised by Electoral Commission

Leave Means Leave Nigel Farage

Britain’s Electoral Commission has officially recognised the Brexit Party as an official and legal political party in the United Kingdom, which Brexit leader Nigel Farage has said is a force to fight back against the betrayal of the 2016 referendum.

Eyeing the growing likelihood of the British government betraying the will of the British people and failing to pull the United Kingdom out of the European Union — either wholly or in part — the new party will focus campaigning on making sure Britain leaves the political bloc.

The ubiquitous Miss O-C made her big splash yesterday and introduced her Green New Deal, and an amusing prescription it is.  If even a fraction of her plans were ever implemented, the U.S. would be transported back to before the Industrial Revolution. No fossil fuels, no airplanes, no cars, no heat, no air conditioning, no meat, no dairy.  Every home and building in the country would have to be retrofitted to comply with her ridiculous demands.  There would be "charging stations" everywhere; she does not say where the power to those charging stations would come from.  She apparently thinks wind (now provides 1.9%) and solar (now provides 0.5%) can fill the bill.  She must think the trucking industry that above all others makes our country work can run on wind or solar; it cannot.

When asked how to pay for all this, she suggests printing more money!  Has this woman ever considered how groceries and all other merchandise in stores get there?  Obviously not.

Video: Venezuelans Beg Americans Not To Adopt Socialism that Destroyed Their Country

Via Billy

If a president, during a State of the Union address 50 years ago, uttered the words “America will never be a socialist country,” the threat he was talking about would have been the Soviet Union. After all, socialism and communism got little traction in the United States, even during the Great Depression. The idea that anyone would consent to have it imposed upon them democratically would have been patently absurd.

Not so much in 2019. As President Donald Trump said that line during his speech before a joint session of Congress on Tuesday night, in the chamber was a self-described socialist who currently sits second in the polls for the Democratic nomination for president. Another self-described socialist has become a media darling and is known, after just one month in office, by her initials alone.

Has Trump Found the Formula for 2020?

Has Trump Found the Formula for 2020?

If the pollsters at CNN and CBS are correct, Donald Trump may have found the formula for winning a second term in 2020.

His State of the Union address, say the two networks, met with the approval of 76 percent of all viewers — 97 percent of Republicans, 82 percent of independents and 30 percent of Democrats. Seventy-two percent agreed with the president’s plans for securing the border with Mexico.

Trump was not only unapologetic in defense of his wall. He seemed to relish savaging the rising radicalism of Democrats on two critical issues many Democrats have, since their 2018 triumph, seized upon: abortion on demand, right up to the day of birth, and soak-the-rich socialism.

“Here, in the United States, we are alarmed by new calls to adopt socialism in our country,” Trump thundered. “America was founded on liberty and independence — not government coercion, domination, and control. We are born free, and we will stay free.”

“America will never be a socialist country,” Trump roared, as the camera focused in on the scowling face of Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Tijuana security plan unveiled; 1,800 soldiers and police to be deployed

National Defense Secretary Luis Cresencio Sandoval describes Tijuana's new security strategy this morning.

That makes me feel better, since I'm going there for a week.............:)

A large force of federal and state police and the military will be part of a new security strategy in Tijuana, Baja California, next week in response to a spike in the number of homicides.

A record 2,518 people were murdered in the border city last year, almost seven times the total in 2012.

President López Obrador this morning presented the rough draft of a security plan that will be implemented beginning Monday with the deployment of 1,800 military and police personnel. It was well received by local authorities.

“The revenue of the state is the state.”  Edmund Burke, Reflections on the French Revolution

Washington D. C. finds itself in the midst of an entertaining, nay consuming, Kabuki theatre.  The federal government has “shut down” its non-essential functions, re-opened the same, and promised to do it all over again in a few weeks, raising the question as to why it has non-essential functions at all.  Mr. Mueller’s fishing expedition continues sailing along through Mr. Trump’s tweet storms, as Democrats await the landing of the big tuna complete with waterside fish fry and impeachment.

Meanwhile, the Trumpites patiently fantasize about their man turning the tables on the evil deep state by purging the temples and draining good ol’ foggy bottom.  T’is all sound and fury underscoring Henry Kissinger’s view that the smaller the stakes, the more vicious the politics.

Another Myth of Saving the Union

Image result for , The Logic of History, Five Hundred Political Texts,

Lincoln soon realized that his war to save the union was an impossible dream and that the only way to victory was invasion and capturing slaves to deny the agricultural South of its needed labor force. Additionally, he allowed State governors to recruit homeless blacks in areas overrun by Northern troops and credit them to State quotas – thus relieving white Northerners of having to fight in an unpopular abolition war. William Milo Stone (1827-1893) below was a native of New York who moved to Iowa and served as captain in a State regiment. He was captured at Shiloh and paroled by President Jefferson Davis to help facilitate a prisoner exchange.

Another Myth of Saving the Union

“Col. [William M.] Stone, the Governor of Iowa, in canvassing that State in the summer of 1863, in his speech in Keokuk on the 3rd of August, said:

“Fellow citizens – I was not formerly an abolitionist, nor did I formerly suppose I would ever become one, but I am now [and] have been for the last nine months, an unadulterated abolitionist. Fellow citizens – the opposition charge that this is an abolition war. Well, I admit that this is an abolition war. It was not such at the start, but the administration has discovered that they could not subdue the South else than making it an abolition war, and they have done so . . . and it will be continued as an abolition war as long as there is one slave at the South to be made free. Never, never can there be peace made, nor is peace desirable, until the last link of slavery is abolished . . .”

Morrow B. Lowry, an abolition State Senator in Pennsylvania, at a [Union] League meeting in Philadelphia in 1863 said:

“This war is for the African and his race . . . When this war was no bigger than my hand, I said that if any Negro would bring me his disloyal master’s head, I would give him one hundred and sixty acres of his master’s plantation (Laughter and applause).

[A] Washington correspondent of the Chicago Tribune said through that sheet . . . “For years the disunionists of the North have manifested the boldness of Cromwell, the assiduity of beavers, the cunning of foxes, [and] the malignancy of Iscariots. Their money has been poured out free as water, in publishing and circulating Abolition tracts, speeches, inflammatory and incendiary appeals – not to national honor and pride, but to the passions and hot bed sentimentalities that fester in the breasts of malcontents.

In 1852, a series of pamphlets were issued for Massachusetts, entitled, “The United States Constitution and its Pro-Slavery Compromises.” From the “Third edition, enlarged,” of this treasonable publication we take the following:

“If, then, the people and the courts of a country are to be allowed to determine what their own laws mean, it follows that at this time, and for the last half-century, the Constitution of the United States has been, and still is a pro-slavery instrument, and that anyone who swears to support it, swears to do pro-slavery acts, [thus] violates his duty both as a man and as an Abolitionist.”

Robert E. Lee on Slavery: Truth-seeking versus Intolerant Virtue-signaling

Related image

Robert E. Lee was born on January 19, 1807. His birthday passed almost unnoticed this year, although it is still an official holiday in many Southern states and was once observed more widely in the South.

Yet Lee is still one of the most revered military leaders in American history. In fact, Robert E. Lee remains one of the most studied and respected military commanders in world history, although he was ultimately on the losing side.

However, it was Lee’s character over and above his military fame that made him so revered among his soldiers and among the Southern people for many generations.

It is a sad commentary on our present culture to see such manly courage, godly wisdom, and devotion to duty lost to this and future generations.
