The Barack Obama presidential campaign hired Fusion GPS in 2012 to dig
up dirt on Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, according to a
book released on Tuesday.
The Obama campaign hid its payments to Fusion GPS through its law
firm, Perkins Coie. The arrangement is similar to the one that the
Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee used to pay Fusion
for its investigation of then-candidate Donald Trump in 2016.
Professional atheist Richard Dawkins continues to push the envelope
against a God-deluded world, proposing that cultivating and eating human
“meat” might help society overcome its “taboo” against cannibalism.
Commenting on an article from the UK’s Independent
newspaper, which touts the benefits of lab-grown “clean meat,” Dawkins
tweeted earlier this month that perhaps something similar could be done
with human flesh, which would assist western culture in shedding yet
another irrational remnant of its Judeo-Christian roots.
Dawkins said that eating lab-grown human meat would provide an
“interesting test case for consequentialist morality versus ‘yuck
reaction’ absolutism,” which keeps people from doing things just because
they seem morally repugnant.
Republican National Committee spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany told
Breitbart’s Washington political editor Matt Boyle on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily
on Tuesday that every time U.S. House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi
(D-CA) talks, she improves GOP chances of retaining control of the House
of Representatives in 2018.
“Yes, keep talking Nancy Pelosi, you help us every time you talk as
we get closer to the midterms,” McEnany told Boyle and co-host Amanda
House, Breitbart’s Washington deputy political editor.
Last week, for instance, as Breitbart News reported,
Pelosi attacked both the U.S. Constitution and the Trump administration
when she “defended her home state Wednesday against what she called
‘the Trump Administration’s brazen aggression and intimidation tactics,’
after U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions filed a lawsuit to have
California’s “sanctuary state” statutes declared unconstitutional.”
“It’s so important” that Republicans keep Nancy Pelosi from regaining the Speaker’s gavel, McEnany told Boyle.
“Yes, keep talking Nancy, because even Democrats like Conor Lamb are
having to throw you under the bus because of the damage you are doing to
your party .We’ve got to stop her. We cannot allow liberal Dem policies
to take over this country,”McEnany said.
McEnany noted that Hillary Clinton is doing as much damage to
Democratic prospects as Pelosi, as she recounted how the entire RNC was
“dumbfounded” by the failed presidential candidate’s recent comments
made in India criticizing Americans who voted for Donald Trump in 2016
instead of her.
It
has always fascinated, and worried me at the same time, how many people
I meet that are still mesmerized by aspects of the pyramids in Egypt
that archeologists solved many years ago. The when, how, what and where
aspects are all now understood, leaving “why” as the real mystery.
How Many People Built The Great Pyramid?
Archeologists, Engineers and amateur enthusiasts debate on exactly
“how many” people contributed to the building of the pyramids in Egypt,
which were erected for each of three pharaohs: Khufu, Khafre and
Menkaure. Most Egyptologists over the last two decades have thought this
number to be between to 20,000 or 30,000 based on the size of the tombs
and the cemetery, but famed Egyptologist, Zahi Hawass, believes around
36,000 ancient Egyptians built the pyramids.
The first attempt at guessing what this elusive number might be was
made by the Greek historian Herodotus, who estimated that “100,000 men
worked in three shifts” to build the structures. The trouble with this
account is that it was unclear whether each shift contained 100,000 men,
or 33,000 men worked three shifts. According to a archeologist Mark
Lehner of the Giza Plateau Mapping Project at the Oriental Institute of the University of Chicago and Harvard Semitic Museum postulated a different number.
A publicity photo, no date or location, but too good a photo to stay in
my files. It's probably from 1943 when the WACs were put on active duty
status in the US Army. 150,000
volunteers served in the WAC during WWII.
Although they served with uncomplaining
distinction, it was far short of the hoped-for replacement of a million
men for reassignment to front line duty. The WAC was folded into the
regular Army in 1978.

in the main living contentedly in quiet, peaceful homes surrounded by
loving families; perhaps competitive but by no means viciously so;
suspicious not of each other but of YOU and your ilk, their would-be
masters, and quite rightly too; comforted and enriched by the Christian

Zero Hedge - Baltimore Mayor Pledges 60 Taxpayer-Funded Buses To Drive Students To D.C. Gun Protest ...
she's a Black Lives Matter mayor
In 13 out of 19 Baltimore high schools, not one kid passed minimum
proficiency tests, the school system has a deficit so bad teachers are
being laid off and the city says they can't heat the schools, yet
they're going to take 3,000 school kids to DC so "their voices are
heard" at a gun control rally. With lunch and a free t-shirt. Projected
bill to taxpayers: $100,000.
Meanwhile, Baltimore ranks just below Juarez for most violent cities in the world . Keeping them company on the list are
St Louis, New Orleans and Detroit. These four have something in common, and it isn't the NRA.
The city of Baltimore has an astounding murder rate of 55.48 people per
hundred thousand. Last year's murder rate was nearly as high as the
year that the riots erupted over the killing of Freddie Gray by city
police officers. There's a murder nearly every day of the year in
Baltimore and the police force there is widely considered to be one of
the most corrupt – if not the most corrupt – in the nation.
Time for a sea story from World War II, an account of a
remarkable event told by CDR—Commander, for you army pukes,
O5—Salamander. A couple of excerpts ...
As the destroyer HMS Glowworm
emerged from the squall she came face-to-face with the 14,000 ton
German Heavy Cruiser, Admiral Von Hipper armed with eight 8 inch and
twelve 4 inch guns ...
After a brief description of the unequal battle in which the
Glowworm goes down in a final all-out lunge while heavily damaged and on
fire:
You want class? Need 'professionalism' defined? I present to you two men, LCDR Roope and CAPT Heye.
Out of a crew of 149, only 31 survived, the only officer
being Lt Robert Ramsey. The prisoners were treated well by the Germans
who congratulated them on a good fight, and Captain Heye told the men
that their Captain was a brave man.
Later, Heye sent a message through the International Red
Cross recommending Lt Cdr Roope for the Victoria Cross, the only time in
British history that a VC has been recommended by the enemy.
The action took place in heavy seas off the coast of Norway
in early 1941. Hipper was damaged and Glowworm lost. Glowworm was an
old-school 'greyhound' destroyer, small, fast, lightly armed with four
120 mm main guns, reliant on speed and her torpedoes to engage capital
ships, but as part of a set-piece battle, not a one-on-one.
During the
battle the Hipper's gunnery was what you'd expect from the
Kriegsmarine, all but unerring. The first shells fired hit Glowworm
decisively, yet she fought on.
Several photographs were taken by Hipper during the
engagement, so astounding was the ferocity and courage of Glowworm. And
yes, LCDR Roope was posthumously awarded the VC. What better
recommendation could a man have than his counterpart in battle?
Captain
Heye survived the war, Hipper did not.

Home schooling is one of those things that scares the living
daylights out of the Educational Establishment and the Deep State. Home
schooling, and Christian education in general tend to be areas where the
participants do not always (usually) accept the Establishment version
of history and/or politics.
From time to time, as they feel they can get away with it, the
“change agents” in the educational bureaucracy seek to remedy this
situation by trying to find reasons to enforce new controls that will
give them more power and control over home schooling, its curriculum's and its participants.
Apocalyptic scenarios attributed to global warming are simply false
and the human race will be able to accommodate whatever “climate change”
throws at us, claims a remarkably sober new essay in Scientific American.
The essay,
penned by John Horgan, the director of the Center for Science Writings
at the Stevens Institute of Technology, analyzes two recent reports by
“ecomodernists” who reject climate panic and frame the question of
climate change and humanity’s ability to cope with it in radically new
terms.
One of the reports, a work
called “Enlightened Environmentalism” by Harvard iconoclast Steven
Pinker, urges people to regain some much-needed perspective on climate,
especially in the context of the overwhelming material benefits of
industrialization.
Pooh-poohing “the mainstream environmental movement, and the
radicalism and fatalism it encourages,” Pinker argues that humanity can
solve problems related to climate change the same way it has solved
myriad other problems, by harnessing “the benevolent forces of
modernity.”
Been trying to find out where John Bell Hood's amputated leg was buried. We know that Stonewall's are has a rock marker, on a plantation not where he died. The reports say that Hood's leg was sent with him as it was believed he would not survive such an amputation of the thigh area. Apparently, it is thought to be buried in Tunnel Hill, Georgia.
Whatever can be said of Hood, he was a man of great personal courage. Nancy P.S. I first read about John Bell Hood in Mary Chestnut's Diary of Dixie when he was mentioned recuperating in Richmond, Virginia. Life after the War left his many children orphaned due to the Yellow Fever which killed his wife, himself and at least one child.
The threat, by Chief of Russia's General Staff Valery Gerasimov, was widely reported by Russia media sites such as state news agency RIA and Tass.
It said Gerasimov said Russia had "reliable information" about militants preparing to falsify a government chemical attack against civilians. (I doubt it not a whit."
Gerasimov said Russia would respond to a U.S. strike on Syria if the lives of Russian servicemen were threatened, targeting any missiles and launchers involved.
Fred Platt, in a neck brace, a cane in each hand, in his “party suit.”
In his remarkable and factual book, “The Ravens,” author
Christopher Robbins chronicles the cloak-and-dagger story of “The Men
Who Flew in America’s Secret War in Laos” (Crown Publishers).
He prefaces it with thumbnail descriptions of the Ravens, “the skilled and incredibly brave men,” whose stories he tells.
Of
Houstonian Fred Platt, he writes: “FRED ‘MAGNET ASS’ PLATT: A Texan
with attitude, who took so many hits in his aircraft [on 111 different
combat missions], his colleagues said he had a magnet in the seat of his
pants. He survived the hell of crashed landings and being shot down
only to enter a nightmare journey of recovery back in the USA.”
On
this Veterans Day, we salute the man whose buddies originally dubbed
him “Cowboy” – Capt. Alfred “Fred” Platt, U.S. Air Force Retired.
As
the supporters of the Second Amendment watched on, Governor Rick Scott
of Florida threw the Amendment into the swamp with the gators, and young
Ashley Troutman of Lakeland, Florida with his courageous plan for
reconciliation was tossed in as well, as the NAACP and its hate filled
rhetoric and intimidation led that Charge just like they did against
MLK Jr. before his assassination.
Everyone of them nothing but lying hypocrites who called King weak, and useless for his non- violent stance; and who now act as though they had so much love for him. They now exploit his name and legacy as they revel about the table of brotherhood burning before a 21st century audience of duped Southern black's and Southern white folk guilters who have no idea other than the lying rhetoric produced in the public school systems designed to inculcate into the thinking processes of our people that began in 1865 pitting us against each other.
