Democratic presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke said on Wednesday that police officers would go to the homes of people who refuse to comply with his proposed law banning AR-15s and AK-47s, if it was put into place, and seize the banned guns.
O’Rourke said during the Tuesday debate that people who don’t comply with the law, which is thought by some to be an infringement of the Second Amendment, would have their weapons taken away from them, but stopped short of saying law enforcement officers would visit houses to seize the firearms.

But wait! I thought they've said state and local LE are not supposed to enforce fed laws, you know, like immigration and assisting ICE?
ReplyDeleteAs I understand, SCOTUS has ruled that state and local police cannot be used to enforce fed laws, so we can have sanctuary cities and states, especially against this UNCONSTITUTUONAL "shall not be infringed" criminal tyranny he proposes! --Ron W
:) I doubt there is anything we would agree with him on.
DeleteBrock - there isn't anything that I would agree with bobby frank on.
DeleteAnonymous @5:07 - THAT tactic is what should be used to hamstring ALL attempts to force people into compliance with un-Constitutional laws.
There are currently some counties across the country that have declared themselves "Gun Sanctuaries". Cherokee County in North Carolina is one.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteI would hope that a courageous soul that Beto volunteers to be part of the first home invasion.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he will with no hesitation at all.......:)
DeleteBeto plans on sending hired guns, "assault weapons" which "belong on the battlefield" that they have and keep for themselves to take from us. Those weapons "which have no place on our streets" will be sent to our houses in VIOLATION of the Bill of Rights! He expects us to obey laws that that violate "the Suprme Law of the Land". Down through history even unyielding now, anyone who wants you disarmed wants you dead! --Ron W
ReplyDelete:) Don't believe he will ever get in the position to order such, thankfully.
DeleteI'm not so sure, he will never win the nomination, but should a demorrhoid (I did not coin the term, but feel free to steal it.) win next year, I could easily see Francis being nominated for director of homeland. Should that happen, he will be in a position to pick and choose individuals who would have no problem kicking in your door either at 4 in the morning, or simply waiting until you've left for work for the day.
ReplyDeleteNo my friends if serving in the navy and working in the corporate environment has taught me is that whenever there is something distasteful, or illegal to be done and those with integrity have said "no" in no uncertain terms, there will always be a friggen weasel who will slither forth and present himself to those who ask for his help. As long as he will personally benefit. More so in the military than you might think. That alone, should give everyone pause.
Agreed and as far as the military, I imagine 10% would be all we could count on unfortunately.
DeleteBut they, leftists, don't want our military on the border in actual enforcement, to "repel invasion" but they'll use them to go into citizens' homes to UNCONSTITUTIONALLY violate their rights!!? --Ron W
ReplyDelete:) Par for the course.
