1968 Ford Mustang Cobra Jet Lightweight

 

Ford had the beginnings of a drag-racing superstar when it made the 390/320 HP FE big-block engine available in the Mustang in 1967, but it took the creator of the famed Thunderbolt drag racers, Ford dealer Bob Tasca, to once again show Ford management the way to success. Having already built a supercharged 390 Mustang for street use, Tasca challenged Dearborn with his version of a lightweight Mustang Fastback powered by a 428 CI FE big-block engine specially built by Tasca’s engine expert John Healey. Ford brass invited Tasca and his car to the Dearborn test track and were so impressed by the car’s performance that they decided to build 50 purpose-built lightweight Mustangs for 1968 using two versions of the 428 CI engine they dubbed the Cobra Jet: one for Super Stock/E with 11.6:1 compression and a solid-lifter cam; and the other set at 11.0:1 and using a somewhat milder hydraulic cam for C/Stock.

*Amazing, my '65 Mustang Hi-Po 289/271 ran in C/Stock.  What a difference 3 years made.

Clinton’s 2008 campaign manager admits birther connection

ANALYSIS/OPINION:

Hillary Clinton’s 2008 campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle admitted on Twitter and in a cable interview Friday that a Clinton staffer had indeed spread the rumor that President Barack Obama was born outside of the United States.

The admission came after a heated exchange Friday afternoon with Ari Fleischer, George W. Bush’s former spokesman, who was pressing Ms. Doyle for the truth that Mrs. Clinton’s 2008 campaign was responsible for creating a whisper campaign in the press that Mr. Obama was ineligible for the presidency.

Ms. Doyle told Mr. Feischer it was a “lie” that the campaign spread the rumors, but then admitted in the same tweet a 2008 staffer had indeed sent an email spreading the birther conspiracy.

A new bombshell report written by Jerome Corsi suggests that President Barack H. Obama’s passport records were likely ‘sanitized’ by the acting Director of the Central Intelligence Agency John Brennan, leading up to the 2008 presidential election, after Brennan achieved the status of Director of the National Counterterrorism Center under the Bush Administration until Aug. 1, 2005.

That’s right, the sleazeball may be the one almost solely responsible for allowing an illegal foreign entity, i.e. Barry Soetoro, A.K.A. Barack Hussein Obama, to ‘salt,’ sprinkle, his way into the White House under CIA direction thus reacquiring full control of the helm from the CIA ran Bush Administration. You see, it was nothing more than a passing of the baton–it’s so simple.

And if you think I’m joking I’m not. This is how business has been done for years, ever since John F. Kennedy was taken out of the picture on Nov. 22, 1963.

Nation's largest police union endorses Trump

The nation's largest police union on Friday endorsed Donald Trump for president, lauding his commitment to police officers.

The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) gave the GOP presidential nominee its endorsement after he received support from more than two-thirds of the group's national board.

"[Trump] has seriously looked at the issues facing law enforcement today. He understands and supports our priorities and our members believe he will make America safe again," said Chuck Canterbury, the FOP's national president.

Wells Fargo fraud department inundated with calls from low-income Clinton supporters reporting repeated unauthorized charges.

Hillary Clinton’s campaign is stealing from her poorest supporters by purposefully and repeatedly overcharging them after they make what’s supposed to be a one-time small donation through her official campaign website, multiple sources tell the Observer.

The overcharges are occurring so often that the fraud department at one of the nation’s biggest banks receives up to 100 phone calls a day from Clinton’s small donors asking for refunds for unauthorized charges to their bankcards made by Clinton’s campaign.

EUROPE must help Christians BEFORE Islamic people and sink empty migrant ships to save the Mediterranean, the tough-talking prime minister of Hungary has demanded. 

 

Hardliner Viktor Orban pulled no punches as he pinned the blame on the “elite” of the failing European Union (EU) for the escalating migrant crisis engulfing the continent.

The prime minister, who has called a referendum in Hungary over EU migrant quota systems, said the superstate had “collapsed in front of our eyes”.

A defiant Mr Orban called on the beleaguered bloc to focus on helping Christian people in order to tackle the migrant crisis, which has seen millions of refugees travel through the continent’s open borders.
