Abundant Acreage Available: A Woman Can't Lose What She Never Possessed

Like many traditional-minded people of this era, I have become disenchanted with products of the modern movie industry which are mostly either filth, silliness, or formulaic pablum. To my fortunate surprise, I recently stumbled upon a gem of a movie from 2017 called Abundant Acreage Available. Written and directed by NC native Angus MacLachlan, the entire film takes place in the field and home of a small North Carolina tobacco farm. The uncluttered, serene setting is ideal for highlighting the film’s dialogue, thus putting intense focus on a simultaneously mundane and momentous episode impacting the lives of two families.

NC: House Committee Passes Purchase Permit Repeal

Thanks to Reps. Jay Adams, Hugh Blackwell, Keith Kidwell, and George Cleveland, today the NC House Judiciary 4 Committee passed H398, a full repeal of North Carolina’s Jim Crow-era pistol purchase permit (PPP) law – a law which not only allows some urban sheriffs to obstruct people from buying handguns for self-protection,

Not only are Republicans on board with repealing the racist law, but now the NC Sheriffs’ Association has joined them in supporting repeal. And who does that leave still supporting racist gun control? Democrats.

DeSantis Blasts Woke Corporations: ‘Grow a Spine and Actually Stand Up’

                                 

“But it’s really hypocrisy rooted in cowardice. These are executives who are scared to death of the left and the corporate media and so they always want to take the path of least resistance, and they think the path of least resistance is just to cave and to kind of give them what they want,” he continued.

 Leaders of “woke” corporations must “grow a spine” and “stop being sucked into genuflecting to the left,” Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview Monday.

DeSantis spoke to Breitbart News following his signing of Florida’s anti-riot bill, which enhances criminal penalties for rioters and takes a stand against defunding the police in the Sunshine State. On the emergence of “woke” corporations caving to the radical left, particularly in relation to state efforts to implement basic election integrity measures such as voter ID — like in Georgia — DeSantis said it is the height of hypocrisy given the fact that many of these entities continue to do business with bad actors, like the Chinese Communist Party.

“Anti-Riot” Bill Signed into Law by DeSantis, Democrats Furious

 

Democrats are furious over a new bill which aims to protect police officers, citizens, and businesses in Florida from violent rioters.

On Monday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the bill HB 1 into law.

The State’s Senate approved the bill in a 23-17 vote.

The law will provide stricter penalties for violent acts perpetrated during a riot, including an increased felony charge for assaulting police officers.

Florida Sheriff Welcomes New Residents, Warns Them to Not ‘Vote the Stupid Way You Did Up North’

 

During a news conference held by Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) at the signing ceremony of a new anti-rioting bill passed by the legislature, Florida Sheriff Grady Judd on Monday advised new residents of the state who moved south from assumingly Democrat-run states to not vote the same “stupid way you did up north.”

The Polk County Sheriff also praised the governor and Senate President Wilton Simpson, House Speaker Chris Sprowls, and other lawmakers for prioritizing the safety of Floridians.

Putin formally bans same-sex marriages in Russia

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday signed into law a series of constitutional amendments that, among other things, formally defines marriage as between a man and a woman in the country.

The Associated Press reported upwards of 78 percent of Russian voters backed the amendments in a referendum that took place last July. Russian lawmakers later approved the constitutional changes that also allow Putin to run for president two more times.

Jonathan Pentland Arrest: Incident Reports Say Black Suspect Sexually Harassed Woman, Tried to Snatch Baby

The Black Lives Matter saint seen getting pushed by Army Sergeant Jonathan Pentland on Monday in a viral out-of-context video reportedly sexually harassed a woman and attempted to snatch a baby in separate incidents in Pentland’s neighborhood just days before the confrontation took place.

Right before the confrontation took place, the alleged “victim” — identified only as “Deandre” — allegedly approached “several neighbors in a threatening manner” at which point neighbors ran to Pentland’s house and begged him to help protect them.

The incident occurred in a suburb in Columbia, South Carolina and is being reported by the media as a white man harassing a black man for “walking while black.”

Derek Chauvin Guilty On All 3 Counts In George Floyd’s Death

Following nearly a year of protest, introspection and raw emotion, former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin, who last May held a knee down on George Floyd’s neck for more than 9 minutes, has been found guilty of second-degree murder and two other charges in Floyd’s death.

Chauvin has been remanded to the custody of Hennepin County. He was led out of the courtroom in handcuffs.

College Of The Ozarks Sues Biden Over Executive Order That Puts Biological Males In Female Dorms

 

College of the Ozarks is suing President Joe Biden over his anti-discrimination executive order that would force the school to abandon its religious principles in favor of left-wing gender politics. 

Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), a religious liberty legal group, filed a lawsuit in the Western District of Missouri on behalf of the College of the Ozarks, claiming that Biden’s anti-discrimination act “requires private religious colleges to place biological males into female dormitories and assign them as females’ roommates.”

Parler Bends The Knee To Big Tech

Today Apple announced that they would be allowing Establishment Oligarch-owned Parler back on the Apple App Store. This comes after Parler ousted their pro-free speech CEO and Founder John Matze, who claims that his 40% stake in the company was stolen from him. After removing Matze Parler implemented a “troll filter” to censor “trolling content,” whatever that means.

Bloomberg reported that Parler is working with third-party artificial intelligence software company Hive to automatically censor and remove content that Apple doesn’t like. Hive works with other Big Tech companies like Reddit to leverage artificial intelligence to censor content at scale.
