California: Clinically Insane
A homeowner was arrested Tuesday after he shot at three burglary suspects which he claims were preparing to break into a home in his neighborhood in Alta Vista, California. He says they also tried to run over him with their car when he went to confront them, and that’s when he shot at them, striking the front passenger.
According to a local Fox News affiliate, the homeowner, James Monroe, 57, had witnessed the trio burglarize a neighbor’s home, only to return less than an hour later looking for additional loot. When he saw the car casing the area and one of the occupants get out of the car and walk through a neighbor’s yard, he told his wife to call the police, armed himself with a 9mm handgun, and walked outside to question their presence in his neighborhood.
San Diego Police Officer Dino Delimitros said that once Monroe walked into the street, the suspects saw him, then tried to run him over with their car while attempting to flee. That’s when Monroe fired two shots into the car, one hitting the front passenger in the head.
Minutes later the three arrived at a local hospital. The man who was shot, whose name has not been released, was treated for the gunshot wound, which appears to be non-life threatening. The two girls who were with him, 18-year-old Tronicqua Yvonne Henderson and 19-year-old Javonna Renae Percy-Simpson, were both arrested. According to the San Diego Police Department, one had a felony warrant for auto theft and the other had a misdemeanor warrant. In addition, the vehicle they were in was also reported stolen.
Monroe was also arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Killian and Moore will provide input on how civil rights can be violated by those who post inflammatory documents targeted at Muslims on social media. “This is an educational effort with civil rights laws as they play into freedom of religion and exercising freedom of religion,” Killian told The News Monday. “This is also to inform the public what federal laws are in effect and what the consequences are.” ... Killian said Internet postings that violate civil rights are subject to federal jurisdiction.

Fort Worth PD Guns Down Senior Citizen in his own Driveway
Man reportedly shot
Two police officers in Fort Worth are claiming the reason they gunned down a 72-year-old man in his own drive-way is because they “felt threatened.”
Early Tuesday, Jerry Wayne Waller heard his neighbor’s home alarm system sound, so he grabbed his gun and began walking over to investigate what the problem was.
“The 72-year-old man didn’t even make it to the house across the street before he was shot. He died on his own property,” reported CBS Fort Worth.

Of Waller’s family, one of his neighbors, Becky Haskin, a former Fort Worth City Councilwoman stated, “They are just a nice retired couple, that loved working in their yard, having family over, and grandkids.” Haskin also said she saw the officers “sobbing uncontrollably and very distraught” following the shooting.
Fort Worth police Cpl. Tracey Knight said, “Officers felt threatened by the man with the handgun and he was shot,” but Waller’s family says they are “disturbed” by this excuse.
“We were disturbed by suggestions that police may have felt threatened by a man in his own garage faced with unknown trespassers wielding flashlights,” the family remarked in a statement released today.
Waller’s family says police have also been feeding misinformation to local news stations and the public. They are calling for an independent investigation into yesterday’s deplorable police actions.
Waller’s wife Kathy told NBC DFW she was “disgusted” by the incident, describing the officers as “trigger happy.”
“He would give you the shirt off his back, and he was loving, and he was a wonderful husband,” Kathy said the day of the shooting. “I think the police made a terrible mistake.”
The officers involved, R.A. Hoeppner and B.B. Hanlon, have been on the force less than a year and were not hurt, according to law enforcement. They have been placed on administrative leave until the investigation concludes.

American Nicole Mansfield reportedly killed in Syria

The family of an American woman killed while fighting with rebel forces in Syria have spoken of their shock and said she had converted to Islam after marrying a Muslim man.
Nicole Lynn Mansfield, 33, was one of three westerners reportedly killed in Idlib province in the north of the country. Syrian TV reported that they were killed earlier this week, and implied that all three were fighting alongside the al-Nusra group, an affiliate of al-Qaida.
Speaking from the family hometown of Flint, Michigan, relatives of Mansfield said they did not know who she had been with and were not even aware that she was in the region.
"I didn't think she was (a terrorist), but God only knows," her aunt, Monica Mansfield-Speelman, told the Detroit Free Press.

Kindergartener interrogated over cap gun until he pees his pants, then suspended 10 days
In the latest incident of anti-gun hysteria to erupt in a school setting, a kindergarten boy has been suspended from school for 10 days because he showed a friend his cowboy-style cap gun on the way to school.
The incident happened on Wednesday morning at about 8:30 a.m. on a school bus in Calvert County, Maryland, reports The Washington Post.
The kindergartener had brought the toy gun because his friend had brought a water gun the previous day. He later told his mother than he “really, really” wanted his friend to see it.The suspended boy had acquired the menacing, plastic, orange-tipped weapon at Frontier Town, a western-themed campground with a water park, mini golf and the like.
School officials at Dowell Elementary School in the town of Lusby proceeded to question the five-year-old for over two hours before finally calling his mother, whom The Post also does not name.
The principal eventually called the boy’s mother at 10:50 a.m. By that time, the five-year-old had wet his pants (which the mother called highly unusual).
The principal told the boy’s mother that the boy had simulated shooting someone on the bus with the offending novelty. However, both the boy and his older sister, a first-grader, say the principal is not telling the truth.
The Post explains that the principal — Jennifer L. Young, according to Dowell Elementary’s website — told the kindergartener’s mother that things would have been even worse had the toy gun been loaded with caps. In that case, the school would have regarded the plaything as an explosive and called the police.

haven’t. The truth is that Representatives Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Joe
Manchin (D-WV) are still at work — still trying to pull Senators over to
their anti-gun side.
Sen. Toomey told the Philadelphia Inquirer recently that he is looking “to bring some more folks on board” — and that if successful, “then of course it would be
worth bringing [gun control] up again.”
Both he and Manchin are still at it, trying to twist arms and coerce people over to his
side.

Islamic jihadists shouting 'Allah is the greatest' destroy Christian holy site
A newly released video shows al-Qaida-linked jihadists bulldozing a shrine dedicated to the biblical patriarch Abraham in a city in eastern Syria.
Worldwide, there have been dozens of instances over the past few months of Muslims attacking and destroying shrines, holy sites or archeologically significant locations, including in Mali, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Libya and Somalia.
It shows a man throwing an explosive and then declaring, “The heresies that were worshiped besides Allah have been burnt.”
Repeated many times is the cry of “Allahu akbar.”
Then another man states: “The [secret expeditions] will start the destruction of the shrine” and “the idol is being destroyed.”
A report from the Alalam website explained the attackers were al-Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front terrorists. The group has allied itself with the opposition in Syria fighting the regime of President Bashar al-Assad.

Effort to oust Sheriff Joe fails
The effort to recall “America’s toughest sheriff,” Maricopa County, Arizona’s Joe Arpaio, fell short of the 355,000 voter signatures needed by yesterday afternoon.
Arpaio reacted to the outcome in a statement.
The recall campaign was launched by Respect Arizona and Citizens for a Better Arizona, which protested the sheriff’s aggressive approach to stopping illegal immigration, charging his office targets people on the basis of race, in violation of the Constitution.
Respect Arizona said it believes “our children deserve a sheriff that respects families, respects immigrants and respects Latinos.”
Randy Parraz, president of Citizens for Better Arizona, told the Los Angeles Times the two groups had nearly 300,000 signatures by the 5 p.m. deadline Thursday. He said the setback won’t slow down Arpaio’s critics, vowing “this fight is not over.”
In support of Arpaio, whose backers are as passionate as his enemies, a group called Citizens to Protect Fair Election Results was formed.
The group’s attorney Larry Klayman, founder of Judicial Watch and Freedom Watch, said “dangerous, subversive-like activities of Respect Arizona have the potential to launch this county and possibly the entire state in what can only be called an ‘Electoral Civil War’ that could cost the citizens of Arizona millions of taxpayer dollars.”

Former IRS chief Shulman reportedly visited White House at least 157 times

The Caller analysis of White House visitor logs showed former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman visited the White House at least 157 times under the Obama administration.
Even Attorney General Eric Holder, one of Obama's closest allies, visited only 62 times according to the records.
The records may not reflect every single visit, as some officials do not have to sign in every time they come to the White House.
But they could lend weight to concerns voiced by lawmakers at a hearing last week about the frequency of Shulman's White House contact. During the time period when the IRS was singling out Tea Party and other groups for extra vetting -- as they applied for tax-exempt status -- Shulman visited the White House 118 times.
