The faction that used to be the Democratic party can be described with some precision these days as a three-headed monster driving the nation toward danger, darkness, and incoherence. Anyone interested in defending what remains of the sane center of American politics take heed:
The first head is the one infected with the toxic shock of losing the 2016 election. The illness took hold during the campaign that year when the bureaucracy under President Obama sent its lymphocytes and microphages in the “intel community” — especially the leadership of the FBI — to attack the perceived disease that the election of Donald Trump represented. The “doctors” of this Deep State diagnosed the condition as “Russian collusion.” An overdue second opinion by doctors outside the Deep State adduced later that the malady was actually an auto-immune disease.

Incredible. the media at "work" is almost laughable. reporters are just that today. they report what they are told. all reporters are going for the Woodward and Bernstein award and have forgotten what it was that those two did in order to get their cred. they actually investigated the people involved in the scenario they depicted in their news articles. they two of them investigated the facts of the case they made. they backed up those facts with more facts and witness statements which they also investigated. all their facts had at least three different sources when it came to witness statements. they had an editor who stuck their noses into the muck and required them to inhale and digest if they wanted to get published. I remember this. it was investigative journalism at its best.
ReplyDeletethe milksops reporting today get their info from press briefings. their sources remain hidden. they get it wrong so often as to be unworthy of my time, let alone my attention. they don't bother with multiple sources of fact in order to affirm the truth of the facts if their initial finding supports their personal agenda. when facts which don't support their agenda )or that of their masters) come out, they ignore and bury those facts. today's news reporters, whether online, mainstream tv, print, or radio are just plain LAZY, INCOMPETENT, and IMMORAL.
the fourth estate deserves so much better for a field protected by an amendment to the US Constitution.

DeleteI was in Vietnam at the time and didn't keep track, but when he left, I was worried that it wasn't going to be good for Vietnam.
I've never believed a reporter since Viet Nam. I could see what was happening and I got to see the reporting when I got out. It wasn't the same world. Walter Cronkite on down were half assed journalists with a narrative to maintain and nothing more. They are as corrupt as the DC uniparty.
