The inestimably acute and prolific blog-commenter Subotai Bahadur coined that acronym and has propagated it across the conservative-libertarian corner of the blogosphere ever since. It has achieved the status of an entry on Acronym Finder, for whatever that is worth. It is shorthand for “those who are no longer our countrymen” – itself an abbreviation for a slashing denunciation of those American colonists who were in sympathy with the wishes of Great Britain by Samuel Adams on American independence, delivered in a fiery stem-winder of a speech at the Philadelphia Statehouse in August of 1776 –

“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Sam Adams was a bit of a fire-eater, and the speech must have been magnificent to listen to, for certain of the phrases sound like a tocsin, a war-alarm on the ear. “Ye love wealth better than liberty,” “The tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom,” and “Crouch down and lick the hands that feed you,” which reminds me irresistibly of the establishment media as represented currently. Not to speak of “May your chains set lightly upon you,” – and “forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Yes, that’s the phrase that slashes like an old-fashioned straight-edge razor; clear and cold and across a couple of veins. “Forget that ye were our countrymen.”

Border Patrol Agents Contracting Scabies, Agent Speaks Out, Given Cease and Desist Order

“Every 72 hours we receive 140 children from Texas. In every one of these groups we are seeing some kind of disease or infection. We are seeing obvious scabies, head lice, kids coughing and spitting up mucus, poor sanitary and hygiene. These kids are wearing clothing they left their country in. Already we have had three agents who have contracted scabies from these kids.”

UNSHAKEN: Murrieta Residents Turn Away Buses for a Third Time

 

 I'm proud of you and could this be a turning point?

Is this the latest “Cliven Bundy” moment? It is certainly starting to look like it.

The residents of Murrieta have certainly had a good share of chaos and intimidation tactics to deal with in recent days. Yesterday we reported that “riot squads” were allegedly being dispatched.

Whether the riot squads are rumors or real, the obvious intent is intimidation.

Actions of amnesty supporters over the weekend were deplorable. Pro-amnesty supporters trampled, burned and shredded the American Flag and shouted “F*ck America” on Independence Day.

Tempers are very high and La Raza has now moved in. La Raza is a Mexican supremacist group.

They have no regard for the southern border and believe that much of America belongs to Mexico.

They have called, on more than one occasion, for violent revolt to take America back.

We now have a judge in Texas who is warning locals that they will not tolerate a Murrieta repeat in his town. This story is starting to spread like wildfire across the globe. For instance Russia Today has been covering Murrieta extensively.

The people of Murrieta made their point when they made the first set of buses turn around. It was already a great story. No one would have really expected them to do it again.

Sirens blare as rockets target Tel Aviv

 

Air-raid sirens sounded in Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv opened bomb shelters as Gaza terrorists launched rocket attacks at central Israel Tuesday night.

In the largest barrage from Gaza yet, more than 40 rockets have been fired into Israel in the attack, the Jerusalem Post reported.

The Gaza-based Hamas jihadist group, which governs the territory, has declared that all Israelis are now targets for attacks.

No significant injuries have been reported, the Post said, as the Israel Defense Forces’ Iron Dome rocket defense system has intercepted a number of rockets.

The paper said two loud thuds were heard by residents in downtown Jerusalem shortly after a rocket siren went off in the capital at about 10 p.m., sending thousands of city residents to bomb shelters.

Air raid sirens were also activated in the cities of Rishon Lezion, Bat Yam, Holon and Bnei Barak.

In its ongoing Operation Protective Edge operation, the Israel Air Force struck 50 targets in Gaza in the past two hours.

An internal Border Patrol executive summary obtained by Townhall confirms that at least 16 unaccompanied illegal minors (those under the age of 18, according to U.S. government policy), are members of the brutal El Salvadorian street gang Mara Salvatrucha—or MS-13.

Gang members left graffiti on the walls of the Nogales Border Patrol processing center, which suggested they had ties to the organization.
