The Shame of Bentonville

Bentonville is the lovely little town in Northwest Arkansas that I have spent nearly my entire life in. At the heart of Bentonville, in the center of our town square, there has rested a Confederate monument for the last 112 years, honoring the Southern soldiers who, carrying on the spirit of their Revolutionary fathers and grandfathers, gave their lives for the freedom of their fellow Southrons and all of their descendants. For over a century, not one man quarreled with our monument. That changed within the past few years, just as Bentonville has, just as our whilom nation has. Last autumn, our monument was attacked and seriously damaged by two egalitarian brownshirts, both of whom are members of the nouveau riche that have lately colonized our town. Now, without one single vote cast, without a single town hall, without a single word of notice, the rulers of Bentonville have unilaterally decided to remove our monument.

I embarked upon this investigation to answer one simple question: Who removed our Confederate monument? After weeks of obfuscation, unreturned phone calls, and warnings to not tread where there be dragons, I was able to unearth the truth. What I discovered was an extraordinarily vast conspiracy, three years in the making, planned and carried out by a culprit so powerful that the local newspaper refused to print a condensed version of this piece. While it was initially written for the citizens of Bentonville, its microcosmic message applies to all of us, in every defiled town across this country that once was ours.

VIDEO]"Black Lives Matter" Founder Admits During Recent Interview ...

Patrisse Cullors, one of many founders of the Black Lives Matter movement, just admitted that they are “trained Marxists” and that their goal is “to get Trump out.”

Cullors: “We Are Super-Versed On Ideological Theories” Of Marxism

Speaking to Jake Tapper on CNN on Friday, Cullors, one of the founders of Black Lives Matter, said that “President Trump not only needs to not be in office in November,” but that “he should resign now.”

Cullors added that she thinks the President “is not fit for office,” and that what the Black Lives Matter organization will “push for is a move to get Trump out, while we’re also going to continue to push and pressure vice president Joe Biden around his policies and relationship to policing and criminalization, that’s going to be important. But our goal is to get Trump out.”

Tucker: Why mobs are tearing down America's monuments: These aren't protests. This is a totalitarian political movement and someone needs to save us from it.

Comment on: Trump Denounces Wave of Statue Toppling: "In EVERY case, there is a Democrat mayor or city council who is deliberately preventing abundant police from protecting institutions and property."

Demonstrators pull down Thomas Jefferson statue in front of ...

"Unclear who is behind it"? It's the democratic party and affiliated subgroups. There is nothing "unclear" about it. In EVERY case, there is a Democrat mayor or city council who is deliberately preventing abundant police from protecting institutions and property. EVERY CASE.

Trump Denounces Wave of Statue Toppling

Though it’s unclear who exactly is behind each monument’s desecration, Attorney General William Barr said recently that the Department of Justice has evidence that Antifa and other similar groups have “hijacked” initially peaceful protests triggered recently by the death of George Floyd.

At his first reelection campaign rally in months at Tulsa, Oklahoma, Trump linked the recent wave of statue toppling to an attempted communist-style revolution.

“This cruel campaign of censorship and exclusion violates everything we hold dear as Americans,” the president said on June 20. “They want to demolish our heritage so they can impose their new oppressive regime in its place.”

*Robert E. Lee quotation

The book Grandfather Tales of North Carolina History (1901) states that:
During the late unhappy war between the States it [North Carolina] was sometimes called the "Tar-heel State," because tar was made in the State, and because in battle the soldiers of North Carolina stuck to their bloody work as if they had tar on their heels, and when General Lee said, "God bless the Tar-heel boys," they took the name. (p. 6)[10]
A letter found in 1991 (dating from 1864 in the North Carolina "Tar Heel Collection") by North Carolina State Archivist David Olson supports the theory that Lee might have stated something similar to this. A Colonel Joseph Engelhard, describing the Battle of Ream's Station in Virginia, wrote: "It was a 'Tar Heel' fight, and ... we got Gen'l Lee to thanking God, which you know means something brilliant."[11][12]
