Homeowner shoots and kills intruder in north St. Louis

Police are investigating after a homeowner shot and killed one of the two men who allegedly broke into a north St. Louis house Wednesday afternoon.

Police say it happened near Marcus and Labadie.

Police said Jerome Burse, 38, and another man broke into the home and took various items. While the suspects were in the home, the homeowner saw them and started shooting. Burse was shot and killed. The other man ran away from the scene.
